hey I just watched the italian version of this episode. Man the acting is absolutely TERRIBLE… TERRIBLE!...
what was funny though was for the Knock UP Stream they just played the beginning of the We Are until "One Piece", then looped it. It was weird... you could BARELY hear the singing as well... craziness.

I think he sung one of the Yuyu Hakusho endings. It'll be nice if it's true. The voice he used sounded like Shinichi (Jimmy) from Detective Conan, but I can't imagine that voice singing "We Are!"
Edit: Here's the YYH ending sung by Jerry I was talking about. I sort of can imagine him singing "We Are!" now.

I still need to read through that whole shit hole of a discussion that was episode 151. I had to leave for a school trip on like, Monday, so I missed the cake.
But there is always leftovers.
So I finally get around to watching a funimation version of the dub to give it a chance, as i did with the 4kids version…. I have no idea what the hype is about BTW. I find alot of the voices still bad. I agree they have improved, but alot of them don't really fit the characters...

So, am I being harsh? No, I don't think I am.. I think alot of the people here are just happy that 4kids has lost the licence and don't realize that this isn't much of an improvement.. I saw the episode with the Saruyama Alliance battle, and they cut out alot of my favorite scenes... Like that punch where Shoujo's stomach is stretched... So they're still doing useless edits.. And like 4kids, I will never watch another episode of this dub again.. All dubs are the same 'B-A-D'. I'll stick with my subs where they aren't afraid to display some light blood and can hire voice actors who I can tolerate.
I don't post this to put down anyones likes of the dub, I was just dissapointed after all the hype it received, and if I somehow in someway offended someone, I apologize, but what I said is true, and you can probably see it the same way if you tried too see it.

Mayumi Tanaka - Luffy and Kuririn
Takeshi Aono - Mihawk, Piccolo, Kami and Murasaki
Masako Nozawa - Doctor Kureha and Goku
Shigeru Chiba - Buggy, Pilaf, Raditz
And those were just the ones I could find right now. Honestly, the fact that Usopp sounds like Kuririn is no reason to complain.
Also, "What I said is true" is an extremely stupid way to say it. You make it sound as if personal opinions don't exist. And comparing 4Kids to FUNi just doesn't work. CN is just too retarded to let FUNi show all that stuff. What I find wierd is that they said "No drinking", yet even Disney show that in their movies occasionally. (Proof: There was a scene in the new Disney Pixar-movie, Rattatoille, where one of the main characters got drunk.) And notice also how the script is practically identical to the japanese version, only with a few changes to match the lip-flaps, or because CN didn't let them use those lines. Plus, they've kept the original music, and the DVDs will be completely uncut, with both english and japanese voices. I'll agree that it's not perfect, and that they could do a lot better, (Ideally, I'd want the dub to be like the Naruto-dub. Hardly any edits at all) but half of the problems are CN's fault anyway, and there's still the DVDs.

! We finally get to hear We Are! in English (besides the 4Kids one which was only showed once and wasn't really all that close to the original). Hopefully Funi will have a more accurate translation. Do they reach Skypiea in this episode or is that next episode?

Yeah, all dubs are not bad. Lets see: Yu Yu Hakusho (couldn't stand original), Rurouni Kenshin ( the only thing I didn't like is that they didn't keep "oro"), Cowboy Bebop (self explanatory), Samurai Champloo (same as CB), etc, etc. And personally I hate having to read subtitles, but I guess it's all a matter of opinion.
Okay, some people are missing my point.. When I stated 'All dubs are bad', that obviously refers to the dubs I have seen, and I can assume all the others will fall in the same fate. Now, this can easily be founded if you think about it.. The original work will always always be better than a rip-off version.
Vegard Aune, using a OP-DB comparison means nothing to me, because I hadn't watched the original DB in subbed form, as I was still a child when those were being released. If you referred to my nickname to base your comparison, I'll let you know its an old name, and I truly dislike DB as a whole. It had its moments, and I respect it for entertainment during childhood, but nothing more than that. Its story is rather bland and repetitive unfortunately.

To anyone else who says Cowboy Bebop dubs, etc. are good. I will simply have to take your word for it.. I dislike dubs because I am extremely picky, and once I am exposed to 'the original' I have extremely high standards.. I will take a look at Cowboy someday, but other than that there isn't much i can say. As for Samurai Champloo… I hate that anime with a passion, story about a sunflower man? Give me a break.. they could have cut out 15 of those episodes to get to the point, It was terrible, and Yu Yu Haku was just as bad.. HXH was clearly his better work in that department.. (Never got around to Kenshin, perhaps someday).

Rushed or not, I'll still be happy to hear it playing behind the Knock Up Stream.
And when this manga closes out, and Luffy's arm stretches back to deliver that last punch, I wanna feel the crunch of the dream coming true.
Really anxious for this one, the knock up stream is one of my favorite scenes of all time, I'm really hoping they pull off We Are and the mood of the scene well.
