Well, actually it's weird that there's no mention in the Manga about a woman who married the leader of the revolution and is the mother of a Narcoleptic that made it as the second division captain of the Whitebeards and a Straw Brained boy who managed to get a 300 million Bounty…..

Hahahaha, do you think it's a coincidence that Kuma appeared in this last chapter?? Obviously my theory (ie. my brother's) about him being bald will be revealed soon! I bet that Oda read my theory and said, "WOW, I have to bring Kuma in just so I can use Admiral Wolfpox's great theory~!!"

Also, for the guy who said that my theory about Blackbeard appearing in Thriller Bark with Ace's dead body was so stupid, what do you think now?? It's not Blackbeard, but it's a super-powerful character who suddenly appears for some reason in the middle of the arc, probably for something important! I predicted that, according to the pacing of the story, and the emphasis after Enies Lobby on how the 'whole world' will be after the Strawhats, something would have to interrupt this arc. I figured it would be Blackbeard/Ace, but who knows, maybe Kuma will know something about it!

And who knows! Maybe after Blackbeard finished killing Ace, he saw Kuma and followed him straight to Thriller Bark! My theories will soon be proven correct, and I shall be exalted with some sort of… you know... great... status title or something...

Also, if we were going to have any Shichibukai crossover with this arc, I'd expect it to be one who shows remote religious signs, which is evident in the fact that Kuma's carrying a bible around. Of course, for all we know, it could be the "Bartender's Bible" and he's just there to make Moria a mean Long Island Iced Tea.

After reading chapter 473, we get to know more about Kuma and his power. As we saw on page 16 in this weeks chapter, Kuma…

! takes off his glove and makes Perona dissapear.
Now this is all very strange, but Oda gives us a clue of what his power might be. On page 14, He asks her…

! "If you're going on a trip, where would you go?"
After she answers, she attacks him, and then Kuma does his "attack".

So what does this all mean? Well, my theory is that Kuma's power's must revolve around…

In that only picture in which he appeared with Doflamingoe, his size was a matter of perspective so it's debatable. Plus in the meeting chapter when he's sitting by the window reading his bible and sitting at the table with the other Government people, his huge size was already confirmed .

good theory dude. i think its teleportation as well…i wondered a handful of times when oda would put a teleporting guy in the series. its like all these possible df powers whens this one gunna appear. every last thing that kuma did pretty much points to teleportation but knowing oda we can never be certain.

I think it's pretty clear that he has the Anthony Anthony Fruit that allows him to send people to the cornfield.

Really though, the best theory I've heard to date is that he has some version of God's Notebook from the God's Gift to the Future one-shot. That's why he was scribbling in his Bible before he sent Perona on her vacation.

I just got done reading Stephen's translation, and the sound effect for that panel was Kuma flipping through pages in his Bible, and nothing about scribbling.

So..I guess this whole thing is still up in the air.

Personally, my favorite theory is that Kuma has the teleportation fruit, and uses his book as a way to guild him. Now, whether or not Kuma has the fruit or his book has it is up in the air. Hey, what if Kuma's a guy who has a bunch of DF related items instead of eating one himself?

By the way, what are the odds that Kuma is also a sniper of some kind? Considering that he seems to keep saying phrases around the word "target" and has this teleporting power, it would seem to make sense.

I really can't see him being a sniper. Maybe the target motif comes from his ''teleportation'' abilities, which in turn make a kind of ''target that cannot be hit.'' It's as if he's taunting people who actually think they can hit him, by wearing a huge target on his shirt, when in the end he could just zip out of the way and continue reading his bible. (Kind of what he did with Perona.)

….Yeah, just grasping straws here, although it's a fun idea.

Flamingo was standing a little further back in the middleground, so if anything he should have been taller than he appeared on that page next to Bart. He's definitely bigger now than his first appearance, but it doesn't really matter. He's a big bear motherfucker.

And yeah. Stephen's translation has him going through the bible as "flip flip" not "scribble scribble" which means he was reading. He was probably just doing that because Perona's dream was retarded and boring him to death.

His power is NOT related to his bible. Whether it has one separately has yet to be seen or indicated.

We see when Perona vanished that he'd removed his glove, so teleporting(whatever he does) other people involves physical contact. He obviously doesn't have to do that to move himself around.

Is there any chance Kumas powers are introduced in a similar way to Buggys and Miss All-Sundays? ie: that the little hint on how they work are missing to make it all the more mysterious?

Well, Perona was the sacrifice (aka jobber or cannon fodder, though I think she deseves a little better then that) who was used to demonstrate Kuma's power.

And, seeing as Kuma either transported her to a scary castle or the opposite, that's probably going to be the next cover story subject. It's loose but semi-related.

What did you think when you first saw Nico Robin back in Little Garden, where she disarmed Usopp and Sanji, and popped Luffy's strawhat to her own head? I thought she had the ability to let things fly or stuff. And that's just because you haven't seen her rampantly hands on the objects she touched.

Maybe it's the same case here: We saw what Kuma was up to with Perona, and we saw how it ended, but somehow we missed a few things between page 15 and 16. Fact is, Kuma scrolled through his Bible, and while Perona was attacking, he took off his glove and did something what looked like a touch.

Maybe Kuma somehow stopped time with his Bible and then simply threw Perona as far as possible? You can't rule out anything.

I will repeat my theory about the Whirpool fruit.

Imagine that Kuma can make Whirpools than can teleport him or any other person to a place that he can see and he mastered the power until the point that he can make them without any problem and very fast.

If Kuma's power is teleportation, anything to do with 'another dimensions', storing people in books etc I'm going to be seriously dissapointed. I don't believe Oda would give him such a cheesy and boring ability.
