Long story short: Maka and Black Star reach the moon, start wreaking things. No word on the witches yet.
Not bad for action chapter but I'm ready to move on with the story.

I'm just glad excalibur showed up. Now I'll be eternally happy if Maka wields her dad at one point in this arc, and if Maka's mom shows up before the series ends.
I just finished watching the anime. Or I assume it's the end at episode 51…Does the manga continue after that ending?

Technically…..no, the anime only follows the manga up to when Shibusen fights Arachnophobia for the first time, then it takes it own path.
I'm not exactly sure what volume this translates into, though. Also, keep in mind, the anime has some other minor differences from the manga.....I'd give one, but I don't want to spoil it.

Oh okay. Hm, is it still a good read? I didn't realize I'd like the show enough to marathon it for 3 days lol.

The manga's just as good as the anime, even more so. There's….currently 100 chapters out, I think?
On top of that, the mangaka even writes a spin-off manga called Soul Eater Not!…..which is great too. :)

Yay, you actually continued to watch it. Odd how fanservice kinda faded after a few episodes huh?
Like MetaMario stated, the manga is better (though the Anime is still very good on several different levels. A shame it had to go Full Metal Alchemist.)
The manga introduces a lot more interesting characters too and puts a twist on ONE of the characters (not spoiling it).

Haha yeah. I had taken two attempts to get past the Cat Witch fan service and the Creepy vibes Spirit gave off the first couple of episodes. Kid and Black Star were what kept me hooked and willing to try again.
I'm glad to hear the manga is good too. I may not read the spinoff cause I read that it had less action and different characters.

Well, I would recommend you read a good chunk of the main manga first, if you ever want to read the spin-off.
Soul Eater Not! takes place in the same universe (ex. Maka, Black Star, and Kim all appear), but yeah, it's less action-based and a little more humor-based. Still has a good cast, I think, even if I like the main manga more.
At any rate, I hope you enjoy either manga series.

Thanks for the advice! I think I'll pick it up this week soon. My brain needs a bit of a breather lol.
I watched the sub Meta.
There was that one article or story about bones working on a "familiar" title. Weather or not its a soul eater remake has yet to be seen.
I watched the sub Meta.
Oh, I was just asking out of curiosity, since I've watched the sub and dub and liked both.

Oh? It was good? I could have watched it on Netflix dubbed, but I typically will not watch anime dubbed first. I only heard the first couple of dubbed lines before I turned it off lol.

Vortex Scans are doing a fine, fine job on this series. Their releases are a month behind though, so if you care in the slightest about the speed scanlating, they are probably not a choice for you. Anyway, the wait is worth it, since they actually like and care about their series.
Chapter 101 was published yesterday.
Also, the raws for chapter 102 are out. Ohkubo still is a master of build up and panel lay out. After a three black spreads the last page literally hammers you in.
I had stopped reading that manga two years ago along the Noah arc and catched up last month. But I have to say, that i dont like how it is just non-stop fighting and lately just against the clowns. I really can understand, why many have stopped reading the manga. Its not bad, but just way too slow.
! So, of course the witches came in the end, that was expected. Gives it even more of a "final arc" feel. But why the hell do we have after Battle ON the moon 1-8, now Battle OF the moon 1-?? I just hope that the clowns will be disposed of swiftly and that we will move to more interesting fights.
! Edit:102 Spoiler
! Okay, the clowns were really all defeated. Thats good. But maybe it was a little bit too quickly, compared to how much shibusen first struggled against them. But I wont complain about that.
And silverblade was correct, the end was friggin awesome.
Lol, Im not planning to do the job of a fansub, I don´t even have a good grip of advanced engrish. Just wanted to help if the wait was too long for those who don´t have choices of another languages ^u^
Interesting spoilers, and if this is indeed some sort of final arc, then I´m gonna be really sad because Soul Eater has forever been on my top 3 (with OP and Toriko) ;A;
Nobody posted this yet? Chapter 102 is out

I almost shat my pants with the last page.
Great chapter but glad the endless clown fights are over. Love the team-ups. Gonna miss Skanky the Clown.
I started this the other day. Caught up today finally. I had only seen the anime so far, but I do like the plot differences. Death the Kid and Black Star are definitely a couple of my favorites. Kilik and his weapons, too cute. Ahh so many things I want to post but I'm soooo drowsey.

