I still think that you guys are overhyping Yonkous way too much. Mostly because if they are so beyond anything else, then after Luffy defeats his first Yonkou, anything else becomes entirely meaningless. For example, the moment he beats Kaido, only Big Mom, Shanks and Blackbeard are left as proper rivals. .

who says he's gonna beat kaidou first? We're not even sure he can take on doflamingo, and to kaidou doflamingo is nothing!

id say big mom will be the first to go, she seems to be the weakest.

Blackbeard is constantly getting stronger, so he can always be a rival to luffy up until the end of the series.

Because they won at Marineford, are said to be even stronger now, and Big Mom is most certainly weaker than Whitebeard?

Altough I do hope that Zoro will fight Fujitora. And then I hope he will lose.

They won at their own fortified headquarters, where they could specifically set the terms of battle, while holding prisoner the member of the Whitebeard pirates the pirate crews were trying to save. By managing to concentrate essentially all of their forces. Against an old, sick Yonkou (and his crew, the top members of whom held up well against admirals until they got distracted by Whitebeard's illness/injury). And if they start hunting Yonkou, the remaining Yonkou suddenly have an excellent reason to start working together, which is exactly what the Marines don't want, as that might just be a battle they cannot win.

i understand your point of view. After all… just because someone is strong, doesn't mean they want to have that role or lifestyle in the pirating world. I think gold roger and luffys concept of just being free, makes it clear that their are other ideals followed by people in the pirating world.

I actually wonder what the point of calling yourself a warlord or yonkou is, if it only makes you a target, or forces you into some role or image. What's wrong with just wanting to be free to do as you wish, and not have any name attached to you.

Fighting at Marineford was a big factor that allowed the Marines' victory. It's very hard to beat a defending faction on their own turf. And it's not like Big Mom's crew stagnated during those 2 years. They have Jinbe and the Fishman Pirates, for example.

Basically, don't expect similar results. Take in account all the different circumstances.

And Zoro won't lose because of his promise he made Luffy to never lose again… at least, against swordsmen.

Darth is somewhat right. Some of the crew including Franky and Zoro are kinda arrogant. However, Franky and Senor Pink will decide Franky's direction. My prediction is that Zoro will face off against Bastille. Zoro is not up to admiral level yet and he needs more experience.

Take a look at Zoro's badassness. Plus he treats Sanji like crap (joke or no joke). Zoro honestly thinks that he can challenge anyone. Franky is a little less arrogrant, but given his personality, he doesn't want to be treated as fodder. Franky always say Super and has these weapons. IMO he is a little arrogant. Although these guys are somewhat haughty, they are still one of my favorite characters.

He did lose to Kaku. And I doubt Fuji is considered a swordsman.

Kaku only wounded Zoro enough to make him fall into his knees. The latter could still fight.

Fujitora fights primarily with a sword, even using it when manipulating gravity. He's even based on a fictional character who is known as the "blind swordsman".

It kills any sense of danger in the story, because, for example, I won't believe that anybody except for Yonkou is a threat to him. It would be like following adventures of Whitebeard in his prime. Kinda boring, because we know how it will end.

Then there'll still be admirals, yonko commanders and the remaining yonko that are a threat to him. Plenty of characters.

So a swordsman can only be considered a swordsman if he fights exclusively by hacking and slashing? The fact that he pulls out his sword to manipulate gravity when that shouldn't be necessary shows that he is much confortable fighting with a blade than without.

And Kaku is a swordsman, but that fight against Zoro in Water 7 didn't end with a winner. Zoro could still fight, as he tried to attack Lucci shortly after.

You know, but from the other hand, he was a monster even in his illnes. I mean, he still took some of the worst wounds in the entire series. I don't see anybody defeating a Yonkou, if they have higher endurance than Whitebeard, plus actual ability to dodge.

I think that Blackbeard is going to be only Yonkou on Whitebeards level by the end of the series. Again, just my opinion though.

Just because he prefers to fight with his gravity, that doesn't mean he isn't a swordsman, especially when he even uses his sword to manipulate gravity anyway.

In a fight, somebody loses when they are unable to fight back or simply surrenders. Zoro could still fight, but Kaku didn't finish him off for whatever reason. The fight could have continued, but it didn't. You're basically saying that Zoro lost because he fell on his knees.

He challenged Big mom because he had no choice. It was that or letting the island get destroyed because he ate the sweets. I'm pretty sure he considered the Yonko the same way he considered the admirals powerful dude that he will defeat later on.

If anyone saw the latest anime episode, they had Buggy speak and it was kind of stupid because it was obvious they were doing that to fill up time, but Buggy seemed able to split very quickly, so maybe his mastery over his powers have increased. Then again anime is not canon.

He recognized that after they tried everything and he saw that it was impossible but after that he challenged everyone else, there's was no choice but he did and I get what you're saying but Luffy is no the type of guy to think things through before taking on someone and I'm pretty sure that If a Yonkou was going to attack him he won't back down from it. Simple-minded, arrogant, stupid, the guy have it all packed.

The whole crew took in one Pacifista before Sentomaru arrived in which they all utilized their strongest attacks at the time and then they tried to escape only to be destroyed once again by other Pacifista, Sentomaru and Kisaru, so to me it seems like they tried everything with the first Pacifista which let them exhausted and then Luffy decided to run when he realized that they were fucked.

The moment he bringed a Admiral to them he excused himself to the crew. And he also agree it would be best to avoid him. But of course if he is attack he retaliate.

Most definitely. In fact, I don't think it'll be long until the warlords are disbanded and Akainu and the marines want every and all pirates, no exceptions.

They may be given a pass, but they're still pirates, and have some have shown repeatedly that they're some of the worst and are actual huge threats to the world of OP, despite having government amnesty. Crocodile, for one. Doflamingo, even moreso. Doflamingo has had his hands in all sorts of aspects of the One Piece world and according to him, has knowledge that could tear the world apart. He's a huge threat and though they've managed to keep him relatively suppressed with his title of warlord, he's far far far too much of a potential threat for the WG to keep around forever. At least Mihawk and Hancock aren't as ambitious in their desire for power as Doflamingo, so he especially needs to be removed from any assistance from the WG and they should come down on him with everything they have if Luffy or Kaido don't do it before them.
