The legendary fruit that hasn't awakened in centuries
What is the false-named fruit the Five Elders are talking about?
-
-
I'm voting for Yamato on this one.
If I was the WG, I definitely would tell people that a fruit's name is related to a certain location/country, so it doesnt have to go out and serve its real purpose.
-
I'm voting Shanks knew what he was stealing fruit mainly to provoke.
Could be the ugly dog DF too. God knows it isn't interesting on it's own
-
Unless the part were the Elder Stars talk about the fruits existance being a legend even to them is a misstranslation, I don't see how it can be the Gomu Gomu Fruit. That fruits existance should be pretty common by now, no matter what name it goes by.
I'm not sure which one else it should be but if we go by fake names to hide the real properties of a fruit I'd say Kaido's fruit is s strong contender. Also because a Fish Fish fruit strikes as very counterproductive, what with the entire becoming unable to move underwater drawback of DF abilities.
-
I'm assuming if it was Tama's fruit, it would've received a name in-story instead of being relegated to Vivre Card trivia.
The Toki Toki no Mi would make sense since it wouldn't have emerged due to Toki's multiple-century future hops, but the name already seems descriptive enough, so I'm not sure that is right either.
-
I don't think it would be the Gomu-Gomu no Mi, as wouldn't the Gorosei know Luffy has eaten it by now?
-
I'd say the Kibi Kibi, Toki Toki and Uo Uo fruits are the most likely.
Kibi Kibi: (Pros) May have been the power used to punish Zunesha. We have no idea of its awakening, but it makes sense to be a fearsome power considering it could potentially control any of the titanic beasts in the world. Tama was unknown to the world until she showed up in the raid. "Kibi Kibi" just describes the ability to create dangos, the true name of the fruit may highlight its control over beasts more, like in Solid's theory. (Cons) The fruit name was never revealed in the story, so changing the name has little plot meaning. However, the false name may still be revealed in the story before we learn its true name, so I don't take it as an unsolvable problem.
Toki Toki: (Pros) Was out of circulation for centuries. Reemerged now that the legends about Toki were proven true. (Cons) Toki should know its true name, since she came from the Void Century. No one (as far as we know) has that power now. It's hard to link it to Zunesha.
Uo Uo: (Pros) We know the government had experiments to duplicate the fruit. The duplicate was considered a failure, so maybe it failed to copy its true potential? Also, the fruit was highlighted a few times during the raid, by both CP-0 and Big Mom, indicating it may have some plot relevance beyond being Kaido's fruit. (Cons) The fruit has been in circulation for a while. It may have been in government hands previously, as BM gave it to Kaido in God Valley. It has no connection to Zunesha, unless Momo being able to order it was due to his replicated fruit.
And the ones I doubt the most:
Gomu Gomu: I just don't think it fits to expand the power right now. Any new power would have to explain some of its properties, like being resistant to electricity and blunt force.
Inu Inu (Makami): Unlike the dragon zoan, which may have all sorts of additional powers, I feel the Makami's abilities are fairly well-defined. Plus, Kaido was able to search for and acquire the fruit, meaning it's not that secret or unheard of. However, it may be "Wano's guardian spirit" for some special reason.
-
I feel Zunesha should be an option but whateves
-
I asked at least 3 different translators, there's no mistake in the Gorosei calling it a legend.
Most fruits up there dont fit that criteria, they're instead widely known to the public.
Tama, Yamato and Toki should be the leading options by all means.
-
Or it's Brooks revival fruit. I mean imagine once that one get's awakened. I'm actually still waiting for Oda to go Wanted and have his soul enter other people and manipulate them. But awakening could go as far as reviving the dead (which I really hope will never happen in One Piece).
And I agree that Toki's fruit makes also sense in terms of it being a legend. She pretty much skipped centuries with her jumps to the future so it makes sense that it would be considered a legend as a Time Time user has never lived in qny of those centuries before. Also another question is what happened to the ability after Toki died. Did it respawn in Wano and did the WG just consider the possibility of being there?
-
Luffy shouldn't make sense, seeing as how he's been known from the public eye as well as the elder stars for a long long while, and they have done nothing about it and are only mentioning it now
So I understand why it doesn't make sense
and yet…. The way Oda has been writing lately about fate, Joy Boy's reincarnation, and how Shanks obviously wanted the Gomu Gomu Fruit.... I think that's the direction Oda's going in
Every author makes a mistake here and there, or blunders some logic, it wouldn't be the first time Oda has done tha

We don't know what happened to it, but it may have sparked the discussion because of Toki's prophecy. Orochi insisted that the Scabbards would come back after 20 years, and, while everyone doubted him, it ended up being true. The entire raid depended on Toki's ability to send people forward in time, so the current events may have made CP-0 and the Elder Stars reach some conclusions about it.

Yeah, the way those two pages were framed, it suggests that Zunisha has some sort of fruit, which works out since it stands well above the water. It fits the conversation since it's kinda odd to be talking about most of those other fruits and an approaching island would bring that elephant to mind. Some people are saying the scenes are totally separate in an attempt to mislead the reader, but I mean what else is prompting that elder to say 'impossible, that fruit is a legend' etc.
But of the listed fruits, I'd go with Luffy's I guess. It's been made out to be notable already, this wouldn't be anything out of place. Toki's is the only other recent fruit that comes off as special, and its current status is unknown.

