Apparently he is a big deal and stuff
Or if you mean the other then yes Whitebeard because they were getting ready to execute Ace and expected WB to attack. Hence why they couldn't take on Rayleigh at that time the cost of man power lost would be too great.

Though so.
I already know Rayleigh was one of the legend that Garp was talking about. I was asking about the other one.
Zoro's highest bounty so far is 120,000,000 beri, right? 'cause some site is saying it's 160,000,000. Someone confirm this, I'm going mad! D:
It's 120 million. The 160 million was from a Jump error that was corrected in volume 62.
Here's a question that probably DOES deserve it's own thread..
WHO IS COMING TO THIS WITH ME?!

Do you live in Japan? There are several others on these forums who do, but I wouldn't know who (besides our official translators).
Btw, do you have more info on that Premier Summer Event?
Edit: There IS a thread for it. http://www.apforums.net/showthread.php?t=33170&p=2275253
Where the Hell the name "beka" came from?
And what does it means?
Bekadidact, a member here.
sigh
I know that guy. I though he use the name Beka because that was an already popular name for Moriah, before. Not coming from him.
Is there anywhere to read all the cover stories of one piece???
One Piece Wikia.
Anyone else think the ancient weapon Poseidon may actually lie around Fishman Island. (You know, the one introduced in Skypea; for those with vague memories)
possible, there are 2 poneglyph in a give location.
Nothing has been hinted at it though as i think. Although we still don't know what poseidon actually is, it's kind of a random guess.
It does makes sense cause we're at the bottom of the sea and the weapon's name is Poseidon. I'm actually hoping that after Pluton (Hades), we'll get at least 2 more weapons.
Currently we have the Sea (Poseidon/Neptune), Underworld (Pluton/Hades); so wouldn't be too far-fetched to hope for the Sky (Zeus/Jupiter/Odin?) and Earth (Terra? Gaia?)
Not saying it's impossible it's there, it's just that the Straw hats seem in an unfair advantage at that.
Since Robin knows the location of Poseidon already, unless Roger moved/destroyed it that is.
Well, if my memory serves me. Robin also knows the location of Pluton back in Arabasta. So she knows the location of 2 already now. Damn the girl is on fire
Totally agree, Robin is damn hot.
I am fairly new here, so I am not sure if this was spoken about before. I brought this topic up because I felt that Law would be a very interesting character. I know hes probably not gonna be like magneto, but I feel like he could probably correlate maybe some of the skills that magneto had. For example, like making himself fly by controlling metal, etc. I just want to know, how do you guys feel about the supernovas development.

First of all, that's Kidd you are talking about…. and then, yeah, I guess he's powered up a lot, but since we haven't even seen his full capabilities before the timeskip, we cannot really say how much he has improved, or how he has developed - and that's true for ALL of the supernovae.
Edit: If he would become just like Magneto, that'd be much too uber. :ninja:
He could have a helmet to prevent CoO users from predicting his movements. That would be pretty magneto like…

He already has protection goggles.
I'm a little bit confused about the mermaids' fins splitting into feet thing. This happens after age 30, I think, right? So why does Neptune still have a tail?

Just because it can split for walking doesn't mean it can't be put back together for the sake of swimming around and such. Just look at Kokoro. They never become legs and feet really, just two halves of a tail that can function as legs.
Hi,am new in the forum and i didn't know where to ask these questions so i decided to make a thread here!
So the first question is:
Did Luffy got healed by Cobra when Crocodile was laughing,or was he healed after the battle?'Cause when Luffy was down,he suddenly gets up,like he was healed, and starts fighting…Was this his fighting spirit or he really got healed?
'Cause Cobra never mentions when exactly he healed him?...
The second question is:
How did Pell survived the explosion from the bomb that Crocodile had set up?And why when Pell sees his grave he gets mad???Isn't it normal that if people think that you are dead to make you a grave???
The third question is:
Is the last image that we saw from Moria the one that he asked Donflamingo if Sengoku had planned his killing, and Donflamingo answers 'try higher'?
'Cause somewhere in the forum i have seen people saying that Moria isn't dead,he escaped...Are these sayings facts or just expectations???

Luffy stood up due to his own willpower. After the battle, when Robin, Cobra and a passed-out Luffy are alone and talking about Luffy being able to survive being crushed, Robin gives Cobra the antidote and Cobra applie it. Then Luffy gets up again and save them all.

Pell survived because he's a badass, and badasses are able to do such amazing feats in One Piece.

Later on, when DoFlamingo is talking to the mysterious shadowy figure, he mentions that Moria just "disappeared" after he was mortally wounded and asks if the Kage Kage fruit can do that. It's obvious to us that Moria was saved by Absalon (who has the power to turn thing invisible). Also, Moria was mortally wounded, but he also has a world-famous doctor as a loyal underling, so it's easy to assume that Moria is alive and hiding.

Thx for all these answers but one question of mine remains:Why Pell was so upset and angry when he saw his grave???Was he mad that they gave up on him thinking he was dead???Of 'course they would think this since they saw a huge bomb tearing him to pieces…
I dunno. It was an anime-only scene, right? Don't put too much thought into it. He was just surprised they thought he was dead, that's all. Maybe.
Maybe you are right. And i haven't read this manga so i am not sure…But it seemed very strange to me...

Take the time to read it when you're ready to - the Anime doesn't really start getting consistant till after Water 7.

