If Goku really dies it means one thing… Gohan is making a comeback. We know that Vegeta will never beat the main villian so it is time for Super Ultimate Blue Gohan.
Namek's Dragon Balls are still a thing, right?

Honestly, what do suppose the under over is on that happening?
I'm really looking forward to those slice of life episodes before the new arc - Goku vs. Arale seems like it's going to be great (especially since the full title's already pretty ridiculous), and I can't wait to see how the baseball episode turns out.
I wish they'd just do fun fillers for months. The anime was often at its strongest when doing random silly one-off episodes focusing on slice of life stuff rather than awkwardly fillering in the long battles.
Can't wait for the "Champa's Baseball League" arc next
Tell me Yamcha is gonna be their ace player. Or their coach. Or something.
Please.
Tell me Yamcha is gonna be their ace player. Or their coach. Or something.
Please.
He's going to be eliminated first thing in the match.
Tradition is tradition.
Any Dragon Ball baseball team had better include Chiaotzu and Krillin if only for strike zone shenanigans.
I hope there's an episode where Goku and Piccolo need to get their driver's licenses renewed

MasakoX did a video on it and it shoes Yamcha in the V-Jump that announced it

Yeah, I mean, I saw Yamcha in his baseball outfit, and that's why I thought it'd be kinda cool if they used him somehow
"Hey, Yamcha, you were a professional baseball player once, right?" - "Yeah, I was. You need my hel" -"NO, we don't need your help; we were just asking. You can go now, your 10 seconds of screen time have just expired. Goku! Vegeta! Do your thing!".
and that's why I thought it'd be kinda cool if they used him
NO, nononono. That would not be cool, nope. No no no.
The way Goku currently is, I dont see him beating Hit, despite the powerup he got in the Mirai Trunks Arc.
rubs forehead So let me see if I'm parsing this ending correctly.
! So Trunks and Mai are put in a new, preexisting world/timeline that's just like the one they hailed from only without Zamasu and Black messing things up. Meanwhile, everyone and everything he was fighting to save, all the survivors of his own future and members of the resistance that helped him, however slightly, are all dead. And there are probably versions of him and Mai in that timeline too, so there are currently three of each running around the multiverse.
Was Toriyama reading Jojo in his spare time or something, 'cause what the fuck?

! Does Trunks end up at a Florida gas station crying into Alternate Bulma's shirt?
! Goku: "sorry Trunks-kun, I fucked up forgetting the seal for the Mafuba which was the only effective method to defeat this bastard and then causing all your beloved ones and their souls to be erased out of existence. no no you can't stay here, have a nice life in yet another alternate timeline"

Yeah. I actually like the daily life stuff more than the actual "serious" arcs. I'd take Super as a comedy series of that more than what we have now.
I'm honestly sad that they didn't stick around because fuck it why not
So basically it's Shoetime for Yamcha after all these years:ninja:?
Yamcha finally plugged that Nike sponsorship

