Can't wait to watch videos explaining wtf happened, cause i don't know wtf happened.
Also its always a bummer when a story throughs out its hard set rules just to adhere to the rule of cool.
-
I'm as lost as the people in the chapter which gets kinda stale after 05 chapters of it
-
I just don't care about the rules, it's easier that way. They're doing magic and trying to one up each other, and in general Gojo's not doing great but he's still standing and trying strategy after strategy.

So why arent all those people around the Tv trying to deal with Kenjaku while Gojo is busy with Sukana?
-
Flashback to Shibuya: if you had suggested that gojo vs Sukuna would end up being one of the most boring fights in the series I'd have called you cuckoo for cocoa puffs. Yet here we are...more fight commentary than actual fight. :/

I think the idea is that they don't want to interfere with whatever Gojo has planned.
However, I can't help but feel like some of the other characters could actually do some major damage to Sukuna.
The lawyer guy can probably instantly beat Sukuna since he is most definitely guilty.
Lightning guy should be out there fighting regardless, since he's whole thing was getting reincarnated specifically to fight sukuna.
I can see why the others remain though.
-
@desa probably because if gojo loses everyone will need to jump sukuna before he can recover, hopeless as it seem. You'll also have a hard time finding Kenjaku and then needing to run back if he does lose. But the reality is it doesn't matter if Gojo loses and they take out Kenjaku because Sukuna will wipe them out anyway. Best to save that health pool for everyone to jump Sukuna.
-
@kevo_koma lawyer guy can't because sukuna's CE and DE will be way too massive for his own to even work.

OK, this is the point where I expect Megumi to actually do fucking something.
However, this fight feels lacklustre compared to all the other crazy fights in the culling games.
-
Not sure Megumi will do something anytime soon.
But now as Sukuna has some drawbacks as well. It's the best time to do something for him.
I think at the end Gojo will come close to finishing of Sukuna, but at that moment Sukuna will switch places with Megumi and Gojo bails and then Sukuna switches back and finish's him off. -

Sukuna is a hack

I just which the author had found a way to have Sukuno manifest is original body and have Goja and the kids defeat him. I am tired of this fight if Gojo goes down who will be able to defeat the two big bad
-
please heat it up and deliver some impressive visuals, petty please
-
so yeah, gojo is a beast but he is definitely losing this fight. The rules of shounen demand it.
He is having too much of an easy time with the big bad. No way the author lets it end like that
-
While I can obviously see the flags for Gojo losing, I can't see anyone else defeating Sukuna. Even if they all teamed up.
So I'm really intrigued by what will happen.
In some way, Gojo and Sukuna have to take each other out for the story to continue.
-
Easy solution Itadori is gonna eat Sukunas finger.
-
It could be possible that Sukuna wins but gets a parting gift from Gojo that weakens him so that it would be believable that the rest of the cast could take him down.
-
Sukuna/Kenjaku pulls something and Gojo is incapacitated. 1) Kenjaku jumps Sukuna to carry out what is left of his plan (that he created Yuji for in the first place) and succeeds, everyone fights Kenjaku, people die and the series end. 2) Everyone jumps a weakened Sukuna, Sukuna actually has to rely on his own abilities instead of spamming shadows. Kenjaku comes in, whoever remains fights Kenjaku. Gojo do a suicide move to either save Megumi/close his arc with Geto (not that he needs to).
That's all I can come up with. It can be a mixture of 1 and 2, where everyone fights Sukuna and he lose but not really and then kenjaku comes in to deal the finishing blow and absorb him/do what he planned with him, Sukuna dies and Kenjaku pulls his endboss power up, Yuji crutch his plot importance(foiling his powerup) and everyone fights Kenjaku.
And Nobara status is confirmed in a throwaway panel if we are lucky, one speech bubble if we are not.