I wouldn’t have thought Luffy’s fruit would ever be the one we’re talking about if we didn’t just find out Shanks specifically robbed the marines for that exact fruit, Or if it hadn’t been heavily implied Luffy is the reincarnation of Joy Boy

That makes sense. I mean even Kaido was surprised that such a fruit really existed once Orochi told him that his spy made a time leap. And with Momonosuke being still young and showing himself to his followers it many people now bought that the ability of time leaps exist. But that'll be most likely covered up to the wide world with Shinobu having made Momo's body older. Even though CP-0 and thus the WG definitely should have gotten the gist of it.
-
I want it to be different fruit but I vote for gomu2 no mi because it feel like it tlis the best choice so far in the story and shonen typically.
Even if it is gomu2 no mi, i hope it will be more about its past history connection like for example it was the fruit used by the Nika or void century Joyboy or any other person that were supposedly erased by the history rather than it being
all powerful or special df.
It think it is quite logical to assume the reason why its name was change is due to its connection to some stuffs that happened in the void century. -
The way I see it, the biggest point of interest about this fruit is that they were able to rename it. Given that Devil Fruits always have names reflecting their powers, that narrows things down a lot. Either the ability or the name has to be abstract enough to withstand that kind of change. But we also have to think about why the Elders are only talking about it now specifically. I'm pretty sure the word they use when they say it "hasn't awakened in centuries" is the same as the word for the ability Awakening, even in Japanese, but I couldn't say if that's significant or if it's just a common term. Those are my two main lines of thinking. What other name could it have, and why now?
Less immediately important is the fruit's actual use and Zunesha. A super-useful ability isn't that necessary because they could be trying to control it as a symbolic thing after it was used by the last Joyboy or whoever. Zunesha could be a red herring, given that the Elders don't seem to be talking directly to the ships outside Wano during the conversation, but given how the scenes are framed, there's still a decent chance the fruit ties into Zou somehow.
So where does that leave our options?
Gum Gum/Gomu Gomu is a tough sell because the name literally means rubber in Japanese, and there's no question about Luffy really being made of rubber. Not after withstanding Enel's attacks. Fish Fish and Soul Soul also don't work here. Even if the Fish Fish name doesn't translate particularly well because we don't have the mythology it draws on, it still makes easy sense for what the fruit is. Yamato's fruit has room to get pedantic about which mythical dog its name refers to, but there's only so far you can take that. You'd be hard pressed to pitch a more fitting name for any of those fruits.
The interesting ones are Op Op and Millet Millet. Op Op's abilities are - to quote the main chapter thread - crazy grab-bag nonsense. The surgical theme barely aligns with half the stuff Law does this it. You could rename it easily purely on the basis of how random its powers are. As a bonus, we know this fruit has some importance to the World Government, after Doflamingo's talk about wanting it to take Marie Geoise's treasure, as well as the immortality operation. And as a final point, Law's showing off its Awakening for the first time, justifying why it's only just become a topic of interest to the Elders. I don't think CP0 has been anywhere they could see Law using its Awakening though.
Millet Millet is an interesting case where it doesn't not fit, at least once you know the tale it draws on, but there's a whole lot of more fitting names you could probably find for it. I don't know the Japanese words for "tame," "control," "beast," or even "enslave," but I'm sure one of them would have fit the two-syllable naming scheme. It's also easy to theorise how it could connect to Zou. But if the Millet name is meant to be the fake one, it's a fun coincidence that Tama also settled on the dumplings in her cheeks to be the main thing to name her ability by and not any other part of its ridiculous strength. Growing up in Wano, isolated from the WG and not terribly familiar with Devil Fruits as a concept, it's not like she would have been hit with (that kind of) propaganda or a doctored book of Devil Fruit names to influence her decision.
There's other possibilities not on the poll here. Robin's Flower Flower ability could take a renaming and still make sense. It might be a misdirect that they're still talking about the events on Wano at all - maybe the fruit is Blackbeard's Dark Dark Fruit, with a real name that better reflects its black hole properties. They could also be doing something sly with the renaming, like the changed name is actually Uranus or something, but don't know if that really works with the story.
I voted "other." There's a lot of hurdles to clear and none of the fruits currently in play really manage to pass all of them. One way or another, Oda's hitting us with some big misdirects on what this fruit is and why it's important. We might not have even seen the relevant fruit in the story yet.
-
My first theory was that it was time-time fruit since that one is absolutely crazy powerful. I mean IMO it's the kind of fruit that makes an admiral out of a vice-admiral. The only reason it doesn't seem that way is because the previous user was well…. quite bad and weak and IMO a great demonstration that the power of fruit depends a lot on the user itself.
However I voted other, since one thing to keep in mind that I think kinda kills most theories is what the fruit was renamed to. Uranus. And I don't see how any of those fruits in poll could be given that name.
Now granted, so far when AW are concerned we have an example where the name completely matches the power - Poseidon, and one where there isn't a direct connection (or any) and that's Pluton. So we can't just draw conclusions from that but my gut feeling is that Uranus ability should match its name.
-
Could someone please fill me in where that Uranus thing is coming from? I must have missed that reference.^^'
-
Could someone please fill me in where that Uranus thing is coming from? I must have missed that reference.^^'
I don't think there's an actual reference beyond there not really being any clues to what Uranus actually is. We've got a name with no object, and an object with a mystery name, so people are guessing a connection.
Personally, I wouldn't put too much stock in it. Rayleigh suggested that the Ancient Weapons were given their names by the same people who hid the One Piece, Joyboy's people, who were presumably enemies of the government.
So the Government probably isn't using Uranus's name to hide a specific fruit.