! This endding remainded me of DC Convergence's ending. With Lois and Superman going to live to another universe.
Finally Trunks is gone. Episode was still not good.
But Zeno is cute but a psycho as well. And now we have 2 of them.
Gohan got his bang back just to lose it next episode
More important. What is wrong with Pan in the preview?
! I laughed so hard once I started to realize what Goku was doing with Zeno. I wish they gave Trunks at least a conversation with his younger self in this episode, but now he's gone so that's done. He did have a moment with Goten of all people though, however brief it was. The Gohan moment at the end was a nice touch, but again one of those things I would have liked to see more in this arc other than that one episode of Trunks going to their house. They really are rushing through a bunch of material they could stretch out.
! This is how I'd like to imagine Trunks and Mai spend their day once they get "home"
!
I'm not a fan of that ending. Mainly because I don't see what the point was. Like, If Trunks and Mai were going to leave the main cast anyway and go to the future anyway why not just keep their comrades alive. Why (and how for that matter) did Zamasu become a big cloud monster that suddenly could blow up the whole world in one bang. Not to mention the people they fought with in this new timeline (that Whis is just creating because… why? Isn't this illegal?) won't recognize them because Black never showed up there and caused them to all band together. Not to mention there are now two Trunks and Mai's because of course there would be. But that is just weird. It reminds me of Awakening where Lucina as an adult exists in the same universe as her child self now. Except Trunks is existing in a universe with a form of him that is weaker and about a year younger at best. Mai as well.
So I ask again, why did that whole convoluted segment happen? The only reason I see this happening is just to show of Zen-o and how he can erase everything and anything in existence. And to set up the joke (btw there are now two Omni gods in the main universe. How the fuck is that gonna work? Can they erase each other?). This ending left a real sour taste in my mouth which is a shame because it was such a good arc. If Trunks and Mai were not gonna stay with the cast (which they should've btw) then at least explain how he joins the Time Patrol in Heroes and Online. That could've been nice seeing as Online is meant to be canon still I believe. That could've allowed him to also hang around as we saw so much growth in him just to have him never appear again (because what reason does he have to break the law and come back in time again? To have a meal at Gohans?).
On the topic of Gohan (sorry for the long post) I would've rather Trunks and Mini-Trunks had a proper farewell than Gohan and Trunks. Mainly because Gohan and Trunks didn't really do anything this arc outside the one episode whereas the two Trunks' had a whole character arc together. A final closing to that would've been nice rather than Trunks crying because he couldn't save everyone back in Cell again (dude it was forever ago and against Zamasu you actually did save everyone until the writers decided you didn't).
/endrant
So these so called omni kings are only universal.
This was dumb. Just incredibly dumb. It would just have made so much more sense if Zamazu died from being cut in two, then the future timeline would be saved and everybody would happily ever after. Maybe it's a bit predictable, but at the very least the plot would serve its purpose. What was the point in setting a fight in a future to save the world there, if it gets destroyed anyway? None of the stakes actually mattered because Trunks could have gone to an earlier point in said timeline this whole time. So the conflict and the arc itself was inevitably completely pointless.
Oh well, at the very least the arc is over.

Not to mention the fact that Present Gohan and Trunks never really had a noticeable relationship.
So, apparently, this whole arc where they fought to save the future Trunks's timeline was just pointless!
If it is going to get destroyed anyway, why didn't Trunks just stay in the current timeline from the beginning of the arc, the world was already almost completely destroyed.
And why did they feel the need to create a new timeline? Future Trunks should have stayed with the people he fought with, who also know about Zamasu, instead of his one year younger self who isn't aware of the Goku Black shenanigans.
I didn't have any problem with this arc so far, well, at least before this episode, which is the finale.
this episode
Zamasu looked a lot like Giygas.
I had some Sailor Moon main villain flashbacks, especially the grin
And you can say what you want, the Gohan Trunks scene was incredible powerful. The episode was rushed as hell and mainly stupid, but in this scene Ninja Lila appeared and cutted onions with lightspeed…
This was dumb. Just incredibly dumb. It would just have made so much more sense if Zamazu died from being cut in two
Well minus the fact that one of two guys who got cut in half is supposed to be immortal.
Yamcha finally plugged that Nike sponsorship
Damn Nike must've gotten desperate.
Well minus the fact that one of two guys who got cut in half is supposed to be immortal.
The writers could have had Trunks destroying the Time Ring, which would remove the timelines where Zamasu continued to exist. Just throw in a flashback to Beerus erasing him after showing the Ring being cut.
Well minus the fact that one of two guys who got cut in half is supposed to be immortal.
They still could have had Zen-O show up to kill Zamasu. They could have had Trunks' attack kill Black (who was the one who was harassing him for so long anyway and not immortal Zamasu) but Zamasu reforms because he is immortal. He kicks Goku and Vegeta down and starts fighting Trunks. Goku summons Zeno-O and have Zamasu's cockiness, rage, and other emotions attack Zen-O and Zamasu promptly gets erased from the timeline.
I also want to point out that it wasn't made clear if Zen-O wiped out literally every universe with his attack or just Universe 7. Because if it is the latter then Goku just arrived and stole their King of Everything.