sigh im so fucking done just end this next week and put me out of my suffering
-
@zeltrax225 Yup.
-
that was a good chapter, shonen fans are so fucking stupid lol
-
@Lord-Gaimon idk if half of the time are you just baiting or you are genuinely a wise person into your twilight years and just pass your time being grumpy at things
-
idk, this chapters a weird one.
-
@black-leg-jex
My take is that
-
I am not even mad. I have been so numb to the happenings for a while now. I am just along for the ride.
-
I expected it, but I'm still bummed out with the way it went.
At this point, I genuinely don't see how Yuuji can even share the same space with Sukuna if he's operating at this level in terms of battle strategy.
Like, Yuuji is just a pure melee fighter, who pretty much relies on overwhelming the opponent with attacks. I just don't see how this Sukuna could lose to a guy like that.
But I am hyped for Sukuna vs Everybody. Especially versus heavenly restriction Maki, Kashimo and Yuuta.
We have to see what Maki learned from sword guy and sumo guy
-
Wow that was like one of the worst piece of writing I've ever read in a manga. Like the last time I remember being absolutely left breathless by a piece of literature due to the sheer incompetence of what I was seeing was probably the end of Attack on Titan. But at least AoT was enjoyable on a so bad it's good level but this kinda makes me angry on a this is bad it's kinda offensive level. Like the sheer ineptitude of what I am seeing makes me question why Gege is even allowed to pass as a mangaka if he think this is acceptable.
-
yeah this is probably the best chapter in the series, would've never expected JJK to reach these heights from the mediocre start
-
I am probably THE most casual follower of JJK possible. I've seen maybe two complete episodes, some "character X is so cool" videos on Youtube, and this fight is literally the only chapters of this manga I've read.
All that to say: Folks complaining about the execution of this moment are crazy! This was great, even with me having no idea who any of those characters who showed up in the airport were. lol. I've followed enough Shonen to know the end of chapter 235 was probably the biggest "this guy's screwed" flag you could have possibly waved. So while 236 was a bit jarring at first, it took all of a few pages to immediately get what was going on.
Now whether you like it or not, or rather it's terrible in context of the broader story, is a different discussion that I don't know enough to engage; so I'll just have to respect that opinion. But I imagine a lot of fans are feeling like the characters in the story are feeling: "Wait, what just happened?!" It takes some kind of skill from the author to take an outcome your readers are already expecting and still be able to surprise them with it anyway.
-
I mean, you can also surprise your readers while not throwing writing out of the window.
This is a valid outcome, just piss poor execution. -
This post is deleted!
-
So it IS the execution that you most dislike. How would you have preferred to see it done, pray tell? #genuinecuriosity

Dont like the structure of the chapter but I enjoyed a decent good chunk of it

Ah, While I understand your viewpoint. I think you're first statement sort of invalidates everything else?
Lol,
Like Imagine One piece, We all know Shanks is an absolute badass. A vast majority of the fandom expects Blackbeard to kill him.
Now imagine Shanks fights Blackbeard. He basically pulls off the move he pulled on Kidd or sth(something so destructible, we all know that's his ultimate move)and then, in the next chapter, its Shanks in heaven, talking about how it sucks he lost and how blackbeard wasn't really trying.
Lol, I don't know about you but that shit would make me livid.

why would he imagine that? shanks and blackbeard are completely different characters than gojo and sukuna and the context of their fight if it happens would also be different and also JJK and OP are different in their aims and the things they're trying to say.
i don't understand how your analogy here would give anyone any insight into what happened this chapter

I meant. Imagine Shanks( or whitebeard) got sealed/imprisoned by BB back in Jaya.
And then they come back and get anti-climatically beat.Like yes, Sukuna beat Gojo by literally cutting through his plot armor.
But we were told that, we didn't see it.
My comparison comes from the fact that Gojo is on the same level as Shanks or Whitebeard(in their verse)
Gojo and Shanks have both been presented as people you. do . not . fuck with.
Gojo and Shanks have been presented as the people who can end almost any conflict by their presence alone.
So yeah, I don't know how you don;t see any similarities
