Beelzebub

@Kaizou:
It looks like Beelzebub going to get the color page (23 pages) on Issue 13 (which means chapter 240). So, I think Beelzebub will most likely going to end with color page?
Not sure. There's still quite a bit of stuff left to be covered: the Solomon Company, that Athrun guy and his boss, who the teacher's demon contractor was, Beel's dad's face.

That doesn't really matter since Beelzebub is most likely get axed. If it is axed, then those one don't really matter much.
Plus, Jump needs make room for 4 new series, so Beelzebub needs to end.
-
It's a shame that so many questions will be left unanswered.

Chapter's out. http://manga.redhawkscans.com/reader/read/beelzebub_2/en/0/239/page/1
! I was going to comment on the fact that this chapter was basically the end of the Cell and Buu fights from Dragon Ball blatantly mixed together, but I was kind of surprised to see the series itself (I assume - it might have just been something from the scanlators) commented on its resemblance to Dragon Ball.
! Also, the end of the chapter comments that next week's colour page is for the series' fifth birthday, and it doesn't say anything about the next chapter being the last one, so there's hope that this could continue a little while longer. -

! That really support that it'll last longer. Sket Dance had similar situation and it still ended.
-
I'm almost certain the next chapter is the end. 5 years is a respectable run length. I also like the trend of giving ending series color pages for a proper send-off, instead of just letting them die in the back of the magazine with no fanfare at all. Like ES21. ;_;
-
And in the end The General was 0.
-
Wow, went full on DBZ with that spirit bomb to end things.

It would've said next week is the final chapter in the comments then.

ES21 didn't had color page?! I'm almost certain that it had.

Nah, it was a Father-Son Kamehameha
-
That was the most Dragon Ball-ish ending for a fight ever since… Dragon Ball.
-
The scene with those guys putting their hands up saying "Here, take it!" made me LOL
And I was expecting that half-way through the Father-Son Kamehameha, Oga's dad will appear and "help"
-
It brings tears to my eyes to know that this series is about to end. It has a lot of potential, now wasted. At one point, I think it even surpassed two of the Big Three. sigh
-
I'm kind of sad that it has to end this way. :c
I really enjoyed Beelzebub for a long time though lately it lacked more and more of the fire it had once at the beginning. I still remember how much I laughed at his "nice face" expression when he first meet Beel and asked him what he's doing there. XDDD
I hope it ends with some hints for HildaxOga though I doubt that given how rushed the ending is coming. >.<
Maybe in the future there will be a sequel with Beel as teen and his love triangle of a yakuza tsundere and a yamato nadeshiko yandere in the human world while trouble gets breed in the demon world and war and intrigues are made to replace the king and stuff happens. And there we could see the old cast as other main charas besides Beel/support/side charas and see what became of them in those ten/twelve years till Beel is the guy he is now.
I know I would read that especially if it plays with the meaning of being human or demon and having Beel to decide on his own fate to leave the demon world to itself and a possible evil king raising to power and lives blissfully in his human world or if he shoulders the responsibility and leaves his "home" to do what has to be done and prevent the demon world to fall into chaos and someday even take the human world in it as well. It's what I missed about Beelzebub, more of the demon world, more of the demons themselves and more about Hilda. We always had tiny parts shown of Hilda's past and upbringing and events in her life and personality and other stuff, stuff which were pretty much never used most of the time like her special eye thingie. This was kind of a wasted potential to me as I would have liked that we get to learn more about Hilda and thus also see Oga learn more about his "wife".^^
Well, all good things have come to an end at some time. Maybe next chapter won't be the very last one of Beelzebub, who knows.
-
I would say… Oga's power was over 9000
-
chinese scanlation is out for the last chapter.
still sad to see it ends.
now to wait for the spin-off.
-
Farewell, Beelzebub. Maybe Beel's departure will save Iron Knight…
-
The spin-off is probably some sort of one or two chapter deal like Good Loser Kumagawa from Medaka Box.
-
Seems like this series still had lots of potential and its sad to see it go with so many things left unexplained and when the world was getting bigger and bigger. Maybe it'll continue somehow in the future. I doubt it though.

at least the last chapter was humor oriented.
I solut you beelzebub, it was a fun ride, pitty you had a terminal desease at the end.

