Jeez, what is left to talk about that people have all these blah blah blah left in them to say….anywho, next week the action BEGINS!
Chapter 525 "Underwater Prison Impel Down" Discussion
-
-
You mean the week AFTER next week.
-
I am sure he means next week since we get the raw spoilers around 16th of December
-
-
God, everytime I see this thread, I keep thinking it says Underwear Prison Impel Down…
And no offense intended to you, Flandrian, but I would find it extremely hilarious if Shanks revealed at the end of the story that he had been made Pirate King by Roger and Rayleigh long ago.
-
Lol Brennen, ambivalent about Alvida for Nakama? Aren't you glad Oda is in control of this series? =D
-
I am glad that Oda doesn't visit forums like Arlong Park…...... if not...... I dread to think what would One Piece turn into if Oda reads from the internet forums......
-
I know right, otherwise crap like this would have even the tiniest chance of happening, but luckily that isn't the case.
Anyway, Buggy's finally coming back to the main story. That alone makes for a great chapter.
-
If people are just ga-ga over the iron mace, I think Vivi used a similar one back in Vol. 18 to smack down the Monster Trio.
Vivi or Alvida? Choose Wisely.
-
Alvida. Easy choice.
-
Alvida. Easy choice.
Neither give one to a new chick or Marge….............
I prefer where Oda has put Alvida for now.
-
And besides that, Alvida's not a total bitch.
-
Alvida for nakama okama for nakama perona for nakama buggy Ace blackbeard WB for nakama…. Yeah that all makes sense to me. Neither Alvida nor hancock has any dream to follow the SHs. To me they're not interesting. Alvida was a cruel pirate and we haven't seen any flashback of her. I wonder what tha arguments are for her to join the SHs? I bet that only the mens here wish her to join :) It's simply that she hasn't shown any potential yet. The same applies to hancock (she has no dream. If we put the sexual possibilities, where hancock and alvida and the other Shs can be involved, aside)
-
Hancock 4 Nakama - She has a dream, freeing al the slaves in the world. could be her dream
And, it's to early I think to call it day.. I mean.. even Robin came unexpected so…. Hancock could join and would have a bigger past later.. or Perona could join could also gat a past later. A new person in Impel Down can join ^^;;..
I hope that we could just stop the who is going to join things and just think about other things..........
Like could we find Tom back in Impel Down?
-
Teach also has a dream–> becoming PK
Does it mean he will be the next SH?
Lots of Pirates have dreams. -
hey Marshall D Teach the name Tenryuken sound familiar to you?because you have the same signature like him.LoL

You know, crap like that could happen….... it's only a matter of if Oda wants to make Dragon an opportunistic villain or honourable one. So, in the even Oda does give crap like that, are you going to say something else?
Think about it. If you were the villain of some anti-world anti-government organization. Those 5 old geezer are left wide open due to everyone focusing on Whitebeard.
Would you
A: Wait and see who emerge winner.
B: Kill those 5 old geezers when they are not looking your way. Since they are looking at Whitebeard's way.
C: Do the honourable thing and do it the democratic way.
D: Drink booze and watch the show.Anyway, it's crap, so Dragon actually is really an honourable guy.
-

Which brings us to the next 27 page discussion topic: Are the Gorousei Strong?
-
This post is deleted!

I don't think that Gorousei are strong at all. I mean, they are only five old guys. Of course age isn't problem in one piece (think about Kureha, Garp and Raleight), but I think that Grousei are more like, the brains of World Goverment, while Marines are power. I mean, not everybody needs to be strong…
-
Was CCC sarcastic when he suggested that as the next discussion topic? =P
Will people discuss it anyway? =P
-
If they wouldnt be strong then
a) there would be no need for sword one of them carries
b) they wouldnt have the muscluar physicSo my guess is that they are strong…
-
You're an alcoholic?
You're Shanks????
A double yes on those and I know they are not accepting spoilers this week but this CAN be considered as such :D

The flaw in your argument is that Dragon isn't a villain, the WG is (that's kinda why they use Ace as bait for WB), so it's not going to happen.
-
Assuming the gorusei are not strong is foolish. Everybody knows any character that Oda gives a scar to can fight. Characters with funny mustaches also are top tier in the op world. I'll end by saying who carries a sword and can't use it? It's like carrying a gun with no bullets.

LOL! my apoplogies you red-haired unsuccessful drunkard…....
-
When has Oda said that he does put scars only to people who fight? How do you know that Gorouseis aren't just really clumsy? Or if they just fought when they were young? Of course it is possible that they do fight, but I don't see reason for that. There are already so much fighters, so why should every single character be one? I'm not saying that it is absolute that they don't fight, but it would be nice, that there would be also characters who don't fight, but still had a lot of power.
BTW, why are people saying that Alwilda should join Strawhats? Or Ace? Or Buggy? I wouldn't like that idea. Big brothers never want to serve under theyre li'll brothers, Buggy is one of most important enemies of Strawhats, and I don't see any reason to Alwilda joining.
-
Was CCC sarcastic when he suggested that as the next discussion topic? =P
Even I don't know most of the time.

