Yeah, I'm wondering what does the ONE PIECE look like…
Could you guys give me an idea?
Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
-
-
An One Piece bathsuit.
-
made out of gold
-
i think the question is self-explanatory.
i mean in every story there is a main villain, Orochimaru in Naruto; Aizen in Bleach; Hao in Shaman King, etc. But who is the main villain in One Piece? i mean after 421 chapters of manga and 272 episodes of anime we still dont know who the main villain is. i mean we can say its the world government, but idk. maybe someone has a better idea of who it can be.
or maybe the answer to the question is so obvious and i am asking a stupid question. either way, i dont know who it is.
-
Not nessarally. I mean… The whole Dragonball franchise never had a MAIN villain.
They just had a main villian for each arc/saga.
-
well, the true villain in the OP WORLD's eyes are PIRATES and that includes Luffy and his crew..so, pirates are the villains marines are the heroes it also goes the other way around. So, everybody is the villain and hero..XD
-
…I'm tryin' to think of a more intricate answer than just 'there isn't one'...
But, yeah. There isn't one so far. There have been villains like Crocodile or Enel that could easily carry entire series on their own, in style, substance, and significant, but there's been no one person to present an overarching threat throughout the whole series. Mind you, as time goes on, someone may show up to be a supreme bad guy, or maybe an already introduced character will ascend to that role, like perhaps Dragon (personally, I'd love for Blackbeard to fill that role, since he kicks ass in every which way), buuuuuuuut...I doubt it. Just doesn't seem to be in the cards for One Piece. Not the story's style. Really, I think that the closest thing to a main villain will be whoever the final battle happens to be against (assuming it's not a semi-friendly rival battle with Shanks or the like)
BUT...gun to my head, if I had to pick the main villain(s), it would be the Five Elder Stars. But, really, we don't know enough about those crazy old bastards to say for sure. BUT, the World Government is just getting more and more sinister as things go on, and they're in charge of it, sooooo...
-
Of course it's going to be ULTRA Buggy.
Or is it?
Maybe Ao Kiji? I think that the situation with him won't be resolved this arc, because I think that it he's Luffy's Mihawk, in a sense.
-
Thing is in Naruto Orochimaru and Akatsuki are both major villains, so its kinda split there.
I'll have to go with the WG
-
That's what I find unique about OP having no main villain, but changing as series progresses. In fact, I like it this way better. A series with one main villain can get repitive after a while, where the main villain always escapes and then come back for more, and you can easily expect the outcome again.
-
Its Dragon! In the end, both pirates and government will combine to defeat the ultimate villian ever!
okay maybe not but thats the great thing about one piece, there isn't a main villain, and not everything here is black/white but a lot of gray like in the real world, true good and true evil is very hard to find. -
**The ultimate "villian" is Pwn Goat. The same goat that orders Sengoku around. Of course he is not truly a villian, he is merley testing Luffy and the SH.
But in all seriousness, it seems the people who fit the role of villian best thus far are the gouresi. though not directly meddling with the SH, they are responsible for so much.
I hope OP stays the way it is and doesn't have a set main villian for the series.**
-
It's true, so far there is no main villain in One Piece, although perhaps it could turn out to be the World Government itself, or someone, or a group of people who are the leaders of it.
-
So far, there is no 'real' main villain, but the closest would be the Five Elder Stars. They blew up Ohara, they covered up Luffy's defeat of Crocodile, and they're in charge of the Marines and the Cipher Pol groups.
-
World Government and Gorousei.
-
The Gorousei, Sengoku, Dragon, Blackbeard, Whitebeard, and Hattori.
But what no-one knows is that they are one and the same.
They are…
CHUCK NORRIS!!
No, no, no, no. Hah. If I had to pick one, I'd say either Dragon, the Elder Stars, or like, Blackbeard and Hawkeye.
-
-
Whitebeard. The second strongest man after Gol D. Roger. I think thats what it said.
-
I'm glad there's no main villain in One Piece. That's part of what makes Naruto so damned boring.
-
I'd say the world government would kinda be the main villians. Also i kind of think of Orochimaru and Itachi as Whitebeard and Mihawk. We know those two will most likely be the final tests for the strawhats.

