You don't consider Whitebeards feat impressive ?
Well they proved they were a powerful crew. Not that they could take on the marine. At least not to me.

Vento Aureo is better…
In B4 Steel Ball Run and Battle Tedency debate.
Isn't it a rule of shonen that mass produce enemies are shitty? I though it was established with how easily px was dealt with as soon as he became a prototype for better pacifistas.
They dealt pretty handily with the worst generation, WB's new world pirates and tore through those crews the fake strawhats had gathered. And that was a while back, odds are that the newest batch are even more durable and offensively capable. One on one they might not be too much, but what about 100? 1000? Or 10 000? I mean at some point the just dogpile stronger characters.

Sure. Back then they were that brand new piece of technology we knew nothing about so they were incredibly effective. Now that we know about and we know they've start producing more of them? They are going to get destroyed left, right and center. Probably becoming the robotic version of VA. Just have to see how easy they were dealt with after the timeskip.

Aren't they human?
Aren't they human?
Kuma was said to have become more machine than a human. In any case, they just follow orders, they have no will of their own. Doubt they can be fainted by some Conqueror displaying his willpower to them.
Besides, who knows what the new version looks like. It might not even have human component.
Kuma being turned into a full pacifista always made me wonder, if he is now more dangerous.
A non thinking killing machine might not have that tactical advancement, but just like in DBZ Buu´s last form without any regrets was the most feared.
Kuma being now modified with wine steel and wapometal orso, makes him less vulnerable and his conscious gone makes him now a Terminator, without remorse^^

If they become (Or already are) the equivilent of mass produced vice-admirals then they are incredibly useful. As we've seen anyone below 100-150 million stands no chance against one of those robots, meaning that they alone can effectively supress all the blues and paradise.
Wakey wakey, eggs & bakey, topic :)
With all the hullabaloo about taking on Big Mom and Kaido now, what ever happened to the good old fashioned Shichibukai? You thought they were done after Doflamingo, right? "Son of Whitebeard" isn't really worth losing sleep over, maybe? Fully-militarized Kuma is too hard to figure? Well, you forgot about a certain one that's a true badass, none other than Mr. Mihawk.
Zoro just came from training with him (cost: 1 eyeball) and no doubt couldn't beat him or reach his dream yet. Maybe with a little of that fox fire training from Kinemon and a little more time. But could Luffy beat him now? Not relevant since he won't be fighting him, right? I'd say it is, since he's already tangled with an admiral and wants to go after yonko now.
Last they met, Luffy knew he was outmatched, even after having beaten other Shichibukai before him. Now he wants to go after the top badasses in the sea, so if he still can't beat Mihawk, the implication is that Mihawk is stronger than even them, or some of them. Which might not be too far off, if beating him means reaching the first mate's final goal.
Or you could say, apples and oranges, but what are your thoughts on Mihawk vs the top contenders out there? How many people could actually beat him right now?
My current estimates: Mihawk could be beaten by Kizaru, Akainu, Blackbeard; maybe the likes of Aokiji, Sengoku, Kong. Shanks, Fujitora, possibly Sabo and some others would possibly be a draw; he'd win vs Luffy (and other supernovas), any other Shichibukai (Kuma being an unknown) or the other two yonko. As a disclaimer, I have no basis whatsoever for saying this. :)

Mihawk is a warlord so he does not have to worry about fighting the marines and they gave him the world''s strongest sword man title which means he is not weak so he would at least be on admiral level since even Doflamingo and Law could fight against a admiral for some time.
Mihawk will most likely be killed by the prison warden sword man that blackbeard recruited from impel down Shiliew he just needs to steal the diamond fruit from jozu to be able to beat mihawk since they are going on a devil fruit hunt that makes the most sense for him to get since Jozu is a enemy of the blackbeard pirates and it will give zoro a enemy he can cut diamond on and become the world best sword man at the same time.

Wow I never thought of the possibility of Jozu's fruit been stolen before. That would be pretty awesome.

Shanks crew main members most likely have no devil fruits so it will be a crew with no devil fruits vs blackbeard's crew that has every crew member with a devil fruit so in other words they needed the power of devil fruits in order to beat Shank's crew also Jozu having his fruit stolen has been posted as a theory ever since Blackbeard stole Whitebeard's fruit lol.