It always comes back to confusing time shenanigans huh?

Didn't people complain the prospect of that being predictable?
Latest Manga Chapter is out.

So Goku getting dizzy inside the time machine, and never kissing Chichi are canon, but him forgetting the senzus, Resistance Army were stuff Toei added
wow goku black looks more badass in the manga
I wish I never saw this episode. "we gotta save our timeline/universe" "oh it got destroyed lets just go to a new one that nobody will have any actual bonds with us in because they live alongside OTHER Trunks/Mai" Seriously Future Trunks at least has more of connection to the main canon timeline universe than one he has NEVER been to before… you know what with saving Goku's life and training with/fighting alongside the whole gang against Cyborg17/18 and Cell...
Honestly I hate to just be complaining but this episode literally made this entire arc pointless.
So, not that I follow Dragon Ball Super that closely, but, from what I understand, the Black Goku ended like this?
The upcoming Arale episode sounds kinda fun
The episode will center on an event called the "World Invention Award," which honors the best innovations in the world. The greatest scientists, including Bulma, gather for the ceremony. Goku is working part-time as a security guard in the event, and Satan is presenting the award. The award goes to Senbei Norimaki of Penguin Town. As Norimaki is presenting his invention, Dr. Mashirito attacks. Frustrated that he was not invited to the ceremony, he interrupts the proceedings, and for some reason Arale and Gatchan are at his side.
So, not that I follow Dragon Ball Super that closely, but, from what I understand, the Black Goku ended like this?
Pretty much exactly like that, only that rather than the world Trunks leaving behind being merely unrecognisably messed up, in this case his old world flat-out doesn't exist anymore. The King of All literally just destroyed the entire multiverse in that timeline.
So yeah. Way to make the entire arc meaningless. I mean, what even was the point of all that? To show that no matter how hard you try life will find a way to screw you over anyway? You know, until last week I thought this arc was the highlight of Dragon Ball Super, but now… fuck this piece of shit depressing pointless story.
This arc did confirm that the only way to kill Yajirobe is to kill everybody though.
This arc did confirm that the only way to kill Yajirobe is to kill everybody though.
Yajirobe is cool. The ultimate slacker.
Wait, so everyone just dies like that?! Why did Zamasu have to come back after being slashed? Why did all of Trunks' efforts have to be in vain? Don't tell me Trunks got kicked in the nuts just for the King of All to show up and for Goku to have him be friends with himself. If so, then it wasn't worth screwing Trunks over for it. Honestly, this was a very sour ending to a really good arc. I'm just gonna believe that Trunks slashed Zamasu in half and beat him and that was it.
At least the break episodes sound promising.
We've reached the point in Dragon Ball continuity where Goku is working odd jobs. And I couldn't love it any more.
@The:

Im holding out hope that it is a setup for some later important fact about fighting and killing gods.
My theory is hole ridden and shaky at best, but if you think about it, merged Zamasu was strong enough to require Goku and Vegeta to merge. As I recall Whis stated that if Vegeta and Goku work together they might beat Beerus. This implies that Merged Zamasu was at least near Beerus' level. If that implication is true then it would mean that we already have a fighter that is in the league of a god of destruction. It's a ten minute time length fighter, but a fighter non the less. Kinda puts Beerus in a less important light if there is a mortal fighter that is close to him, so I am hoping that maybe there is more to killing a God than that.
Like a said it is a bad theory because both Northern Kai and the Supreme Kai of the Future have both died normal deaths under comparatively normal circumstances, but maybe after a certain level of power as a god it opens up new options.
