actually there was one explanation.
chapter 562 or chapter 563 page 2.
the point where the pxs attack the pirates in the bay.
but i found two translations out there for the same panel. one lists them as being corpses sent out by vegapunk after experimenting on them. the other says nothing of the sort.the binktopia one.
now vegapunk experimented on live bodies too as we saw on the island franky got sent to.as about half cyborg animals
so couldnt the pxs too be alive? as like kuma?
Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

From what I remember he was sent lots of corpses to experiment on, but that doesn't necessarily mean those same corpses are part directly part of the pacifistas.
-
@I:
Why would you assume that, though? There are plenty of folks who deserve titles, in that case, and don't have them. Croc's is written in his name box "Sir Crocodile," so came straight from the horse' mouth, i.e. Oda.
I've always thought of it as an Title. When using Sir for knights it's with either first name, full name, first and middle name or middle and last name but never the surname only.
e.g. Sir Crocodile, Sir Crocodile D. gator, or Sir D. gator, but never Sir gator(surname).
Or it could be a style choice.. I met a student who's first name was Mister (Mr). His mom named him that so people would always show him respect.. XD
-
A sudden thought came by: how long will Brook continue his rough manner of speech? He started off very polite; now, he's completely informal with the use of "da" rather than "desu" to end his sentences. I wouldn't mind if this change is permanent, nor would it be noticeable once translated, but it seems a bit off of his character. It makes sense for him to fit his tone to his current appearance, though.

Has anyone noticed the gross misuse of power from the World Government compared to the Shichibukai? For instance, everyone hates the Tenryuubito for obvious reasons and would say that what they are allowed to do is terrible and all-in-all inhumane. While on the other hand, the Shichibukai also have no restrictions (pretty much) but do as they please without causing discord/chaos of pure disgust towards them. Crocodile was revered as a hero (before becoming a criminal, of course), Hancock is loved by all and is never threatened (other then by the Marines), Moria just wants to make a badass crew by stealing pirates shadows but he won't (he can't) kill them, however, he WAS just like Luffy before losing everything dear to him. Mihawk chills at his castle and sometimes, out of boredom, goes bounty hunting, and the list continues.
What do you think about the moral values of Criminals vs Revered Individuals?
I think it reflects our world today for the most part! -
Why was Sengoku wrapped in bandages after the war. He was never hurt, unless his own DF power hurts himself.

Either he overexerted himself from a lack of using his powers often or Blackbeard and co cracked in the ribs offscreen. Or less likely a Whitebeard sniped him also offscreen.
-
@S.C.:
Or less likely a Whitebeard sniped him also offscreen.
Hmmm, I'm going with this.

Guys, Please help me out.
see these two links.
http://read.mangashare.com/One-Piece/chapter-562/page002.html this is cnet's translation for binktopia
http://haven-reader.net/index.php?mode=view&series=One+Piece&chapter=Chapter+562&page=1&next=true franky house translation
which one is the correct one? -
Hmmm, that's pretty interesting, never knew they had a translation difference; now that I think about it, I forgot which one I read in the first place, lol.
Though I really am not sure, I'm leaning more towards Franky House's, as it seems more recent…but I dunno, really..:/
-
the frankyhouse is the more common and widespread translation from my research
-
True , but the anime also supports cnet's translation.

"x"mark on Doflamingo and Mihawk Arm?
Just notice this andhttp://www.mangaday.com/One_Piece/504/07/
http://www.mangaday.com/One_Piece/592/03/They have a some mark on the same spot though in the different arm
If it just a bracelet, or scars, Oda would not draw it in identical position like this. As we all known, Oda would never draw any details without any meaning.
At first I thought it is just a mark for loyalty toward WorldGovernment for Shichinukai, but from what I have check, Boa and Jinbei don't have this mark, so it could not be related. (have not check with Moria though, and for Kuma and Croc, iirc we have never seen their bare arm before.)
More over since Mihawk doesn't know who killed Moria , or maybe he just didn't want to reveal this to Perona. Is that some exclusive symbol for something?
A foresight for another secret organization that full with badass people like them?
Or hint us that their share some moment in the past as a companion?
Or just mere mark for friendship, very very low possible though?
-
How does Kuma teleport? Has this ever been answered?

Its back from when they were pirates, they used the marks so their crews wouldn't be deceived by Bon Clay.
How does Kuma teleport? Has this ever been answered?
If you mean has it ever been explained in the manga? Not that I'm aware of. Though since he can repel air, he probably moves away the air in front of him, while possibly repelling the inertia holding him still, so he can accelerate nearly instantly and not be slowed down by air resistance.
-
How does Kuma teleport? Has this ever been answered?
From what ive gathered he just pushes himself.
-
When introducing someone in the anime, they say "da" at the end.
Like luffy says "Luffy da" or when Sengoku says that roger is ace's dad, he says "Gold Roger da"
does that "da" have a meaning? -

That doesn't make sense. Why would Mihawk or Donflamingo worry about Bon clay? Why would they still wear X's if they are schichbukai's and don't have crews anymore?
-
I think that was a joke really.any heads up on the trans anyone?
-
Maybe a silly question, but was CP9's tekkai a form of haki? The whole hardening your body seems like it. Or am i totally wrong?
-
The whole move-set CP9 had might be explained with Haki, quite honestly
Except that Life-Change thing, never got what that is
And the Kami-E that the Chapapapa guy had, that one is also weird -
isn't it part of that fighting style, Roukoshiki or something I can't remember it.
-
Maybe a silly question, but was CP9's tekkai a form of haki? The whole hardening your body seems like it. Or am i totally wrong?
I've always thought tekkai was a tightening of muscles only like FRANK ‘CANNONBALL’ RICHARDS. The CP fighting style is basically mastery of the human body. To fly they kick a single spot hundreds of times within seconds to create a gust of air. Shigan I'm not exactly sure what its made of, but seems comparable to a flying sword attack.

