Well that was fun, told ya I sucked at pokemon. Good game though.

You are not that bad. You just need to work on more unpredictable move-sets and anticipate switch outs from the opponent. I'm quite sorry about how my Gengar treated you… I built her to specifically use Icy Wind to take out Pokemon with x4 weakness and to cripple speed to assist my slower Pokemon. While it's a weak move, it has a nice chance to KO or 2hKO Dragons and Ground types. Dangerous move indeed. It's only drawback is striking through Special Defense. Dragonite and Heracross I threw in for fun. Snorlax was expirmental. I indented to build a wall that's annoying to kill. I used Outrage instead of the Smogon set's suggestion(body Slam I think) because it hits more Pokemon and has decent base power. If you has something like Close Combat or Superpower, maybe you can take it down before it gets any Curse boosts.

Yes, I really need to work on my strategy a lot more, I don't play against much human opponents so this was a good lesson for me.

Well I used the pokewalker and got me only 1 pokemon, a male Nidoran. Think I gona keep it and train it. Anyone knows, if I can learn a Nidoking some attacks at the "attacklearnerperson", which he would have learned as Nidorino? Not sure when I should evolve him to a Nidoking^^

Got my 1 Badge, and I'm now infront of a dungeon (don't know the name in english), which you need to pass to come to the next city. But think I gona train first my pokemons to lvl 16-18, before I go through it.

Going up against Whitney soon on my Heart Gold Nuzlocke run. So far I've lost no one, but I had a few close calls with my Slowpoke (Shavo) and my Hopip (Cliffy B.).

I have the feeling this run is going to make me hate critical hits more than I already do.

I just fought her, and she wasn't a big deal for my lvl 21 Krogi(Sandshrew). I just used the Rollout-Attack on her and it worked really well.

After the fight my Krogi even evolved <3333

If you can't kill Militank in one hit, it will curbstomp you with some really strong OHKO critical attacks, and heal itself from any damage you've caused. Plus its got great defenses to make it even harder to kill. Even going back to the original Gold and Silver, it was an extraordinarily strong creature fairly early in the game. Strategy can beat it, but brute force has some trouble.

Rollout only works cause it has some weaker enemies to warm up against. And there's also a chance of missing an attack, its not guaranteed to hit 5 times in a row. (As I love sandshrew, I has some experience with the move. Great when it works… not so much when it doesn't.)

I was horribly afraid of that darn Miltank as well.
I remembered that thing all too well from G/S/C and trained all night long to get my team ready to kill it with one hit. Thankfully it worked.

I found a few Heart Scales doing Rock Smash on a bunch of rocks In Cianwood City but it took forever to get them.

Clair was the reason I stopped my SS nuzlocke run. (I won, but lost half of my team in the progress)

You can buy them at the Pokeathlon on wednesday and sunday.
That's also where you can get all of the evolution stones. (on different days)

I know for a fact that you can't get the (important) stones before beating the Elite Four, but I think the Heart Scales are available (and bloody cheap too). Not sure though.

What the what? I tried every single day, they never offerend any good ones! Granted, I was only looking for a Thunder Stone all the time and didn't care about the rest, but I can guarantee you that that one was never available prior E4.
I found dozens of other stones, that one fisher guy alone gave me tons of Water Stones, but no luck with Thunder.

I'm going back to training again, standing infront of my 4 Badge, but I don't really have anything to fight against the ghosts… But then I realised that I still got 2 other Fritz! (Ratata) in my box, and since they learn some nice awsome attacks, I'll gona train one of them and hope, that it will stay this time with me...

Think I'll gona train 2-3 Pokemons out of my team to lvl 28-30 now.

I got scared to death yesterday, when I enterd the big tower with the 3 dogs in it, and suddenly my rival showed up... My team wasn't ready for this battle, but somehow I did it by using 2 super potions...

I have a Raticate…used him quite a bit. Tho I caught a Dratini in Dragon's Den (HA! SCREW YOU MAGIKARP!) and boxed him.

My 2nd rattata died too-.- Stantler killed it in one hit with stomp attacke-.- Again my rattata was short before evolving-.- Got lucky and found a new rattata in a cave… I need a strong one to get my 4th badge =/

Grrr, My router never works with nintendo stuff. On my regular settings, I put the password in and it keeps saying it's invalid, when I know it's right. If I set it up to allow a guest, it connects….until the very last second.

Surprisingly nobody died. Although Sir Croc was knocked into 1-4hp about four times.

New games can have WPA keys and the DSI also, classic DS doesn't, is it really that hard, to change it to WEP for 10 minutes do wtv you want and change it back? :P

If the network has a password yes if not and since its an hotspot it probably doesn't, you should have any problem, you just have to insert a game in the ds before playing you should have the wifi options there, go there if it picks up a hotspot it should make the configuration by itselft just go there test and confirm it, turn the game on and use it, should be easy if you did this already I don't know how to help you sorry :P.

It does matter, they have a capture rate and the pokeballs also have a capture increase rate, so it matter for instance the better way to catch anything nowadays even legendaries is, send a quick ball on the first turn, thats I caught my legendary dogs ofc it can break.

The other thing I do is only catch them at night with Dusk balls, wich increases the chance a lot, so yeah quick ball and dusk ball are the way to go.

Its always nice to get one in a pokeball though, I have a Mewtwo on one too, crunched him with my Tyranitar by mistake and he didn't die then also by mistake I threw a pokeball and he was caught at first try, it was pretty awesome.

This is the first time it's happened with me. I usually just chuck Ultra Balls and Dusk Balls. And I never use my Master Ball, unless it's a runner.

The Mewtwo in Leafgreen, and the Giratina in Platinum were very annoying, however, and I was tempted to use the Master Ball on them.

Yeah, I know, but with the amount of luck you need to catch a legendary it doesn't really change anything.
Even though you are of course right about dusk balls and quick balls … it's just that I always forget those exist. I sort of live in the first generation, so the only options I consider are regular, great, ultra and master ball.

I don't think I've ever caught a legendary with a pokeball. I do believe I caught Darkrai with a great ball though.
