Wow, I just took a nap and woke up to find the new site layout. I like the new colors, its paint just like my old room. Although, now I have the urge to stop using black and white signatures now.

Such an option would be nice, but it would also use up even more space on the server, which is one of the reasons so many people (myself included) still have problems getting the pages to load properly.

By the way, no idea if my opinion even counts, but you might want to consider redoing the borders for the tables via the CSS file. Grey and black seem a bit too contrasting.

The layout is rather well done, IMHO it's looks ugly to some people because you let it take all the horizontal space so details are smaller and lose texture (Reduce the width of the browser window to that of the header banner if you don't believe me).
And to be fair, about removing the choice of skins, maybe they had to hardcode some things in the php code (like dimensions, images and colors) that will break if the stylesheet is changed, so its possible that at this point they wont be able to enable them without some work. Otherwise I don't see a reason to disable the choice.