Why must you post that picture? What's the point of it?

Except they kind of stay away, instead of popping in every 10 chapters to make sure the series reaches its gay quota.

Don Krieg is the main villain of the series. Take a look at these:

http://groups.msn.com/OnePieceManga/onepiecechapter48.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=979Here, Oda shows that no matter who it is, Luffy will not back down from a challenge to his reaching the One Piece. This has never happened before and it never happens later (with the exception of Buggy). But Luffy doesn't see Buggy as his greatest adversary. In Roguetown, he says "Oh, it's you Buggy" and totally brushes him off:
http://groups.msn.com/OnePieceManga/onepiecechapter98.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=1940
He doesn't take Buggy seriously at all. And here are some interesting scenes, including Luffy calling Krieg his RIVAL:

http://groups.msn.com/OnePieceManga/onepiecechapter60.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=1210And of course, there is the fact he refuses to back down, and look at that face…!
http://groups.msn.com/OnePieceManga/onepiecechapter63.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=1264
http://groups.msn.com/OnePieceManga/onepiecechapter63.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=1265

http://groups.msn.com/OnePieceManga/onepiecechapter65.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=1305This, above all else, is the absolute, solid proof. Krieg and Luffy became ZOMBIES just to make sure they killed the other:
http://groups.msn.com/OnePieceManga/onepiecechapter66.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=1309
http://groups.msn.com/OnePieceManga/onepiecechapter66.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=1324
http://groups.msn.com/OnePieceManga/onepiecechapter66.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=1325^Here Gin has to shut Krieg up and says "Lets start over". In other words, someone beat their high-score and they will try again. Yes, this is a big stretch, but shut-up.

I've always thought the main villian is the WG. It doesn't really hafta be 1 person dudes~
-
I really hope the WG are not final bosses of the story, I'll like a religion battle and a evil compeny battle

"Encyclipedia Luffy and the case of the missing Bibles". Lol…
-
I am literally willing to bet money on Buggy. No lie.
-
There isn't one.
Thank god…
They just become Naraku's after awhile... -
There are 4 different types of conflict, if I recall correctly:
Man VS Man
Man VS Nature
Man VS Society
Man VS HimselfIf I had to guess, One Piece is mostly the third one as the overarching plot - after all, the World Government blocked out 100 years of history for a reason, and judging by their methods of keeping the information hidden it wasn't a very morally sound one (although we don't know yet). Besides, with the latest arc showing the declare of war upon the World Government, we'll probably get more and more of this Man VS Society deal as the overreaching plot, with Man VS Man for pirate crews and battles and other such things.
-
Buggy learns to take his DF to the next level (such as luffy recently has), chopping himself into pieces so small he cannot be attacked, and this is luffy's ultimate battle on Raftel.
Seriously, how amazing would that be? And how's that for coming full circle?
-
Carter every damn time you post that Popey picture I friggin laugh myself to death.
Its definatly the WG. After all Luffy did declare war on them. That has to mean something. -
The classic comic book ideal where Batman has his Joker, Superman has his Lex Luthor or He-Man has his Skeletor doesn´t apply to One Piece. As already stated in here the antagonists come arc wise. And even when Luffy defeats the worlds strongest person (Whitebeard) or his idol Shanks to keep his promise then they won´t count as the main villains because in 421 chapters they have done nothing so far to move antagonistic to the protagonists.
If there´s anything that can be considered main antagonistical then it is the World Government which makes sense because this is a pirate story. Being a pirate itself indicates that you defy the government rules. And many of the adversaries we´ve met so far be it all the Marines, be it a Shichibukai or CP9 are all executive organs that work for the WG (though they have their own plans like Crocodile). So if anything the WG itself is the real main antagonist in One Piece because they definitely go against everything Luffy and his ideal of being a pirate stands. The other adversaries are just in the way compared to the WG.
-
When it comes right down to is. Luffy.
Pirates are supposely the "bad guys" and Luffy has rained surpreme.
However Luffy isn't the villian to us, but because he does plow through everyone, there isn't one. Plain and simple.
-
Personally, The fact that the villains are constantly changing are one of my favourite things about OP. Because,
You know when other series do that thing where theres' this really evil badass overlord, and theres' a hell of a lot of buildup to the climax, and the heroes take him and his cronies down in a fantastic explosion of fights and emotions, before the entire Saga beautifully wraps up?OP does that over and over again.
And it keeps an overall background plot, interconnectivity, and above all, quality. After all, OP is far from Ranma ½. -
I am literally willing to bet money on Buggy. No lie.
Me too, me too! Besides even after 40 volumes Buggy is still my favourite. WG… yeah well, ok. It's a fine choice too but if you're looking for a good ol' main villain, Buggy that is.
-
Why the NAVY of course. They're always out to get pirates, which are on our side.
But there's also bounty hunters, out to get Luffy. And those with bounties on their heads aswell…..well I don't know.
Yes, I actually think it's buggy aswell. But it seems doubtful that a clown is Luffy's biggest threat.
-
Actually, besides Johnny, Yosaku, and Zoro…we haven't really seen any bounty hunters (outside of Whiskey Peak).
SO maybe in a future arc we'll see a mercenary after Luffy's bounty. -

