So I started watching this because someone said it was a really enjoyable show, and the scientist does awesome stuff (which generally means worth a check out).
I have to admit I like it, but then again I'm a sucker for most sci-fi tv series, which is why I still keep up with SGA despite the standards being almost non-existant at this point.
Anyone else watching?
! Personally, I dunno, despite Walter being an amazing actor, the show is really flawed in some ways.
For instance, Walter is in the psych prison for 17 years, and his lab partner who was with him (and no doubt owes many of his billions, if not all due to Walter's inventions) does not bother to come visit him despite knowing Walter is now on a government team that is cooperating with his company?
! I likePaceyin this because his character has potential, but no matter how I comprehend the potential of being the son of a mad scientist (especially after all the Captain America and Avengers Initiative I've read) I know how cool he can turn out.
Yet he's a mystery because he completely missed with a gun at close range when the growth hormone doctor ran away, but immobilized a large cameraman with his bare hands? Hinting he also has super perceptive abilities, possibly above average hearing and martial arts of sorts, also seems to not fear dangerous situations where killers are involved and just rushes in next to a trained FBI agent with a gun with his bare hands?
! I dunno, the science itself is cooky, but I like cooky science when they come up with interesting explanations. Besides I actually learn some biology/chemistry that I missed out on while sleeping during classes.
! Also the big corporation thing is really being overdone in these recent shows, but I guess it's understandable what with it being relatively true with globalization.
Also I think Bell is either a clone he cleverly named after his hero Alexander Graham Bell, or somehow Walter is the villain because he set forth a butterfly effect of events in the 70's knowing his experiments would come to fruition as he was released..
! But then he'd be a Lex Luthor style genius who can control the actions of people 20 years into the future, harder than mastering Go, but whatever who knows.
So, what are your thoughts?
