My Lord, lets assume that I take everything literally….. Why on earth is it so hard to differentiate rational assumption, applied logic and obvious comedic effect. No, because nothing was demonstrated. Character assertations, especially hyperbolic or metaphoric ones from a known unreliable source are not proof of anything. Canon is determined by the presense of actual proof not the possibilty.

That sequence is at best, a forshadowing of sanji learning Geppou, a point made more unlikely by his bridge failure a mere chapter ago. However given that such things are best saved for fight suprises, by shonen logic, I would say that there is a 30% chance that he can "fly", on a purely speculative basis.
