Why is Foxy on the list? Didn't Foxy and Luffy sorta leave on…"better" terms than "He ruined my life".
Who is Duval?
-
-
he ruined his flag.and ended his series of straight wins.
-
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
-
he did.he had over 200.Thatl get to you.
-
No, I wasn't saying "Riiiight" as in denying you were true. I was saying that to accept the fact that I'm an idiot for forgeting that.
-
youre NOT an idiot.youre just misguided.
-
my bet on an unknown character. Probably, Franky's dad.
-
my bet on an unknown character. Probably, Franky's dad.
[SARCASM]Of course, how dare Franky not drown when he was left to die.[/SARCASM]
-
uh-what in gods name does that mean?
-
Dupal comes from Sniper Island and the man who ruined his life is Sogeking. EPIC.
That'd be the coolest thing to ever happen EVER.
-
[SARCASM]Of course, how dare Franky not drown when he was left to die.[/SARCASM]
Maybe he threw Franky over the edge because he ruined his life, discovered he's alive and in the Mugiwara crew and now wants to finish the job.
Out of curiositiy, why is Gaimon on the poll list? If anything, Luffy opened his eyes up to the real treasure on the island.
I want to say Buggy, but the whole "Trading People" thing doesn't seem like his style.
Besides, there's no way in hell that his nose could fit in that helmet unless he took it off. Also not his style.I'm voting new character.
-
I'm amazed by your quoting skills kibagami.. =P
If you want to argue anything you should argue that it is not the case in the world of OP. But we don't know enough about that, infact we have accounts of enslavement we can point at: Coby at the hands of Alvida and Nami and the rest of her vilalge at the hands of Arlong.
Heh thanks. I clicked the 'multi' function at first but it didn't work so I went back quickly to quote it again only to quote the wrong post. Saw it quickly enough though, so I fixed it b4 the 'edit' thing even shows.
Anywho yeah… that's pretty much what I'm saying. In the OP world Pirate is like THE CRIMINAL of choice. TRULY dignified Pirates should not settle for being called a kidnapping ring. That's just how I feel. So whether or not Krieg or Bellamy or Kuro etc should be considered a dignified Pirate is the question.
Like I said, between Krieg or Morgan I'd say Krieg has a higher chance because he's been in and out of the GL; because he's hijacked and sailed Marine ships; because they (Gin) promised to meet again on the Grandline; and for whatever reasons I may have missed. However, I actually think Krieg rather enjoys beings a sneaky Pirate, and is proud of his Pirate way. So the only thing holding me back on that thought is that I don't think he would settle for being the leader of a kidnapping ring. He might pretend to be one, but what for? What's he got to gain for doing so? Not to mention the fact that I think he's too old and weak to be considered 'strong' in this area of ocean. In any case, I want it to be a stranger we've never met anyway.
-
The hell is Gaimon doing on the list?
-
I say he might be Kumadori :P
EDIT: On second thought, he might be Wanze.
-
Hatchi probably originally came from merman island, so it's more or less natural that he returns there after Arlong was defeated.
Furthermore he probably went there directly by using an eternal port and in the best case even underwater, i****nstead of defeating two shichibukai, destroying one of the world governments strongholds and stuff like that.
You have the point… I mean there are 7 shichibukai... two went down by the SH... but it's not what others have done...
you don't need to bring down two Shichibukai to go so far…You're assuming that Hatchi didn't get stronger.…
No, probably he does… but it seems in the cover story that he is not fighting a lot anymore... he's running a tokoyakis' shop.
So perhaps he became stronger, but didn't improve that much IMO.
-
panda man, I hope nobody else has said this
-
^ no, the joke was to obvious to be funny so most people stuck with gaimon, foxy and mr 3.
-
Wapol, Simply due to the fact he has a ship that can submerge. Oda must have designed the ship for a purpose, and we ain't seen it yet. Oh yea and he also liked to wear fur and bits of armor, and Dupal doesn't sound too different from Wapol. ( yes I'm clutching at straws )
-
Oda-sensei says that Dupal, Duval, or whatever his name, is a new character, right but the character somehow recognized Luffy and hold a grudge against him, for ruining his life. He also wears an armor clothing and possibly protect his identity by wearing an iron mask, meaning that the character 'Dupal or 'Duval' could be an old familiar villain who using that name to cover up his identity. You guys had been saying that he is actually Morgan, right?
Well, from what I remember and heard, the name 'Morgan' is a surname, as said by the little girl, Rika in the first few chapters of One Piece Vol. 1. We don't know Morgan's full name, but could it be 'Dupal or Duval Morgan' or 'Morgan Duval' since the surnames of One Piece is in the front like 'Nico Robin' and 'Monkey.D.Luffy'?
-
Ok, forgive me I skipped through a lot of the middle pages, but has anyone thrown in Mr. 6 as a possibility? If they have, please ignore me. As far as I know, he never appeared, but you could say Luffy ruined his life by destroying Baroque Works, and we've seen every member from 1 to 9? Except him.
-
… but you could say Luffy ruined his life by destroying Baroque Works ...
actually in destroying BW luffy ruined a lot of lives…
-
You don't see their point. They said Bellamy and others could've trained AND Duval doesn't have to be the main villain of this arc. Oh, and HELLO to you too.
I just don't think that Oda see's the likes of Bellamy as great pirates. Whoever Duval is, he seems to be of new world calibre and i think that's the key to uncovering his identity. I see people playing down Hacchi's strength and ability but he's a fishman who lost to a character destined to be the best in the world, i really don't think his loss to Zoro is accurate enough to gage his strength against.
-
he cant be a main villian for this arc, every main villian will have cool underlings who will take on the likes of zoro and sanji, but dupal's underlings seems like nameless small timer without an introduction.