Whoa, you're right. I went back and read the last several chapters of the Alabasta arc. Not quite sure why they felt the need to do that, but then again, it's not nearly as bad as the gaping plot-hole of the extra poneglyph added in the anime. :P

Yoooouuuuuu…...really need to start reading this manga....The manga is overall a better experience than the anime. Its not dragged out (Even though it almost spans 630 chapters so far, but for a good reason), there are no unnecessary parts, and the fact that you are experiencing the authors own art, not some person who redraws his art.
Thx to all for your sugestions i think that i will read the whole manga from the beginning!

What do you mean by consistent?

For which gaping plothole of the extra poneglyph are you talking about?
If you read the manga, you will see the gaping plotholes. However, I believe that the particular plothole to which PM refers here is the one where the manga basically says that there is only one Poneglyph in any given location–this has to do with their function, so having more than one really does create a plothole for the anime, though I'm pretty sure they'll gloss over it somehow.
Yeah, in a filler episode, Luffy, Chopper, and Zoro discover a poneglyph hidden under the desert sand. Of all the possible fillers… Toei has to do that. Fail.
Do you think it's possible to master or have Haki without having strong will?
Do you think it's possible to master or have Haki without having strong will?
No. Haki means "will" or "spirit" by definition.
Do you think it's possible to master or have Haki without having strong will?
yes (all living creatures have haki) it just won't be strong.
OK, well, this page http://www.mangareader.net/103-56928-11/one-piece/chapter-597.html has Rayleigh saying that all living creatures possess it, but most never even realize they have it or manage to make use of it. So I guess technically they "have it," even if they never use it, though I suppose there is implied in there the potential for some rare few to learn to use it minimally, so I stand corrected, sort of. However, they certainly do not master it.
@I:
Haki means "will" or "spirit" by definition.
I actually already know about this, but I didn't realize it…
Also, by mastering Haki, I meant it as mastering the 2 other Haki beside CoC and by having it, I meant it as having CoC. So yeah, I guess it isn't possible...
well it depends on what you mean by a strong will and what you mean by mastering. All of the amazon fighters can use their haki but a lot of them fainted when Luffy used his CA (Conqueror's Haki, I find using the other abbreviation a little…) indicating that they aren't particularly strong willed. I would say that it's not unreasonable to say that at least some of them have probably mastered their haki, they just don't have much, i.e. they don't have much will.

I don't mean to split hairs here, but while I recall that AL was indeed famous for haki usage among it's residents, I don't recall there ever being a statement that everyone, without excption, could use it. Can you provide a link for this assertion, perhaps–please and thank you.

Ah going back over the chapters I realize that I don't have the evidence I thought. I had just assumed that the warriors were sitting together and that the woman here, was one of them, when she could just be a random citizen, my mistake . I still think it's possible, but there are no examples of it.
I always thought that they used embedded arrows, which one of the Boa-sisters embedded with her own haki.
Thinking about it, it is more likely that at least some of the warriors on the island are able to use haki and so to embed their own arrows by themself.
At the colosseum we saw that many fainted by Luffy`s CoC, but also some were able to stay consciousness, which i think are those warrior and members of the Kuja-pirates who are trained enough to master their haki.
Sorry to contradict you, Don, but as I read it, you cannot embed anything with Haki which just STAYS there - it's more like a constant supply of Haki that the user has to put into the weapon. Same as using it on your body, you cannot simply use Haki and let it stay in your arm without continuing to focus on it. So, everyone using a weapon with Haki imbued is able to use Haki himself, because it doesn't STAY in the weapon, one has to imbue it with Haki while using it, otherwise it's just a normal weapon.
If it was like you think, people could make a fortune by selling Haki embedded weapons - and I doubt that's the case.
Yeah, discussed that already a year ago and there i changed my mind :)
I just never liked the idea that rly each warrior on that island is able to use her haki.
I mean sure this is a warrior tribe that is famous for using it, but still that everyone is able to use it, makes haki look a bit less special, because still 95% of those warriors are just fodder.
Somehow i dont like that fodder characters could use it..it
s okay that it is within each person, but in my eyes those few who in the end are able to use that ability within themself, shouldnt be just mere characters.(exception may be NW pirate-captn
s and yonkou-crewmembers)
Yeah I understand you, but that's not really the matter here… It looks "less special" in a way, but then again, this is ONE tribe which has SPECIALISED in training their Haki abilities - notably Armament Haki. Even though they're fodder. In this case it is more about the training and knowledge that grants them the ability to use it, so it doesn't have anything to do with them being "fodder" at all.
And I don't really mind "lesser" characters having it, because, hey, it's not at the same level at all. On the contrary, I'd find it annoying if only the already strong characters had it. With the two standard colours, it's all about training this already existing Haki so that it can be used at will and in battle. So if the Kuja tribe specialises in that and children are brought up with the knowledge of Haki existing and being taught how to use it, it makes perfect sense.
But when this is something special and only this tribe mastered to give a good teaching to a new generation how to awaken it , i somehow wonder why the WG didn`t copy or used them to also train there soldiers that way.
It may be the case that they already train their youth(just like CP9-members were trained),but than it should be definitely more common among marines to have haki.So far it seems to be something rare which only a VA and higher has for sure mastered.
Thats why i wonder what they mastered to let it be an exclusive technique to awaken the haki within their warriors, what seems to be not transferable.
