Please respond soon, PZ, because I don't want to stick around with the permeating stench of stupid any longer! I want to get back to my job! ;-;
@meujeudom:
I don't think Ussop used Dials. in fact, I don't even think he landed on his feet. from what I undrestand of this scene : he fall, get up and run after the ship.
Conveniently forgetting the fact that he fell from the Tower of Justice and broke half of his ribs, I'm sure what you said is 110% true.
@meujeudom:
just for info : a Brigantine needs at least 20 peoples to navigate. and that mean they don't have anybody to use the cannons and they must work 24H/24. a "normal" crew of a Brigantine is around 80 peoples. The KOB shouldn't have moved, unless they enroll the Franky family to the crew or something. (that was my dream in the W7 arc : that the entire FF became their crew, but it doesn't happen :cwy: )
It's not a Brigantine. It's not a Sloop. It's a Brigantine-Sloop, which basically means Oda threw away any historical material when he designed that ship and created a fictional monstrosity of approximately the same size as both ship classes, which is frankly the only bit those two have in common.
Looking at pictures of what Brigantines and Sloops look like, what Oda "invented" is just an oversized Merry. He obviously put 0% effort into making it, which is why it looks like a child's Chimera instead of an actual sea-worthy vessel.
@onemoment:
In the context of the series, Usopp just jumping from a high distance seems more practical dramatic.
As your English Composition 101 instructor, I give you a B-.
@Greg:
DID YOU READ THAT!!!???
I tried not to, really.
@Greg:
That my friends, is why OP reigns supreme and will continue to do so.
Pardon?
@Greg:
So Oda doesn't kill many people.
Tough monkey balls.
Aye.
@Greg:
What he always manages to come back to in the end is a MAN'S story, just like he always says.
Fact: Usopp is actually a woman, though I mean no offense meant to the females on this board or abroad.
@Greg:
There is no pansy-footing or song and dance:
"Sorry, I was wrong!"
"I was wrong too!!"
Uh?
@Greg:
He friggin' took it all on himself like a MAN and apologized. That took more balls than anything else he's done in the series to date.
Where's that Usopp moment you were telling us about? That? Pathetic. That's not manly, it's 'faggotry'.
…
On another note, I think Oda should have pooled his influence from Hokuto no Ken rather than Dragonball, while still keeping in the Dr. Slump genes; for characters touted as being immutable, Oda sure has a habit of pissing people off.
And he chuckles at the notion of getting more criticisms than Kishimoto? He fully deserves 'em; I'll bet the Japanese fans are even more psised than us, and no, not the dumb little children, the grown-ups.
