That stuff is stupid art, not blatantly terrible artwork. I chose that because the artwork itself is god awful and doesn't look like it belongs in a professional manga. The things you pointed out are stupid things and in some cases somewhat bad, but they at least don't look like he drew it in a minute and didn't try at all
@youngjustice: Darui has all the substance, character development, and personality of a cardboard box. His attack was cool, but thats about it. Also as an example of how it isn't well thought out, its a war against zombies and a million clones. Two of the zombies were called the shining stars of the cloud village in one chapter and then we found out they are the cloud villages two most hated criminals in the next few. And the whole Kakashi is going to go berserk, then cut to something else entirely like Kishi couldn't figure out what to do in the Kakashi fight so just gave up and shifted focus

They only seem to be random characters with random powers. They are indeed badass, original and another proof of Oda's amazing creativity but that's it.

Darui is a laidback dude. He isn't the one to get excited about much. He remains me of Kakashi, laidback, but gets serious when its fighting time. Laidback is a personality. That's just a name for them too. Oro was also called the genius of the leaf by people. They are respected because they are strong. What does him cutting away from a battle in a large war make the war not planned out? Ur did this in Sasuke retrieve arc too. He would cut away from fights for a few chaps.

@sanji499 I disagree Oda is trying to create the sense of a large world and introducing the other cookies accomplish that. Kids and Law will be the main focused ones through. Not everyone in the world should have a relation with the stawhats. This can happen later because Kidd seems to not care about who he kills. Also not everyone will get has much character development has the stawhats because they are the main characters. Even brook doesn't get that much and he is part of the crew. People like the superiors because they are beastly lol.

I agree. So far the supernovas are not ruining One Piece at all. Oda knows what he is doing. I am just being critical toward the fangirls or fans that like a character that is not that great.

I dont see the passion in kishi anymore and frankly I dont think kishi want to spend too much time thinking of a coherent arc and how to improve the series, rather he just want to extend this sinking boat of a series as long as possible.
All in all, the difference between kishimoto now and kishimoto then is that now he is using the series as a cash cow than really a passionate story he created himself. It is sad when mangaka's do this to themselves, but alas such is the nature of greed :ninja:.
Kishi was not a bad writer, infact part 1 was started well, but then all of a sudden the series just went down and down further through the hole. I can't help but think kishi stopped caring about the series is shippuden and thats why series went down :ninja:.

I wouldn't say Kishi's mooching off of it at this point. He's just simply tired of writing it, so he's not really putting much effort in it. Mooching would be if he suddenly brought out a villian out of nowhere after this arc happens to continue the manga for another 10 years with minimal effort.

That's because Dragonball is loosely based off Journey to the West, where the whole "get sucked into a gourd" thing came from. In it, Son Goku the Monkey King got sucked into the gourd with Hakkai, Sanzu, and Gojyo by the brothers Ginkaku and Kinkaku. However, they managed to escape.

There's inspiration. Borrowing names, or concepts for abilities, drawing upon many classical resources for reference and enhancing the world. This especially applies when it comes to architecture and clothing design.
And then there's outright theft, just taking an idea or design completely as is and using it without adding anything new to it or having it make sense within your own universe, or in fact, downright contradicting what you've established in the past.

Akoiji was an iceman before being an admiral.
There weren't any magic items in naruto, other than samehada, who turned out to be a monster, Zabuza's sword was revealed as magic recently, and Asuma's hand-kunais that were suposed to be an special material that works that way, now there are swords and random shit that's magic. How?

i agree but i think the problem is that its one of those "seen that" type of situations and possibly characters from other manga and series have done this before…. now the real question is who can do it right and/or better.

Totally agree, I also feel that the story is artificially extended and that he is throwing as stuff as possible.
I think the moment I started having some serious doubt about the series when Sai was introduced. He only seems to be here for the Yaoi and the fangirls.
Through the art, you can tell if the mangaka cares or not.
The descent to fisherman island had some of the best scenery in One Piece. You could tell that the 4 weeks breaks helped Oda a lot. In Naruto, the art got worse and you feel he does not care anymore. -

Appearantly they are able to use nine tails chakra becuase they ate the nine tails meat while stuck inside of it. Still makes no sense though.
Also, Ino looks exactly like Deidara in this chapter. Nothing new, but still.Also, tenten is there I guess. And the ending to the fight seems like a stupid asspull to me
