Oh I see, so your indirectly lying is somehow magically better than straight up lying.
Thanks for this lesson is slimy-ass ethics.
Indirectly lying? you make me ROFL very hard. That is to say, if you ask me if I have a girlfriend and I just say no (for example: because I could be already married) I would be lying?
Your ethics go way beyond the common reasoning. When you see a piece in dA, you comment it or you favourite it because of its looks. Not because it's original art or something.
The fact you rely on the information posted by the artist shows how weak your sense of art is.
Unfortunetly you a wrong.
The fact that you found it in a public place doesn
t mean anything O_o Some bustard just reposted it there from the artists blog or page. And what do you mean "pictures from google"?! O_o Do you think it
s like a STOCK PICTURES gallery? O_o I draw too and I know how that works - the way scetch was done is far from taking it to an art from scratch. Anyway, you should go and read rules on dA. You showed absolutely no respect to the original artist work, so if you dont write - I only did lineart and clours - in dA description I will report you there
Woah, a lot of writing in there for someone that has nothing to do with the person who made the original sKetch.
Mind you, the original idea belongs to Eichiro Oda, since Margaret is one of his newly designed characters.
I will quote myself from what I said in the previous post: that person made the sketch. You are right there. However, you don't know if that person made everything up or he just took a scan as a reference and then drew Margaret.
Given that situation you can't check if that's true no matter how hard you try because the artist is unknown, the fact of reporting would lead you to nowhere but to trouble.
I could always say I used the same scan he used as a reference and then you would be like O.o
Let's be frank. I do GFX and LPs for fun. I have a life behind all this and I'm not planning to earn my salary from anything related to graphics.
The fact I posted it here was because it was related to one piece and I thought it would be more appreciated here than anywhere else.
My surprise was to see that, in spite of getting comments about the piece itself, you started inquiring about the fact I made up that pose and whatnot.
First of all, get a life. If you don't have solid proof that this sketch idea is nowhere to be found but the mind of the artist who drew it, you should kindly shut up your mouth.
Secondly, I don't want to get in trouble because of a whim of yours and because you felt like being the hero of the unknown artist (for nothing, because I didn't say anywhere I made the sKetch).
So yeah, I'll edit my comment and add what you mentioned.
Now, you can be at ease. You've freed the world from the evil and you'll now be granted the title of world savior.
That taught me a lesson though. There are people who don't have a life and like fucking up other's lives.
It's funny all this shit happened, mainly because it's the first time I do something like that. The rest of pieces are made from scans which are free to use (because I paid for them).
From now on, I'll only post original artwork. That is to say, 100% drawn and 100% vectored by myself.
I hope my next thread gets constructive criticism from you and not a lot of ethical shit you felt like bringing up (without knowing the artist. I would understand all that if the artist was in dA and despite knowing that, I had ignored my duties).
Despite everything, I had some fun with all this. It's always interesting to debate about the "property rights" of a piece and whatnot.
Haha, oh wow. This thread made me laugh pretty hard.
You have quite the wicked sense of humour, my sir.
