I think who his mom is, is not important but why ppl don't respond to that is cuz for them Luffy's mom has to be someone uber cool and epic like a shichibukai or a yonkou or a revolutionary or a high ranking marine. Plus they don't want to go the extra mile and start speculating crazy crap for Makino.
I wouldn't mind if she was his mother, simple and nice.

Well there are just as many people who want her to not be uber cool and epic. And I don't think it requires that much speculation to just say that Dragon liked the simple, cute, nice, Makino. She at least seemed like she was a motherly figure to Luffy. The only thing that goes against it is that the way she was always talked to by Luffy and how Shanks told him not to trick her just didn't seem to indicate at all there was any relation. So if she was I think it'd have to be kind of hidden from him. I just want her to be simple or not show up at all. I wish Makino would of been named his mother at the beginning. She was cool in that simple kind of way.

so how old do you guys think Boa Hancock is? That is to all of your saying she is Luffy's or Lola's mom. Luffy is 17, maybe 18 by now. Add 9 months and you have 18 years at minimum then for how long ago she would have had Luffy.
And Lola is older than Lufy easily by looks. So then if Hancock had Luffy super young like when she was 16 or something then she is already 32. I personally don't think she is even that old, and I doubt he made it so she got knocked up by Dragon at 16, and let alone add another 3 years for Ace. So she would have to be 19 when she had Luffy and thus 35 years old.
She looks at most 30 to me, she looks younger than Robin in my eyes, and Robin is only 28.

For Heck's sake, I'm not even going to go into any detail then that. People have explained it enough times already that I shouldn't even be seeing this here.
This is why we have to have a "mythbusters" page on the wikia… People like this are responsible for a lot of those headaches on that page. And it all spawns from forums like this one.

Hancock really doesn't seem like a person who has had a baby before, regardless of her actual age. The clique is usually the little brother being immune to their sister's charms no matter how hot. I don't buy the theory either but sounds less dumb than Boa having a long lost baby.

Hancock isn't Luffy's mom, neither is she lola's mom. Lola said that her mother was a strong person but that doesn't mean she has to be boa hancock. She may just be an important villager that will help Luffy

Hancock is dumb selfish and arrogant. It's will be a shame for her to have a son like luffy. Luffy is good the complete opposite of hancock. His father "dragon" is also noble (at least Don't come with shit arguments here) and fight against the evil world government... Hancock doesn't fit to luffy she doesn't even deserve the chance to give birth to any child.
There is now absolute nothing that gives a hint about who luffys mom can be. Dadan you will say ?? Doesn't it sound like a male name? Luffy doesn't seems to know his father. He looked to surprise when Garp announced it. With all teh others joking about lola, Nami, etc... beeing luffys mother we can deduce that this thread is dead now.

But as far as we know dragon, he seems to be someone who is thinking before he acts, so he won't choose just a random girl to become the mother of his children. As I can't make a prediction who luffy's mom is, all I bet is that luffy's mom will be beautiful. But I am sure that boa will not be luffys mom. Just because she would have recognized!

i hav no idea who she could be, i always had an inkling that maybe she died as a result of the government, which i think would hav been the trigger for dragon to become a revolutionary, so in short i think she died a long time ago,
it would explain why garp raised him, because his son is on the run and the mother died leaving luffy in his care. but this probably belongs in the theories section