If the Shandobie Islangs/Grove 44 thing tends to be to Fishman Island what Jaya was to Skypiea then it is a pretty short arc in itself which means that Duval pretty much will be the main villain here. You know, like Bellamy was at Jaya. Fishman Island itself will probably have some uber shiznit as main villain like the other mega arcs had.

Ask your self…
- Who is the most Corrupt and Dehumanising and entity faced by Mugiwara Kaizoku ?
- Who is strong or resourceful enough to make it up to the middle of Grand Line ?
- Who is respected enough by the World Government to let himself Traffic in Beings ?
If you haven't figured it out yet…
SPANDAM -
yeah spandam… right... faster then ever...
-
^ no, the joke was to obvious to be funny so most people stuck with gaimon, foxy and mr 3.
it's no joke, not on my part at least. I think Oda is finally going to use him.

SPANDAMAnd he´s been out of the picture for more or less two weeks. That guy most definitely has zero chances to gather new men in that short amount of time even if he would be a strong dude. But being weak as he is, I doubt that anybody who´s not obedient to the WG will accept that 9 Doriki dude as his/her leader.
-
If Dupal is someone we've met before than it is most likely(in order) Morgan, Kreig, or an unknown.
-
yeah, krieg the guy who guy who got his ass kicked at reverse mountain made it to the red line.
-

He could have already been in control of them. Spandam is quite the Douchebag.
-

It was never said that his as was kicked at Reverse Mountain. For all we know he might just have entered the Grand Line through the Calm Belt, which practically could have got him anywhere at this the first half of the Grand Line. I mean, I really wouldn´t Mihawk expect to hang around Reverse Mountain even if he wants to kill time.
-

As if the Strawhats would have had a chance against Mihawk ;)
-
Hm, I actually think quite the opposite. It´s topics like this that make the forums. We´re be given our little guessing game by the author which will eventually cover a couple of chapters so why not just enjoying it while it´s there? Or would you prefer another strenght level or death in One Piece discusion?
I agree completely. One Piece fans across the world are discussing the identity of Duval, and rightfully so! It's the most pertinent question, and often these kinds of discussions force you to go back and remember different parts of One Piece that you otherwise wouldn't… such as this evidence that it will be Don Krieg:
See? That's proof enough for me.
…Wait, what was I saying?
-
what about him ? T-BONE ??????????????
-
T-Bone lives for justice and the safety of his subordinates. kidnapping would be the same as him having a personality transplant.
-
watch, when it's him, I'm going to laugh.
-
Even though I originally voted Don Krieg, Bellamy seems like the more logical choice. But I have always believed the guy to be dead, though.
Don Krieg will probably appear again, but maybe not yet. The thing that gets to me is why a person that aims to be the Pirate King would want to wait forever at the Red Line to get his revenge.
Bellamy's life was totally ruined once Doflamingo decided to throw him out of the team.
-

"Wait forever"? Where are you coming up with this stuff? If it is Don Krieg, it's probably been like a month or a few weeks, during which he would have been keeping busy and making profit in the kidnapping rings.
Bellamy's life was totally ruined once Doflamingo decided to throw him out of the team.
Doflamingo didn' "throw him out of the team", he MURDERED HIM via Sarquiss. Big difference.

Wolfpox: Untill it's acctually been proven that Bellamy is dead (by either showing us the corpse or mentioning that he passed on by a reliable source) could you stop trying to "correct" people that think he is alive?
We don't even see the final slash.

Man, you're such a dope Ivotas. Mihawk was obviously hanging out with Crocus. Contrary to his demeaner, Mihawk actually loves animals, so he had a love for Laboon, but Laboon was scared of him since he didn't have an afro. It is a shame for Mihawk that he had never practiced being kind hearted, so he could not sway Laboons heart.

I'll stop, but only because you asked, Gorlom.
Still, it pisses me off when people make it seem like it's more likely that a wussy minor villain with pink clothes and a crappy devil fruit who got KO'd in one hit and is probably dead would not only survive, but make it to the Red Line (with no hints given that he will ever be a factor again,) suddenly put on huge bulky armour that restricts his vision and movement (even though both would be vital to using his df power!) and wait for Luffy at the Red Line! I mean seriously, while it would be a wierd twist, why not go for the most obvious and probable candidate?

Because the obvious is not Oda's thing.
You should always expect the unexpected. -
that's just it though, no one is expecting the expected, so bam.

What kind of shitty logic is that? Just because it's a twist, that doesn't make it probable! By that logic, it will most likely be Shanks, because NOBODY would EVER suspect it to be Shanks! Ding ding ding We have a winner!

Nah it isn't Shanks(Luffy didn't ruined Shanks' life, it was Shanks who ruined Luffy's), it is GAYmon cause he just realized that he's gay and he's in love with Luffy.
-
But even though Luffy didn't ruin Shank's life, just because it's not expected, that means that it must be him, even if it makes no sense. I learned that reasoning from two very wise men not long ago.
-
I thought Buggy originally but after thinking a bit it's probably either Krieg or Morgan.
-
Dupal? I bet for Morgan.. or maybe Krieg is also a possibility.. but i have a good feeling that is morgan.. @all Nice to know you.. I am newbie in here..

LOL Are you an retard? Duval said someone ruined his life.
Bellamy got is ass kicked by Luffy so he's a candidate eventhough it's unexpected.(Bellamy = Duval is impossible for me though)
Gaymon's fantasy for his treasure got ruined by Luffy so he is the best candidate.
Gaymon = Duval possibility is over 9000.
