I enjoyed the dub. I caught some jokes that were changed, but obviously because they don't work well in English.
I like that they did the songs in English. It actually feels like a complete dub. -
I wasn't planning to watch it, but I turned it on about 10 minutes in after a friend reminded me.
I'm actually very impressed. Now I'll have to watch next week just to see Buggy..

What the hell are you talking about? One Piece has had previews from episode 1. I believe Kaizoku just cuts them out.

This place is going to get bombarded.
Opening theme was done fantastically well, but I couldn't help but picture Ed Elric picturing it.
I was actually shocked by Eric Vale. I'm so used to his roles in Dragonball and Blue Gender that I thought he couldn't really deepen his voice, but he did it. I thought it was the perfect tough and mature voice for Sanji.
Instead of Usopp sounding like Krillin, to me he actually sounded like the original Japnese voice actor. He did Usopp's different tones perfectly. Loved his work.
I'm glad Chopper has his tiny voice in big mode.
I love Masira's voice. I thought it would be some big, doofy voice, but it was very fitting.
Loved hearing all the original music again, and I can't wait to see more. Next episode is going to be even better. We got Buggy, Ace, Whitebeard, Alvida, Mohji, and Cahbaji!!!

I haven't even seen the dub yet, and am going purely based off of the reviews of others here at AP. But I believe this is what alot of us are thinking of the FUNi One Piece crew.

I gotta admit, my heart jumped during Hikari e. AND the episode preview. Ahhh and hearing the original music was great!! AND they pronounced Masira's name correctly! He got a pretty kickass voice as well.
I like the new VA's a lot. I'm happy the show got a good dub. : )

Every assumption I had was correct.
Luffy and Zoro are barely tolerable. Everybody else was great. Kinda upset that Chopper's grown up voice isn't deep but other than that it was wonderful.
Hearing the opening in English was incredible. And I don't even like that particular opening that much.

Omg, the dialogue was so witty and funny. And I was so excited when I heard the "next episode previews" background music that they kept!!

"Huge Clap" That was very good, I like that. No cheesy dialouges, no gun coloring, no pointless edits, no talking in silance areas, there are metions of deaths and kills. The dub is honest and pure, I give it 10/10 stars. Now I'am looking forward for another episodes and finally I hope the ratings starts to recover from the rotteness of 4kids.
Finally I will hear no more yelling and screaming of haterd from now on.

I'm perfectly calm, i'm just telling you to quit saying everything negative about it. I think all of the actors did an awesome job for the first episode they dubbed.

Funi wins! Opening song, ending song, and the preview. The voices were great and the pistols weren't green! Not to mention the lollypop (or lack of)!
Next week will be even better!

Nice. It only took 144 episodes. With entire scenes and episodes cut. But we have the dub we've been waiting for.

Its sad, i saw the credits and Hikari E was renamed towards the light! But over all it was still awesome, the only thing thats going to bug me is the Golden logo

We are calm…but you need to be too. It's ok if you don't like the voices but you don't have to yell it out and get all pissy fanboy about it. It's getting kind of annoying still seeing someone complaining and yelling about the dub. But if you're getting used to it...that's good. Just take it easy, alright?

Sorry, it's just that people say "OH YAY NEW DUB WE'RE SAVED!" then some person comes along and starts complaining about some little thing that was done pretty good. Gets on my frickin' nerves.

This was well made, I totally love the girl doing Robin, she sounds great, Sanji sounds like how I was expecting him to sound a little bit like Trunks but its awesome. This is great, the intro, the ending and the next episode preview makes for great WIN, and then I also caught the jokes and I like how they MADE sense, and there wasnt any unnecessary puns. I look forward to watching this every saturday now. claps Great job Funi.

It'll take while to get used to hearing english lyrics for Hikari E but I've never heard Free Will before and it sounded great. This new dub gets an A for just hearing the original background music alone. Shitty commercials aside I'm glad CN kept the intro, ending and preview.

I thought it was a great start! The voices are all different, so I'll have to get used to em' but they were miles away from the 4Kids ones. Sanji's was a little odd, it kept changing around so much… Colleen's "I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!" at the end was awesome! I'm looking forward to next Saturday already. Show us how much One Piece has improved, FUNimation!

I love this dub. What was nice about this particular ep was that Robin talked a lot, so we got to hear what her new voice was like. It's a shame Sanji only had a few lines, but what I did hear was good.
That opening… was godly. I think I might like it more than the original.

Wow…all i can say...funimation truly did a spectacular job, and the best is yet to come. I'm really lookin forward to their skypiea episodes...though that'll be a few months from now.

Epic dub is epic. Awesome, fantastic, amazing, glorious, perfect, this is One Piece. The opening is awesome, the voices are awesome, the ending is awesome, the preview is awesome, everything is awesome.
