For those who play Rpgs i'd like to ask what are your favorites and why i'm looking for new ones to play
i love the BOF series i also like the Suikoden series and Xenogears
can any one recomend Rpgs that i may like

I can recommend Tales of Symphonia if you have a GC and Fable if you have an Xbox.

I pretty much liked the BoF series as well. I also liked FFTA, FFX and some people do consider Zelda partly an RPG so thats my most favorite.

FF: final fantasy

I don't play rpg's that often anymore, though I recently was playing Golden Sun.

I lurve Suikoden, Lufia, Earthbound, .hack, the One Piece RPG's, and most of all… Final Fantasy.

Crap I forgot .hack! Earthbound may be a little hard to find (unless you get it from Japan).

Final Fantasy series, specifically VII-X (I've only played VI and V for a very short time). Chrono Trigger is good. I'm waiting until summer to start all the other RPGs I've got hidden away (Xenogears, Star Ocean, etc).

A series that amazingly hasn't been mentioned yet is the highly underrated Wild ARMs Series. I personally find the series better than Final Fantasy.

And then there's Lunar, possibly the only RPG series I truly consider a classic, despite having only two games to it's name. A definite must play.

Wow, Wild ARMs. I think the first two games were great but I never was able to get into the other ones. Haha, I remember in the first game the (opening) credits started rolling after a few hours of gameplay during the funeral, I thought the damn game was over already! :lol:

I think I've played just about every RPG series there is, I really had no life as a child. My favourites are probably the early DQs, Final Fantasy's, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound and Terranigma (wayyy underrated!). I like SaGa Frontier a lot too…Lufia, Lunar, Grandia, Star Ocean series, Romancing Sa-Ga, Tales of Destiny/Phantasia/Symphonia, Arc the Lad, Breath of Fire, Genso Suikoden, Seiken Densetsu (Secret of Mana), Tactics Ogre, Valkyrie Profile, Vagrant Story….... Zelda? That's more action adventure I guess.

Those are just some of the console RPGs I've played and enjoyed. I bolded a couple... so pick one and try it out I guess :wacko:

I have never played an RPG I havn't liked but my favorite series is the Final Fantasy series. I feel like going home right now and playing FFII.

my favorite rpgs are:

1)ffVII it's maybe the best game ever with secret of mana. i have everything in this game and i have so much gils that the number goes out of the defined emplacement!

2)secret of mana. wow, it made my days magic when i was a kid

3)wonder in monsterland. :blink: i don't think anybody know this game, it was on megadrive and it's the first rpg i played ever. it was so damnd good but it was in english and i didn't understand a single word about what was going on so i spent a lot of my parents money on the sega hotline B)

Either Kingdom Hearts or Mario and Luigi: SuperStar saga.

They're RPG esque… <_<

I didn't like Dragon Quarter (the only other BoF game I've played). The battle system annoyed me to no end <_< .

For the ps2 mine would be Kindom Hearts. :)

The Dragon Warrior games for the NES were all pretty sweet. Though I think my single longest RPG streak on a game was for the Super Mario RPG. Me and a friend played it for literally three days straight.

Nippon Icchi are the only good ones ya know.

I personally liked BOF III and IV. Haven't played I or V, don't have a strong opinion on II.

I've played Final Fantasy 1-2, 4-10, X-2, Tactics/Advance, and Kingdom Hearts. My favorite out of those is probably either IX or VI.

Other series I've enjoyed are Suikoden and Wild ARMs.

But, the ones that "take the cake" for me are Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. Excellent games, both.

Edit: SHITFUCK!! I forgot Super Mario RPG. How the bloody hell did I manage THAT?

