So since its an unfinished work, theyre still going to correct and fix what they need to for the dvd/blu ray correct? Have they done that for releases before cuz im planning to purchase the blu ray when its released since its going to be region free
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

According to Inoue's words, the staff just made this SP in a hurry, and in fact what we saw is an unfinished work.
Inoue said he was even still correcting key animations on Friday.
Poor Inoue, Thanks for the info. I hope they won't repeat the same mistake next time.

It's possible they'll make fixes for the home video releases then, even if it's not something Toei regularly does.
This is not OP's exclusivity though, a lot of tv airings recently seem to be suffering from tight schedule and rushed production.Speaking of which, did the Episode of Nami have any change?
-
Maybe or maybe not… It's TOEI, you know.

I've watched both, and I usually pay good attention. I think it's almost the same, both versions were solid.

Man I wish I didn't watch it.
Looked like it was done by a group of new interns in MSpaint within a week.
What I don't get is why almost every frame was copied from the original episodes. Why not give your own twist and try and shorten in it like the Nami special ? It was like watching 3 arcs in Fast Forward.
Example: Usopp vs Luffy fight. even the way the camera point of view went around the bullet was the same, the way Luffy dodged the shurikens was the same. Even how the caltrops suddenly appeared was the same. No effort to make it their own what so ever.
This special was a disaster, original episodes were by far better (with the exception of Robin's introduction at the start). Probably blew up this 'special' mania after the succes of Nami's special and hand island.

Posted in the other thread - but it seems Luffy is a Time Traveler O.o

Seriously, I can't stop watching this…
Ishizuka needs to do more Key Animation. He does awesome kicks.
From all his scenes, this is the most dynamic one so far, he must have improved a lot judging by this.

Agreed this really feels like it has impact, got the feeling it kinda lacks in that department in martial arts fights.
Like Sanji kicking vergo into the wall, he was more floating towards it.
Vergo's Geppou on the start of the episode was done well too. Sanji on Fishman island was walking on a invisible stairs.

What with preview for episode 611?

Mr. Horisawa told me his cuts: From the water wheel of mini Merry ~ just before title. Merry Drop from sky ~ Water 7 fountain & Shipyard.
He also said that he participated a little in Episode of Merry, and that he will work more from time to time on the TV series.
BTW, I think I found something interesting…
OP#TVSP7 - Yoichi Mitsui? 三ツ井洋一?
I have noticed his FX animation from before in these episodes:
476: Marco flies ~ Garp Punch Marco (Same Smoke FX).
484: After Akainu falls down, the scene where the Marines fall into water.
556: Beginning action (Similar shading style/Body shape design), not Nakatsuru? I had doubts on that scene since Naktasuru cuts tends to look more fluid, but I went with the Sakuga wiki opinion, I should have trusted my instinct.
559:I also found similar style in 512 with Usopp running and in 493 a short cut of Luffy trying to grab Ace then falling off the cliff.
Since I've watched Ep of Merry yesterday, I was trying to remember where I saw this FX style then I watched a lot of episodes until I found it.
Yoichi Mitsui is a member of this group 第四作画室, which includes Inoue and Tomita. That's why these three work together a lot, I think.
What do you guys think?

The only thing I don't care for in that clip is Luffy's Gum-Gum Rifle. The original episode made it look like it was at least a powerful attack that was being repelled. In this one, it just looks like a regular punch (w/o any impact) w/ Luffy's arm just twisted. Other than that, the scene itself seems pretty solid.

Same here, Didn't like the impact of the rifle, but judging by his other works, he seems to be a great animator. So, I wouldn't judge him from this special, I mean if an Umakoshi scene didn't impress me, what do you expect from others? Everyone was working under pressure, don't expect their best performance.
What I like about Mitsui is his shading style, and his obsession with creating detailed pants. It seems all of the fourth drawing room members are into details. Also, I really like his smoke animation, I hope he does more smoke filled scenes.

Last night I finally got around to watching a subbed version of the Episode of Luffy special end-to-end. Is it known who did the final Gigant Gatling? I seem to remember the name of the animator being mentioned here, but I can't find the particular post.
The colors and shading during the part where Shanks saved Luffy from the Sea King looked very retro with the that shade of orange for the sky and the green water. I wonder if that was intentional, since Luffy's character model was at times reminiscent of the old OVA.

Akira Matsui.
Yeah, I noticed that as well. Good choice.

I'm not familiar with this style. Looks great, though. I might figure it out one day, but now I just lack the experience with other studios.

Whoa is that the Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon?

My version of Movie 6 Sakuga MAD, had to do it. Compared to the original, this have much more animators.
-
Can you also do Sabody Archipelago and Impel down Sakuga videos?
-
Hiroyuki Imaishi…that's not a name I ever expected to see associated with One Piece.
-

Yeah, I'm working on Sabaody, just music issues. I've done the Impel Down one, but last time I got a strike for the music I used, so I have to re-do the MAD with different music.

With Mamoru Hosoda, anything is possible.

Alright, that's awesome

If possible XMURADX I think it would be awesome if you did some sakuga's highlighting some of the animation directors work over the course of the series (like Eisaku Inoue, Naoki Tate, Kazuya Hisada, etc….) but that may be asking too much since I know your sakuga's tend to focus on key animation.

Mmm, interesting idea. I think I have a nice way to do it. But I've found pics to be more convincing than videos when it comes to Animation Directors.
Anyway, I have a couple of projects which I'm working on at the moment, that I would like to finish first.