So… we didn't get to see the King's face... even though it was promised...
-
I almost shade a tear reading this chapter can't believe this manga is already over even though I was urging for it to happen, but its always sad to see something end, eaither way I love the serie and can't wait for the spin off.
Rest in peace Beelzebub
-
Easily one of the most underwhelming last 30 chapters of a series. Had some good laugh in the prime. R.I.P.
-
Is that really it? Thought he was gonna continue with the two kids?
-
"Ai Furuchin"
I am just glad that it managed to end without becoming as bad as Naruto or Blech.
And despite the obvious issues I shall always remember this series in a good light with a smile.
-
Good night sweet general.
-
Got some Crows/Worst vibes here (the man who united Ishiyama, the graduation, etc. . .).
Even as the last chapter, it lacks so much closure it's not even funny: Oga appears on the second to last page, and the last pannel we'll ever see is not even a group shot or anything like that. Not even a human being appeared on the last page. Talk about unceremonious ending. . .unless the spin-off continues from here, but then it wouldn't be a spin off but a sequel, so I doubt it.
Even with its faults, this was a very charming final chapter. No matter the many flaws this series had, in the end it was a fun and enjoyable ride, and it had some really memorable moments and a great cast of characters.
It will be missed.
-
Two year time skip where we completely miss all of Furuichi's badassery as the General, mastering all the demons of the pillar squad able to use any of their abilities, all the fights, etc.
Oh well, Beelzebub ended like it started.
-
Like most stated, definitely a bumpy ride, but a manga that still produced a child rearing badass. RIP Beelz
-
Well. It's a nice little chapter to close it off. I ended reading it with a smile, and some chuckle in between the pages. Farewell Beelzebub
-
So many plot lines that were gonna get developed and now it ended! I need answers! What’s Natsume’s power? Who was that guy in the Demon World Arc? Will we ever find out about Furcas? The Demon Lord’s face? I just hope the spinoff will answer some of these questions although I'll doubt they'll add it all in a few spinoff chapters. but yeah Beelzebub will be sorely missed. Now One Piece will be the only currently running WSJ manga I'll be reading… :'(
-
Oh well, that's that.
-
Goodbye Beel ;_;
-
Wonder what the spin off series will be about.
-
Is the spin-off series confirmed or you guys are simply hoping for it?
-
Wow, that was a really bad last chapter. Oh well, farewell!
You were an average series in the end and I had some fun reading it. -

I can't stand the fact that the magazine gave the author so few chapters for a proper ending. It was a fun series (mostly). So why not give him 4 or 5 chapter? Now we have so many unanswered questions. No Demon-King-Face etc…
The last chapter was very well done, though, considering it has to be rushed to no end. The big Furuichi-panel brought me a tear. So sad, but it was fun. Thank you Beelzebub! Thank you Tamura! -
@Massimo:

Well the last page text is pretty straightforward about it.
I kinda liked the chapter. Don't see how he could have made a better ending considering the circumstances. I love open-ended happy ends. And I laughed out loud at Furuchin, hahaha.
After reading previous chapter, I had a feeling some kind of spin-off could happen, especially while Demon Lord had his monologue. And I'm glad. We'll probably get answers to some of the questions there. And I like how Tamura gave even more questions with this last chapter. You get the feeling he hasn't given up on his story, and I respect that a lot.
-

Totally confirmed, it will start in May.
Farewell Beelzebub, it was definitely a good ride!

The manga ended on its anniversary color issue, a traditional procedure for many long running manga in WSJ.
Meaning, the author knew waaaaaaaay in advance when it was going to end.The magazine is not at fault at all, Tamura's inability to wrap things up or resolve plot points is at fault. (and also the reason for its popularity decline)
-
You know, that ending was pretty decent. Granted, a lot of things were left up in the air, but I enjoyed the ending itself. Nice fake-out by Tamura with the Demon King's new daughter, by the way–I'm sure most of us immediately thought she was Oga and Hilda's child (if humans and demons can even have children together in this series, I honestly don't remember).
Let's hope the spin-off in NEXT is good (i.e. comedy-oriented), for however long it happens to last...
-
Who else thought that the baby girl was Oga and Hilda's child? Haha. Damn. I'm not satisfied with the ending. It's so rushed. Damn you WSJ!

They can. That president four-eyes guy who liked Shizuka who was into Toujou was a half-demon. Some of his ancestors or one of his parents was a demon. And we had that little demon doggie who helped Aoi out who we were told belonged along with many other types of demon, to a clan which was defeated in the war and exiled into the human world. However that never got explained any deeper than that which is a shame though. Would have liked some excorcists or angels or a liga of half-demons who wants to excorise or control beel or stuff like that.

Me, for a split-second I was like "NORWAY!OGAXHILDADAUGHTER!" then my brain immediately shut my shipper side down and Oga's explanation confirmed what I feared: Nope, just another baby of the demon lord and demon queen which they gave away just like that because why not? >.<
-
Man I'm so sad it ended. Thoroughly enjoyed every chapter, I really hope the spin-off series is just as fun.
So many unanswered questions though, I really wanted to know more!

Hm, I thought (because of the rushed last chapters) Tamura fell victim of executive meddling. Thanks for the clarification.