That long ago?? So there's still hope of Zoro cutting diamond.
And Mr. 1 will be there crying.
"I remember when I was important to Zoro like that…"

Do you guys think Law's place in the shchibukai will be fill any time soon?? What about Doffy, is he still a shchibukai?? If not, someone would have to fill that position.

I'm guessing Doffy's not, since his evil deeds were made public and he's apparently on his way to (or by now may have arrived at) Impel Down. If only Fujitora weren't blacklisted, this would be a good chance to swoop in and make his case for "Instead of replacing two more members, let's just get rid of the system." Instead, they probably will try to find replacements. I'd figure that at least one will be a new character; if one of the new members ends up being someone we know, I can't think of who it would be.

I don't think they will find new replacements for them. Or, explained in another fashion, I don't think Oda intends on creating new Warlords, since they shouldn't be relevant for the story anymore. In the recent chart that was revealed, they only portray the remaining 5 with the text "Will the actions of the remaining Royal Seven Warlords of the Sea also hold the key?". The world seems to be descending into full chaos, with Supernova alliances forming and targeting Emperors, with Blackbeard on his way to the Revo Army base, with 2 Warlords out and the Reverie approaching… there seems to be no space left in the story for these positions to be filled. The power balance will soon be shaken to the core in ways way more radical than some warlord being taken out. I.e. an Emperor will soon be taken out. We may even see Big Mom and Kaido in war with each other so...
If there's going to be any replacements this would be a good time to reintroduce a post-timeskip powered up Kreig/Gin.
I kind of doubt it, but if there was any time to put him back in the story that would be it.
Not sure what the point of the replacements would be now when the disbandment of Shichibukai system seems to be imminent. There's probably plenty of opposition inside marines and maybe even WG. Not to mention Fujitora's gamble will probably have a huge effect.
Besides, if WG goes out on all out war against pirates, Shichibukai will stop being so useful. Not to mention the members themselves won't want to help WG in that scenario.

They took him to impel down in chains after he was defeated so 2 open spots and i think they will be filled before all the royals met since they might disband the warlords but it will make them seem strong even if they lose their title right away lol.

Even if they lose their warlord title right away it will still be a good way to say these 2 characters are strong enough to be offered warlord spots so the readers will look forward to them being defeated more plus we still have not had a zoan warlord unless weavil is one lol.

With Buggy having been introduced into the Warlords, I don't think simply presenting a character as one is proof of their strength anymore. And why would Oda need to introduce 2 new characters like that? If he wants to show them as strong mofos, he does the same as he did for Jack. Huge bounty, trashing an entire country, etc. The Warlord position is meaningless for the story now.

The new admiral has not talked about removing them yet since the meeting has not happened yet so the people that recruit the warlords have no reason not to try and recruit them so its up to Oda in the end and they could have high bountys as well and like i said he has no zoan warlord so it would nice for him to fix that before he disbands them.
It would be funny for them join the warlords and then be kicked out plus that would give them a reason to target the world govt when most pirates only go after the marines lol.
we had weaker warlords before buggy even joined such as pre timeskip crocodile and moriah that got weaker since they hanged around in the first half of the grand line not fighting anyone strong to get stronger but then we had stronger warlords that such mihawk who use to fight shanks a yonkou and kuma that helped to force the crew into their 2 year training and blackbeard who became a yonkou.
buggy will become a ally again when he loses his title so he does not need to be strong for luffy to fight him plus his impel down crew from all the way to level 5 and the pirates that worked for him during the time skip since they think he is strong because he use to be a roger pirate plus him being great at making strong bombs and cannon balls was what made him a threat.
I'm going to imagine Moria is going to make a comeback in a big big way. He'll find and unearth the remains of Whitebeard and Ace, and have Oars Jr on his side. Not only that, he'll have an armada of harvested zombies ready to invade unsuspecting islands and be able to challenge the Yonko.

He will be helping out with Kaido and could power up Luffy with his shadows again (could take the shadows off kaido's crew members with that invisible dude it would be easy since they normally pass out when the shadow is takes as well.)
It would be funny if he got the killing blow on kaido and turned him into a zombie as well.

I don't think Crocodile and Mariah were really that weak, they just got cocky.
Both Crocodile and Moriah were so far out of Buggy's league it's not even funny.

