Your Favorite Anime Character(s)

My favourite character from each of the series I watch/read would have to be the following. I know that the thread says anime, but I hope manga characters count too:

Akito/Agito (Air Gear) - I love how he switches between being very cute and quite creepy.
Mad Hatter (Angel Sanctuary) - A very interesting character, and I love her habit of changing her hair and clothes in each appearance. Sevothtarte comes in second just because of his name.
Charden Flamberg (Black Cat) - I love his power to control his blood.
Mayuri Kurotsuchi (Bleach) - Such an awesome design, personality, and fighting style.
Captain Bravo (Buso Renkin) - One of the only good mentor characters I've ever seen. I'm probably one of the few people who actually saw the movie on which his clothing is based, which made me laugh when I read about it in the author's comments.
Ophelia (Claymore) - So sadistic and creepy, particularly her awakened form.
Tyki Mikk (D.Gray-man) - A suave man with interesting powers, particularly the Tease. Road would have to be second, followed by the twins in third.
Greed (Fullmetal Alchemist) - The coolest of all the homunculi.
The Count of Monte Cristo (Gankutsuou) - Mainly because of his voice in the English dub.
Katsura (Gintama) - The 'Zura' joke never gets old.
The Captain (Hellsing) - The best thing about him is that he has still never said one word.
Belphegor (Katekyo Hitman Reborn) - Very creepy, especially his nickname Prince the Ripper. The tiara is what really sells it.
Eshros (Konjiki no Gash) - Cruel and manipulative, with some of my favourite spells of any mamono. Mars is a close second.
Robert Haydn (The Law of Ueki) - I love the coat and the bandages on his forehead.
Candice (MÄR) - What's not to love about a masochist?
Zabuza Momochi (Naruto) - Definitely one of the better villians. Deidara used to be my favourite, but now he just (for lack of a better word) blows.
Sir Crocodile (One Piece) - By far the best villain in the series.
Ltiangle (Rave) - Such a bizarre design. Like Bel's tiara, the 'God Save The King' written on his neck sells it.
Faust VIII (Shaman King) - So creepy, especially his wheelchair and Frankenstieny trick he does in the manga.
Elendira the Crimsonnail (Trigun Maximum) - He only defeats Wolfwood because he's a transvetite, which is such an interesting choice for the strongest of the Gung-ho Guns.
Balmunk (Zombie Powder) - Nothing about him makes any sense.

I forgot to add the wacky Hawaiian principal from Ranma 1/2. His dub voice was hilarious, even though I'm usually against dub characters having accents. Every one of his weird gags had me laughing.

It's because that the reasons for disliking something/someone are typically much more varied and interesting than just a list of characters you happen to like, accompanied with pretty generic reasons.

Actually it's kind of hard for there to be anything but generic reasons for liking a lot of anime characters.

Etemon: He was the best thing that could have happened after the clicheness of Devimon. He, Arukenimon and Mummymon are my favorite of the Digimon Series. I actually Ignore/don't remember what he wanted to do besides beating down anyone who dared to insult his ego, but his voice actor was superb in the spanish version, and yeah, it was nice to see a ridiculous looking thing to beat up things that were twice his size.

Gash: I dunno how to sum it in words, but Gash is pretty much what I tought as a kid that would be a decent main character (A kid shooting beams from his mouth!). Gash getting more mature trough the manga is what makes it great in my oppinion.

Luffy: You have to admire someone who fights for his ideals, even tough he may act dumb sometimes, Luffy really knows what to do at the right moment. It just shows how Oda really knows how to make inspiring characters.

I don't know, I kind of have boring taste in characters. I usually end up liking the favorites, like Zaraki, Zoro, hell, even Jiraiya's probably up there for me. I've gotten pretty sick of the sissy-boy characters over the years, I say the more grizzled and scarred up the better.

Actually, I think I favor a good design over a well-designed personality. Yeah, style over substance, whatever…

Being unique isn't necessarily a reason for me to like a character, but it helps anyway because then the character stands out. Who wants to like cardboard personality douchebag #137

Yeah, I'm not going to use unique/original as my only reason for liking a character. But a character doing something or looking a certain way that is different from the majority of other characters and also awesome, means that uniqueness is a perfectly good reason to like a character.

Why do people generally like Franky? Because he's such a great blend of goofy and macho, which is interesting because it's not done particularly often. Mr. Satan excepted.

I usually like speed characters but the ones in OP (Kuro and CP9) weren't that likable to me personally.
