What's your daemon?

I don't know how many people are familiar with the book The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman, but the movie is coming out in December.

BUT! At the movie's homepage http://www.goldencompassmovie.com/ you can take a "what is your daemon" quiz? Just go to the main page and click on the rabbit in the corner.

For those not in the know: In the book daemons are physical manifestations of a person's soul that take the form of an animal familiar, forever connected to their human and the two cannot be seperated physically without immense pain or death.

The quiz also allows you to post it on your blog to ask your friends if the traits match up, and depending on what they answer your daemon can change. The quiz/daemon has 12 days to "settle". Or you can just go with what the quiz initially gives you.

I won't post it here cause I don't want people screwing with it who aren't close personal friends, but when I took the quiz earlier today I initially had an ocealot for a daemon. Now it's a wolf (yay!).

Another cool thing is that your daemon comes with a name, just like in the book. My daemon's name is Nicoleus.

A whippet is the fastest breed of greyhound dog. Very very lean and twiggy.
It's not my fault it keeps changing though. I put it on my LJ with the option where others could judge me and so the traits and, thus, animal change. Just like the books :)

Awww, lucky, whippets are pretty much my favorite thing ever.

I started out with a spider (which was fitting considering the house I grew up in was infested with giant spiders the last few years I lived there) which has been fluctuating between ocelot, lynx, ladybug, and butterfly ever since. I think it's still a butterfly right now. Name's Anicetos, if that matters.