I doubt they're gonna abolish the system any time soon.
I mean do you really want Mihawk as your enemy as opposed to fighting on your behalf? I expect in the New era after the PK has been decided and all that shit has gone down, and new people are in charge of the WG and Marines, i expect then the system will be abolished.

I agree. Moriah look like a real badass before he got fat and lazy relying on his Zombies to fight for him.

Crocodile and Moriah both seemed to get weaker by just hanging around their base in the first half of the grand line stopping them from fighting strong new world enemy's like Doflamingo was in the new world.
Buggy hanged around the weakest sea east blue (the marines seem to capture the strong pirates there and Arlong had Jinbe's protection as warlord) instead of going into the new world like Shanks did he would have been a lot stronger if had gone into the new world at the same time Shanks did since not only would he be stronger but he would have had stronger crew mates as well but now Buggy just seems to depending on others like Moriah was to make Buggy money which means Buggy is not getting it enough fights to get stronger.
I doubt they're gonna abolish the system any time soon.

I was mostly replying to Chrior since he thinks the warlords will be disbanded before the replace they two empty spots.
There were hints that WG was planning a conquest of NW. When that time comes, Shichibukai will become surplus. Shichibukai are only good at maintaining the Status Quo or the World Balance in OP lingo. It was never a long term thing because we know WG is bent on conquering the world.
And now we actually had some foreshadowing. As we've seen, a big part of the marines was always against Shichibukai. Then Oda explored the theme further with Movie Z. Then he explored it even further with Fujitora who only joined marines to take down Shichibukai system. Reverie is approaching and people will find out about Crocodile and Dofla, if they don't already. They know about Jinbe, they know about Moria, they know about Blackbeard and they know about Law. One disaster after another.
After this Reverie there isn't going to be one for another 4 years. If there's going to be a deffinitive decision about Shichibukai, it's bound to happen now, not in another 4 years.

i don't see what the Reverie has to do with the Shichibukai system.. As far as the world knows, Moria died heroically in the war of the best…..

And that Crocodile, Doflamingo, Jinbei and Law have went rougue, plunging two WG affiliated countries into war. And Blackbeard who used the Warlords as a springboard to becoming an Emperor.

It's a world council where leaders of allied kingdoms and countries meet to discuss matter which could or would change the world. If enough leaders, unhappy with what happened in recent years, demanded that the Shichibukai system becomes abolished, it might happen. You know, what's the use of WG if it can't even protect it's allies from pirates on WG's own payroll (metaphorical of course).
Besides, Fujitora mentioned Reverie and said something like "the world will change, whether you like it or not" to Dofla (paraphrased). In the context of their discussion up to that point, it's as straightforward as a foreshadowing can be.
Do you guys think Crocodile and Moriah knew haki before the time skip??
I look forward to the day when buggy reveals that he was faking his power all this time and proceeds to overthrow every yonkou and admiral, one bara-bara each.
Do you guys think Crocodile and Moriah knew haki before the time skip??
We haven't been shown anything to suggest that they did, so I doubt it.
Do you guys think Crocodile and Moriah knew haki before the time skip??
It was hard to tell before the time skip who had haki since after the time skip you have body parts going black when they used so you can prove it now.
Crocodile was going into the new world during the time skip and Moriah's ship is in the new world (was seen near the kid, hawkin and apoo island i think) they most likely can both use haki now that they're in the new world and both had to get stronger after losing to luffy)
I just want to know what purpose in the story will the new Warlords serve. Oda made Law one during the timeskip, only to remove him 3 arcs later. I think it's a sign that said organization isn't made to last. As many have said, the Reverie is about to come, and then, the Royal Seven Warlords of the Sea will be disbanded. Why would Mihawk bother turning against the WG just because he is no longer one of them? He just wants to do whatever he wants.
Do you guys think Crocodile and Moriah knew haki before the time skip??
No, they both fought Luffy, and weren't able to hurt him with blunt force.
No, they both fought Luffy, and weren't able to hurt him with blunt force.
That's because Oda hadn't invented Armaments Haki yet
Do you guys think Crocodile and Moriah knew haki before the time skip??
Moriah, I think so. Croc? meh.
Out of universe answer: Since Armament Haki wasn't really prevalent until Sabaody, them not showing signs of it during their respective arcs is probably because of its late introduction.
In universe: They either didn't use it against Luffy because they didn't think they needed to, or they didn't know it at all due to lack of training and ambition.
