After the flashback is finished and we are returned to the present, it will be revealed that Jinbe had killed all the Straw Hats, stole their ship, and ran off to the New World while we were preoccupied with the story of Fishman Island and Otohime's death. It will then additionally be revealed that Jinbe is truly the infamous Dr. Vegapunk, who was the creator of One Piece, and the Aizen counterpart of the series since his first appearance.

I believe Whitebeard's name was originally Whitebread and that he loved baguettes.
I also predict that Straw Hats will kill Chopper and Sanji will turn him into a venison dish now that he's grown bigger and likely tastier. Chopper will, however, taste like s**t, so Luffy is the only one to eat him. Eating Chopper will cause him AIDS though, and he'll be under a strong medication the rest of the series. Sanji will cry.

! Queen Otohime is Luffys mom. That's why he have a gold-fish brain (maybe) and is awesome with a punch) and that's why he is ”Gol. D”. Rogers son which is why she dies… BUT his brother Dragon (as it turns out) didn't want the same fate upon Luffy as it turned out for Ace, so he though he would tell his friend Garp to look after Luffy. And they go way back! You see, back in the day the not-known-as-D's made a pact with the devil, because there was war, and they had to sacrifice themselves in the process, to spread their lives to those whom they wanted to end the war, and thus the Will of D is immortality. And this is what happened in the void period. And pluton is what “they” needed to get the D's un-immortalized. But something happened and now the pluton is spread around the world, in forms of sea-stones. It dried the world dry of water on some places and therefore there is now land. But then the D's asked for more to create harmony (you know, yin and yang-ish) and thus the devil-fruits came to life. But only too late did they find out that the tree with the fruits had it's roots in pluton covered ground and it sucked it into the fruits. And they decided to blow it up the D! way, but the explosion caused the fruits to fly all over the world and now everyone, Civilians, Namekians, Skypieans could have a bite. Now the D's were in it! And then evolution kicks in. Since the time line is a lie(!) it should be said that everyone were seamen at the beginning, and some couldn't handle the water, so they started to crawl on land. And therefore the land-people believe they are superior because they are above their ancestors. Now, the WG knew the mind set of the people and they don't want people to find out about this truth, because then everything they do will be questioned so they made discrimination-propaganda. And because the people on FI blame Dragon for the Queens death (they don't know about Mr. Roger), he couldn't make an alliance with them. BUT Roger had thought about this and asked another friend, Whitebeard, to help the island for future drama, because that's what brothers do (I mean, not blood brothers but, you know Sir Whitebeard and family). But Luffy KNOWS SOMETHING (subconsciously) and seeks to destroy FI! Why?!
! And One Piece is a metaphor for society. What it used to be, and how it's turned out. -

The WG knows that pretty well and that's why they fear a war because the most powerful human being (after wearing the ultimate hat) will face them.

-Shanks lost his arm ? Because he decided to abandon the Strawhat, the fact that made that same hat abandon him and make him lose his power : Not wearing a hat => arm chopped off. Lucky him he remained a Yonkou.
-Roger decided to be captured ? Because of his incurable disease ? No. Because he stopped wearing his hat which led him to be captured and executed.
-Whitebeard became weaker ? No hat of course. Same for Ace, even if he was a D he died pathetically. And all the commanders except Vista -who was on par with Mihawk, and that's something- were weak.
-When Luffy got his wound in the chest ? He was fisted by Akainu because the hat left him for a moment, so he really was lucky and escaped death.

True, Segoking's mask only covers the face, not the head. While Usopp had a bandana, its old, he had it since he was 12 and met the trio that are his loyal followers to this day. Unlike a hat that could last a lot longer, esp formally worn by a great like Roger, Usopp's bandana wore out its power.
I noticed that since the timeskip and Usopp has a real hat, his powers has gone up, many fans love him and many now call him Mansopp. and to think all he needed was a real hat. -