I haven't seen the anime myself but it deviates before Kid really starts getting character development. Starting with the Noah arc, Kid becomes just so goddamn amazing, while in the beginning (and I guess the anime by extension) he's pretty much a one-note character.

Yeah. The lines of Sanzu or however it's spelled don't show up as a plot point till like the last episode or something. I'm glad Kid gets some development in the manga. He seems to be pretty popular in the polls.
I'm sorta curious about the lines though. Since Death's mask keeps cracking when he gains a new one. If Kid gets all three, is that it for his dad? Are Shinigami like Highlanders? Can there be only one?
(Not gonna lie…I really wanted to see what Kid would look like in the lust chapter lol.)
Basically, same two Kishin can't coexist, two shinigami can't reign in a same world. If Kid enables the 3rd line Shinigami is done for.

That's sad…Does Kid know? Cause he either seems oblivious about that or he's handling that really well lol.
I remember Ebion, Table of Contents, Excalibur, Shinigami himself, the Kishin, but what are the other beings on this category, the "madness generators"?
Madness of Order, madness of knowledge, madness of power, madness of terror, what does that even mean?
Arent these the ones which the Kishin ate?

Isn't it just factors that can cause madness?
Isn't it just factors that can cause madness?
Yes, but the chapter that were presented the powerful beings were listed as their domains, or leaders, or something.
Table of Contents himself wasn't a great power; it was the tentacle blob thing that Kid met in the Book of Eibon. Noah represents the different forms of "Madness", although he's only on his second incarnation (Rage). We haven't seen an Envy Noah, a Pride Noah, etc., and we probably won't. This isn't FMA.

Would be funny if Gofer turned out to be the embodiment of Envy.

! So, I'm confused. Are Kishin and Crona working together, or has Crona already killed Kishin and absorbed him?
! I'm a bit confused too. But I figure that's okay because when dealing with madness, it's gonna get a bit wonky…Did those ants have human butts?

The way they're shaded makes me think they have certain female anatomy instead… it's a bit ambiguous. I guess they're just supposed to be generic mutant ants made from madness.
I really need to catch up. And you think I would have already, seeing as there's a month downtime between chapters. :I
I like Crona but I won't mind if Medusa comes back to become the final boss.
For all we know she could have fused with the black blood just like how Arachne fused with madness.

I'm actually fully expecting Medusa to be the final boss. She was never truly dealt with story-wise and her magic has a lot of awesome potential. Plus if she never ends up fighting the protagonists, it'll be Orochimaru's pathetic conclusion all over again.
Anyway, I'll just leave this here…
!
Happy Halloween folks.

AAAhhhhh! This is the amv that finally got me to watch Soul Eater lol. Love it!
That´s one of the best amv´s i´ve ever seen, totally got me into soul eater back then
New Chapter's out. Exactly what I thought happened at the end of last chapter happened this chapter, instead. I didn't really expect Kishin to be the final boss, anyway, since he had next to no development. Crona, on the other hand…
Kinda disappointing chapter.I'm expecting the Kishin to break out of Crona in the next 2 or 3 chapters too.No way that's all he's going to do in the entire manga.Didn't like Stein being pushed aside either, but I can bear that.Hope we get some action next month.
So Crona does have boobs.Btw the whole madness shit is stupid imo
It's kinda sad that I dropped this series for a little below a year, read this chapter and understood everything that is going on here. Did the pacing suffer that much?
There were ALOT of side arcs
I kinda of meant this arc. I dropped it as they was flying off to the moon. When I saw the clowns, they spelled "padding" right over my monitor in awful graffiti.
@Money:

Nah, that's his/her opposite shoulder. Look again.

Yeah more or less.

Yeah, the clowns served no real purpose except to waste time. Also, Stein killed Justin because at this point, he really had no purpose in the story anymore, either.
