Yikes :cwy: Lots of arguments and ranting. To be honest, like someone mentioned earlier, that stuff IS kind of scary. It's also a reason why I don't say too much anymore, and why I kept some of the craziest name stuff to myself (Luckily we fixed it all anyway) I run a big site of my own so I'm used to this stuff, but I don't know if VAs or anyone else like that would be brave enough to visit :pouty:
Anyway, I know everyone's passionate about OP, but there's a difference between being passionate and being chronically-negative and argumentative. puts on old man hat even though he's still in his 20s I'm definitely in no position to lecture anyone, but I can say from personal experience that being negative 24-7 (and lying to yourself that you're not) won't lead to a very happy life. Whenever I get all cranky and negative, I like to step back and look at the world and just try to relax and enjoy life. I don't mean to say it's not good to be mad, but I don't like to WANT to be mad, you know? Anyway, enough of my old man craziness. Here are some relaxing gifts of music http://tomato.fobby.net/music
On to OP business There've been tons of pages since my last real post, and I don't have time to go through them all and answer questions that haven't already been answered, but I'll try to pick up a few of them real quick.

About Pirate King, I searched around the list and I can't tell what exactly they want. I don't know how to explain it without showing it, so I won't. But it SEEMS like they want either one or the other, and that they have a preferred one (King of the Pirates). Personally, I haven't had any episodes where this came up aside from the previews, so it's never been in my spotlight of stuff to check into. Also, as some people have already said, some people prefer one while some prefer the other. I personally like "Pirate King" since it's short (VERY important when you're a subber ) and had OP never been created and had I encountered this term in a different show or whatever, I would've made it "Pirate King" without a second thought. But I know in some cases one might sound better than the other, so I'll see if we can alternate. Sometimes just "king of the pirates" in lowercase might suffice. But it's one of those "I'll figure it out when I come to it" things. It's almost impossible to always make everyone happy
(On a side note, you know when you say a word over and over and over so much that it loses meaning to you temporarily? (what's the term for that anyway?) I've had that happen to me with Pirate King and King of the Pirates over the last few days. So at this point my brain hurts when I think about it. But translation-wise I do like "Pirate King" because its sounds cooler and it's a good deal shorter)
Let's see, I'm not sure why people are arguing about Gum-Gum now, I thought that was all covered over a month ago  For those saying that Gum-Gum isn't a correct translation, it really is. Here are a few quick links:

Now, if this was the first time OP was being translated ever, and if it was still relatively unknown, I'd probably want to make it Rubber-Rubber just to be consistent with everything else, plus I think it might match lip flaps better, but I'm cool with Gum-Gum. I do wonder how they're gonna handle the lip-flaps on that though.

For ベリー we're doing Berry/Berries. We weren't sure for a while, but eventually decided on that. I also think the list might've had a part to play, but I can't remember for sure. Knowing the list, it was probably inconsistent or something
The guy's name is Montblanc Noland. It used to be something else before FUNi took over (and before these recent changes), which may or may not have already been used in games/whatever. Just to beat the crazies to the punch, Noland is an acceptable translation. I personally like it. I can't tell for sure if the word play is intentional or not, but if so, my hat's off to Oda
I've been incredibly busy (as usual), plus I've been trying to sneak in time to play Super Paper Mario and Gyakuten Saiban 4. Finished GS4 so hopefully that might clear up a little more time but I'm still busy, so don't get too surprised if I disappear for a while again. Sorry if I didn't answer everyone's questions, there've been so many pages. I'll try to post again when I get time.