How is it the worst :huh: ? It's not the best, but it definately isn't the worst…

I would of said the Kunio series but acording to everyone, it carnt be classed as an RPG so i would have to say Final Fantasy IX, I loved the story, the charecters, also the citys and areas made me feel totaly involed in the Game, I could live in Treno (Dark City) and Alexandria felt homely for some reson. Heaven for me is Final Fantasy IX with me and my friends/family as the charecters. Wow, im crazy ^.@

i love the suikoden series best, especially the 2nd part, becoz of the story, the runes, and there are a hell lot of characters in the games. the 4th game is an utter dissapointment, tho.

wild arms series are great too, i particularly like the 2nd one. legend of dragoon is also superb. legend of legaia, both, has very original battle system and other features imo which makes it a game worth to play.

other games ive enjoyed playing is bof 3, chrono cross, kingdom hearts, and final fantasy x (just becoz of lulu xP )

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars [hee…princess Peach fighting with a frying pan...]
Kingdom Hearts [excellently merges the Disney world with the Final Fantasy world to make a very enjoyable RPG…not to mention the Ursula boss battle...wow]
Final Fantasy VII [waaay too overrated, but still a good game]
Chrono Cross [so many characters, so little time…]
Shadow Hearts: Covenant [has a wonderful blend of humor, drama, and action, not to mention the hottest characters I've ever seen..mmm Karin and Yuri…]

Dragon Quest III, remade for Super Famicom. (It was released in the US on the gbc later on, as Dragon Warrior III). The single longest RPG ever made, even xenosaga pales in comparison. o.o
It's like having four RPGs in one. :D

Final fantasy 4-10. The best ones are VI, VII and IX. Damn good stories, damn good characters.

Grandia I and II. GREAT battle system, great stories, and scenes you're not likely to forget. Both had me spellbound.

Kingdom hearts. Nostalgia, crystalized.

And for the GBA…Golden sun 1 and 2 are pretty decent.

AVOID: Vagrant story. Biggest disapointment I've ever experienced.

I liked BoF 4, and I frankly got a Playstation so I could play FF6 without paying collector's prices for the SNES cartridge. :P

For the computer, the angband games (zangband, for example– probably 20 different ones exist) are extra addictive for games with zero inherent plot

Man, I love you so much! FFIX is the best game ever! I know what you mean, man. I would kill to live in Lindblum. Or even visit. Everything in that game is so beautiful

Other good games;
Shadow Hearts Series; If you love the supernatural, you will die and go to heaven when you play it
Grandia: SO amazing. Its a bit kiddy, but the characters are just so lovable
Star Ocean Second Story; Being able to recruit different characters each time you play gives it lots of replay value, plus it just rocks!
Lunar Series; They're the definition of an RPG
Suikoden 3; I've only played 1, 3, and 4, but this was the only one I liked. Its pretty easy until the end, but the story is amazing.
Disgaeia; Funniest game you will ever play.

I loved the Tales Games of Namco:
Tales of Phantasia (havnt played)
Tales of Destiny (played it)
Tales of Eternia (played with sis)
Tales of Symphonia(havnt played but maybe its good)

The FF series are also good but I didnt bother to play coz I didnt like the fighting style that you have to wait and slash enemies.

Chrono Cross is also One of my favorite PS games..Music is beautiful, Nice graphics, Wonderful story and Characters, Art is Excellent…Nobuteru Yuki is so GOOD!!!

For the PS2: My favorite RPG would be kingdom hearts...its really fun, although some people thinks its corny etc..., but I has a good story. And most of all I love the fighting style..its similar to Devil May Cry...that you can manipulate your character and move him wherever you want not like the FF games wherein you must wait and slash and wait and cast spells.

Absolutely the Best RPG for me is Final Fantasy series and Kingdom Hearts!!!
Especially FF8, FFX!!! and i can also say FF-X2 (because of Tidus & Syuin) and FF9.

Final Fantasy 8 and 10 are the Best!!! A great plot and so pretty, funny, Gorgeous characters!!! Squall and Tidus absolutely are the Best and the hottest main characters that i have ever see in games!!!! Also Zell from FF8 is my favorite!!!
It's a bit sad that Squall doesn't have voice but Tidus' game was sooooo real ne!!!

As for the Kingdom Hearts it was pretty good!!! Sora (the main character) and Riku (his best friend) was pretty good and also it was very nice that disney and squaresoft did a game like this!!! The graphics was more near to Disney's than the fantastic of squaresoft but the whole story was very good!!!
Also you can see characters from Final Fantasy there and also the seiyuu voices was absolutely fantastic!!!

You must try these!!! :D
oh yeah and it's on Playstation 2