Like luffy says "Luffy da" or when Sengoku says that roger is ace's dad, he says "Gold Roger da"
does that "da" have a meaning? That character simply ends the statement. It's the informal way of saying "desu" at the end of a sentence.

This is the third forum in a row where I have seen this exact same post copy/pasted.
To whoever was the original discoverer of this, excellent find.

So am I right in thinking that every logia is better than Ace now?

@Superbear:
So am I right in thinking that every logia is better than Ace now?
In that they're alive and he isn't? Yes.
-
In that they're alive and he isn't? Yes.
I'm still tripping over him not having color of armaments.
-
@Superbear:
So am I right in thinking that every logia is better than Ace now?
No
It's fire
Not much is better than pure fire.
Smoker isnt better than Ace, Crocodile isn't either and I dont think Enel was PERSONALLY considering Luffy could've completely destroyed in minutes if it wasnt for Mantra whereas Luffy (with Haki) still probably wouldn't be able to beat Ace considering their childhood fights.
The only things that could be called BETTER than fire are Magma for being hotter and more destructive, Light for being so much faster and Darkness.. well blackbeard used it to own him.
Just because Ace is dead doesn't mean his power was bad spaz! Mera Mera rocks, I hope a SH ally is the next to acquire it. -
cnet's translation is the correct one, though the mistakes of the franky house translator do make a degree of sense.
okay , so if that cnet translation is correct, can it be possible that hancock was simply using her normal powers on kumas while turning them to stone when they had the hots for her in her kicks?. If they were not dead, The stone turning thing would get a normal explanation right? as in them being alive and having some amount of brain control to have the hots in the human brain part of the cyborg?
else its her turning dead things to stone which is just about the reverse of how her fruit works right? -
Maybe a silly question, but was CP9's tekkai a form of haki? The whole hardening your body seems like it. Or am i totally wrong?
I really doubt it, when the snake sisters used haki, Luffy's punch didn't just stop, it bounced off, I think its a technique, not haki.
Same with shigan, if it were haki, they would've pierced through Luffy.@Superbear:
I'm still tripping over him not having color of armaments.
Lets assume he used CoA, I believe Akainu's CoA would be stronger (obviously), so wouldn't it let him overcome Ace's CoA?
Besides, CoA isn't an instinct, Satori (The ordeal of bubble priest), when he lost his mantra for a moment when he lost his focus. -

Besides, CoA isn't an instinct, Satori (The ordeal of bubble priest), when he lost his mantra for a moment when he lost his focus. If he had the ability to use it at all, he wouldn't have lost to "newborn logia" Blackbeard.

else its her turning dead things to stone which is just about the reverse of how her fruit works right?I would assume that the Pacifista are still living, however I don't think in this instance it matters. I can't say for sure, but I think her kicks can turn anything into stone. From what we've seen, only her beam attack requires lust.
-
The marks on Mihawk and Dofla's arms are extremely suspicious to me…they are definitely too similar to be an accident. It would be interesting to see if any other of the top tier characters or Shichibukai have this mark.
-
I would assume that the Pacifista are still living, however I don't think in this instance it matters
.
arent the pacifista the only instance we see hancock attacking with something other than beams? Then why is this instance not important?apart from smokers case where she's obviously using haki.while breaking the jitte too i think she used the same.
I can't say for sure, but I think her kicks can turn anything into stone. From what we've seen, only her beam attack requires lust.
that point is very important indeed. If her kicks can turn a dead kuma to stone, which seems to be the only instance of her attacking and turning something to stone without beams iirc, then her fruit works on all tangible and intangible objects, making the logians kinda vulnerable.(without haki usage )
but if she is simply turning the live ones into stone ,its another matter altogether. -

I doubt it….. it's probably wind or weather.

Dragons DF fruit is a mythical zoan Dragon fruit!

This is what I've been hoping for!
Dragons could cause wind, and if it's an electric dragon, it would very well make sense. I hope it's not as simple as weather power.
-
I doubt it….. it's probably wind or weather.
Yeah it could be dragon breath? No one actually knows I just want to
see a Dragon fire mythical Zoan.Oda never disappointed me before so we will have to wait and see.
How would he reveal his power?
Would it be in another War perhaps? -
What if it isn't a devil fruit but a weapon like Pluton or Poseidon that controls weather?
-
What if it isn't a devil fruit but a weapon like Pluton or Poseidon that controls weather?
I wouldn't think so, only because nobody knows how to read the old language. But we can allow that its possible that they found a weapon intact…maybe. But from what we saw of the plans Franky destroyed it seems the weapons are large, so Dragon couldn't have had it on his person. If he didn't then how did he know the gust was coming at the exact right moment?
-
Don't over complicate it.Just hope for a bad ass zoan type.
Dragon the Dragon. Will the next War involve Dragon?
-
There's a war coming?
where from?
if you are talking about the end war though that wb hinted at . yes . probably. -
No I was wondering will the Yonkou battle the Marines…I guess that would be the endwar?
-
The end battle shirohige hinted at would be the end i think. and it would certainly have some yonkou fighting against the wg.
why would dragon join a yonkou though?unless it was luffy?