I think you may need to read more of One Piece until you get the bigger picture.
I'm gonna just agree with Cowmakaze.

Don Krieg is the main villain of the series.
Now that you mention that, I can see him coming back (I already could due to what Gin said), but I have to go with what most of the others are saying: there really isn't one. The closest is the WG itself, but I don't see them as the "final" villains.
-
there in't one / it constantly changes, which in this case really helps the series IMO
-
Since they've made enimies out of bounty hunters, pirates, and WG, the way I see it is that the world is out to get them.
-
Personally I see the Grandline itself has the main villian of One piece. Throwing obstacles and villians at the StrawHats to overcome. I feel when Luffy finds One Piece, he has beat the Main Villian the Grandline.
-

Actually, that's really not a bad way to look at it.

I'm glad you see my point-of-view. heh

I'm sorry if a topic like this was made… you can delete it or lock it up if you like mods out there...
Anyway, this thought was bothering me for a while. I think Gold Roger did in fact eat a devil fruit it would be the Rubber-Rubber fruit.... why I say that I don't know... but I just think he did... since during his excecution they stabbed him with two big swords since you can't hang a rubber man.... (If he eaten it) Also why would shanks have such a fruit and know it off hand... huh.
Well that's my thought on it please feel free to rant and rave in this topic saying if it's true or not. Just please don't flame and sorry if this topic is dull and starts any fights.
-
Also why would shanks have such a fruit and know it off hand… huh.
I've also thougt about this once.. Why would Shanks be so angry about Luffy eating the rubber rubber fruit, besides the money he could make by selling it?
He must have thougt/known it was a very important/powerfull fruit.. and the only way you could know that is by knowing someone who used it.
-
I've also thougt about this once.. Why would Shanks be so angry about Luffy eating the rubber rubber fruit, besides the money he could make by selling it?
He wasn't angry, he was worried. He went through the same story before with Buggy. He would be again responsible for dramatically changing the life of a person that was near to him. It's just that Luffy didn't really mind, he actually liked it.
Shanks was still worried at the moment he saw Luffy eating that fruit though, he probably couldn't take it if another person was hating him for the rest of his life. It might have brought up the memory too.

You're absolutely right !
But the question remains why Shanks had the Rubber Rubber fruit with him.
Did he find it by accident, or with a reason. He could have been looking for that specific fruit because he knew about the potencials it could have. -
that is a good point sanji the cook i like it and i agree with you. and laaz the reason he would have the rubber rubber fruit is because if gol d roger had eating it then died then the fruit would grow back and shaks was there as a member of rogers crew and must of taken it ?? but i have a feeling one day we will find out lol :P
-
We know from where Shanks has Devil's Fruit.
