@Vegard:
Well, his Japanese speech-quirk didn't really show up at all in any of his lines this week, so of course they wouldn't do anything with it now. We should see how they handle it next week. But yeah, they SHOULD do it like "Vi is going to help vyour friend", but for some reason, I kinda doubt that's what they'll end up doing.
Regardless of what they do, the Scanlators do it by just giving him a German accent flat out. He said several "W" words in this episode and not one was replaced with a V. That makes me very happy, because that means that whatever they end up doing, it won't be to give him a German accent, they'll probably figure something more specific to do, or they'll ignore it entirely. Not every speech quirk needs to be/can be communicated. For example, Bon Kurei ends most of his sentences with "Wa yo". That's a very feminine gesture that is used by Bon-chan as part of his Crossdresser persona. To properly translate it, would be to write in a lisp into his dialect, or to make him end most of his sentences with "My Dahling" or something flamboyant. But that's odd and wouldn't work every time, so they choose not to do it, and it's perfectly fine for it. It's essentially akin to Naruto's "Believe it" and we all know how THAT came out with the fanbase. >_>
The right way to do it would be to somehow incorporate a V into every personal pronoun.