Since ppl are discussing it you were obviously not sarcastic.

I wonder how Buggy got out, because the prison's supposedly made of seastone.

http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/169/11/Yeah, that's something I've wondered too. While I can understand now how the guys at Impel Down don't know that he's an ability user I find it weird that there's actually non-seastone-cells at Impeld Down. Especially after that statement by Smoker. Let's hope that there's plausible reason for it. If not, well, then we can call it screw-up. =/
-
Have you all thinked that it might be common that prisoners escape from their cells? It doesn't mean that they've escaped from ID. You can somehow get the key to your cell. You've seen it with some baroque works agents.
-
That is ok. But the comment made by the assistant warden makes it indicate that they didn't he escaped because of his DF ability which they didn't know about, which shouldn't be an issue if all the cells have seastone barrs.
So if he got out because he used whatever he had on his hands, a spoon or whatsoever it wouldn't be nothing that we ain't seen in prison break movies before. But if it's because of his DF ability alone, then it's quite weird because from what was said in by Smoker at least the DF ablities of the prisoners shouldn't be an issue.
-
He has bitten himself through the bars -_-
-
Well technically, he could stay away from the bars, unhook his hands and find a key to his cell. As long as he doesnt touch the bars, he would of been fine. It all depends.
We are also not sure how far can he break down his body. He could of floated piece by piece of his body out of the cell.
-
He could probably split his body to pieces without touching the bars and carefully slip his body part through the bars without touching them.
I'm sure Oda will cover it though.

The problem is though, if it was simple as that Smoker would have long escaped Crocodile's cage back then at Arabasta. Obviously it doesn't work like that. The question remains why?

Probably impossible for the smoke not to touch the bars.
-
Why do all of the cells have to be made out of Kairouseki? Was it stated somewhere or just an assumption made by fans?
In any case, the only prisoner we've seen shackled up in Impel Down whom we are sure of having a Devil Fruit is Ace. And he's - yanno - shackled up. Which are probably Kairouseki cuffs and chains. Which could mean that next to none of the cells are made of Kairouseki. They could just chain the Devil Fruit Users up.
-
if all bars/shackles are kuroseiki or not would probably depend on how rare the mineral is. could be a cost issue where its not efficient to have everything made out of seastone compound.
Or possibly the seastone cuffs are a bit weaker then regular iron/steel/whatever-metal-they-are-using ones so they don't want to restrain normal ppl with them since they could break out?
(diamonds are hard to cut, not smash. same could apply to seastone) -
Probably impossible for the smoke not to touch the bars.
Pretty unlikely considering that Smoker can change it to follow his command. So he should get it a) thin enough and b) have control over its movement to not touch the bars.
-
It's really simple to me. ID is full due to kizarus ego. We cannot assume that much seastone handcuffs there since the material is rare and the prison is really full now. So they tried to guess who are the most dangerous DF pirates in the 500 and they put seastone handcuffs on them. They underestimated Buggy cause 500 is a lot of pirates and they're stressed of the war. Someone made a mistake and labeled buggy as a normal idiot pirate (moreover he is a clown and looks like that. Noone can take him serious with that look …). That's it! He was able to use his df power in his cell. He waited for the right moment and made his move. Next topic :)
-
It is not the issue how Buggy was brandmarked a non-DF-prisoner (because I see it exactly as you discribed) but how he was able to escape a cell using his DF powers if it is said that ALL the cells have seastone protection. That is the inconsistency here.
-
So what about new temporary cells that have been built because of the 500 pirates? I bet that they never expected to have 500 more pirates in one rush. And these cells aren't made of seastone.
-
Simple. he split his parts first, then he had someone else inside the same cell push his parts through the bars (although he couldn't controll his parts they wouldn't snap together just because they were touching seastone) and then when they are on the other side of the bars they arent affected anymore and he can controll them as usual.

Ok, that could work but would be really tough to swallow. Something of the size of Impel Down should have no problem having enough space for 500 new prisoners.

While I don't think that this could happen the general idea is brilliant. He could have simply split a part of his body before he went into the cell and hid it well until he used it at the appropriate time. I mean, just think back of his title page story. How come I didn't think of that? Thanks for the input Gorlom. I wonder if a seastone cage would be an issue here.
-

Basing this on what? We've never seen him try making himself thin. This is unfounded speculation.

this raises a question for me: can he actively control his powers while in a seastone cell? Does he bleed when he's stabbed in a cell or are his powers still active and he falls into pieces?
No matter how it turns out, I'm pretty sure Buggy's escape will big a gigantic Comic relief XD