I seriously want to know so bad who made The "Fight together" Opening video,it looks absolutely beautiful in character art, background art and animation also in direction and storyboarding.
can anyone tell me who was character designer, animation director, director and storyboarder for the op?
My version of Movie 6 Sakuga MAD, had to do it. Compared to the original, this have much more animators.
Even know I didn't find the movie visual impressive this is an awesome video what on earth is that awesome track at the start? I feel like I've heard it from somewhere.
I felt that the scene where luffy flys around spasticly to attack the flower was dumb seeing it's by Hiroyuki Imaishi now makes sense now.

I always assume that Kazuya Hisada is the Animation Director for all the Openings. But I'm not sure, and it seems that we will never know the art director (Background art).
Anyway, I know who did some of the Key Animation in the OP:
Beginning still shots = Kazuya Hisada
Sunny appears ~ Camera pans to the sky (Fly to the light lyric) = Kenji Yokoyama
Zoro action ~ Sanji action = Naotoshi Shida
Zoro Flashback = Kazuya Hisada
Usopp Flashback = Masahiro Shimanuki?
Sanji ~ Nami Flashback = Kazuya Hisada Or Shuuichi Ito?
Chopper Flashback ~ Robin Flashback = Yukihiro Urata
Franky Flashback ~ Brook Flashback = Kazuya Hisada?
Last part from Light shinning behind Luffy ~ End = Atsuko Kawamura?Even know I didn't find the movie visual impressive this is an awesome video what on earth is that awesome track at the start? I feel like I've heard it from somewhere.

Jounetsu tairiku, there is a lot of versions for this music by Hakase.

Thanks am only good at spotting the obvious guys like shida, tomita, nakoi tate and ishizuka no good when it comes to kazuya.
for the background I suspect it's the same person that did the background for the sabo arc
on one piece wiki credits half the episode have Miho Shiraishi as art director the other half have Ryūji Yoshiike as art director both joined around the 200s but both have over a 100 episode each.

I think it might be the work of Ryūji Yoshiike since he worked on #493 which debuted the Opening.

That reminds me that my project to compile that data kinda fell by the wayside. I'll see if I can start that over.

So what happened to Masahiro Shimanuki? back when he was working on dragon ball z My god the man was animator Jesus, budda and cthulhu rolled into one, his made some the best tv anime animation I've seen(and I've been watching anime for about 20 years), Now adays I don't know, I see him down as animation director of recent one piece episodes but I don't see that beautiful flashy animation or gorgeous use of colour, am thinking is that the same Masashiro shimanuki that worked on dragon ball & z.
-mygod at that pulma getting chased by a boar scene and vegeta rage
- the bulma goku honeymoon/after wedding scene is so beautiful damn what use of colour.
-
Why do One Piece characters look so big and lighter than in earlier episode, Choppers was small before but now his head is huge
Luffys skin was darker but now it isnt…
Hate how the animation got after Water 7
-
-
Great, Yokoyama for #612 means there is hope someone good might handle #613.
Deguchi and Yokoyama are out of the way, Immamura and Ueda are out of the way as well. Looking good so far…
-
Hey guys, not sure if this has been posted here but I found a snap shot from the episode 611 and it's from the onepiecesecretcabinet.

Murad, I was wondering if you were going to get a new account. I went on YouTube earlier to see your channel for any new updates and then I discovered that Toei has gotten their grimy hands on you. If possible, could you send me a link to your new channel when the time comes?

Sorry about that bro. I will make a channel, but after a while. In the mean time, I will be re-uploading stuff here: https://t.co/6nres9t3I3
If you have a request for a specific MAD, then please let me know.

GTH Immamura, why there are some cuts done by shida are just a conversation!!!
shida must working only in action cuts because he always animate few seconds in most of his works  -
Short and sweet, Shida managed to make one panel look so cool, I think he did a great job.
BTW, after re-watching the preview for #612 in HD, I don't think that's Yokoyama. It looks way better than that, could it be Atsuko Kawamura?
-
Who animated the Sanji vs. Vergo episode? If One Piece looked like that all the time I would watch it religiously.
-

If you mean 607, it was a two man job of Megumi Yamashita and Kazuya Hisada. It definitely is the best looking episode in the arc by far.
-
so, uh, just a quick question!! Who were the head directors for Movie 6 and Film Z? 6 looks a lot like Tate, but I'm not so sure. Speaking of Tate, what was the last episode he worked on? I feel like I haven't seen his style in a long time.
-
Animation directors for Movie 6 were Takaaki Yamashita, Chikashi Kubota, and Sushio. For Z the animation directors were Masayuki Sato (also the character designer), Tate, Takahiro Kagami, and Ryo Onishi.
The last One Piece episode that Tate did work on was 532. He hasn't been an animation director since 455, though he did some pieces of key animation during the Post-Marineford arc.

Murad jinxed it
Is 615 the one with the rape punch at the end? What can we expect from Isochi? Is he good?
-
Yeah, that was the one that was so hard that the puncher inexplicably switched punching arms mid-strike. Isochi's good, so I wouldn't be concerned at the moment.
Chapter 687 was voted worst of the year, so I guess it's fitting that its episode has the worst director on it. Good to see that it squeaked out with a good animation director though. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw Shimanuki's name and thought he was attached to that fight. Despite the fact that he's coming back so soon, I really hope his new episode isn't the pile of hot garbage his last one was.