I believe it's Tamas fruit for many reasons.
The devil fruit in question would have been talked about when the gurosei heard the report of Zunesha.
Zunesha is over a thousand years old, a walking relic from the past, who coincidentally was ordered to roam the seas for an eternity, and could not stop doing so even in the threat of dying and taking all of it's inhabitants with it, meaning even if it wanted to there is something unnatural that blocks his will to act. With Zunesha being a living legend, it is not too far off to think that the devil fruit that once controlled is also a legend, probably they're linked together from the blank century. Since the WG can not erase a devil fruit that they don't know the whereabouts for, they decided to change its name to make it forgotten, so even if someone would stumble upon it, they would not know it is the fruit from the legend that could control a massive beast like Zunesha.
The fake name is kibi kibi no mi, the millet fruit. Compared to other devil fruits which has a food theme something sticks out with the kibi kibi no mi. Tama herself said that her dumplings provides no nutritional value, unlike the fruits of lets says Mochi or Biscuit that actually produces real edible food. How could millet not contain any nutrions?
There is also the instance of where Luffy and Tama compares her dangos to the mochi in oshiruko, but millet is not mochi, mochi is made of rice not millet. I think both these points could contradict that Tama is producing millet. The gurosei is probably not even aware of Tamas existence, they just assumed that her devil fruit has emerged again due to the arrival of Zunesha, and this would make even more sense if the former user of her fruit was also from Wano, most likely a Kozuki that would put in a clause in Zuneshas punishment that only a Kozuki would be able to break the order.
So how would Zunesha be able to communicate with Momo? Due to VOAT, assuming VOAT is a form of haki, it is known to bypass devil fruit abilities, and Zunesha was allowed to reach out to Momo because he is a Kozuki and because the situation was a life or death situation he did so with Momo, and not with Oden when Oden visited Zou for example.
So why would Tamas fruit of all fruits never have emerged for hundreds of years? That also regards to the Kozuki, after the death of the former user the fruit have been kept safe and hidden for centuries, and eventually probably even the Kozuki started to doubt its powers, and it just became one of many treasures kept safe by the clan, until Tama ate it. Given that it is like 99% certainty that Hitetsu is actually Sukiyaki, it's not hard to see either how she would come in contact with it, the fruit along with Oden swords (and perhaps even the road poneglyph) were things that Sukiyaki were keeping safe, after he threw away his name and devoted himself for his role as Hitetsu, Sunachi!
So who exactly is the former user, what is the fruits real name and why is it a legend?….
The former user as specified before should be a Kozuki, and since he was in contact with Zunesha I'd also assume he is the one that made the moon warriors of the mink tribe devote their allegiance to the Kozukis, in the legends he was known as the Moon God insert forename Kozuki and he lived during the blank century. With his devil fruit he could produce tsukimi dangos, moon viewing dangos, that are meant to look specifically like the moon itself.

I had forgotten that we already had characters commenting about that power in disbelief (Kaido and the Beast Pirates in the main stage), which kind of works as foreshadowing for the "legendary" mysterious fruit.
As for who may have it currently… The only possibility I could think of is Hiyori. However, maybe this fruit reveal is meant to foreshadow some action from Toki that will only happen or bear fruit in the current storyline. Remember when the fake Oden appeared and some people were convinced it was Toki's doing? Sort of like that.

That's unfortunally doesn't really answer my question. The previous two posters before my post connected Uranus to this false named fruit. And my question is where the connection between a false named Devil Fruit and Ancient Weapon Uranus is coming from. I've just reread the conversation of the Five Elder Stars at the end of chapter 1037 and nowhere do they say anything about an Ancient Weapon let alone about Uranus specifically. So I was wondering where that connection is coming from.

Might be. On the one hand I really think that someone in Wano would have either the fruit or access to it because of the proximity thing. But then on the other hand Bon Kurei and Bartolomeo ended up having abilities that were previously held by users in Wano. So if it really works like this that after a user dies and their DF ability spawns on the fruit closest to them, then I really wonder how those two abilities made it to the other side of the planet. Especially with Wano being a closed up country.
The only connection would be that the WG has been trying to cover up the name and make the world forget about it, but that also regards to any blank century specifics.
I see. So it's just a fan speculation thing and nothing that was actually mentioned specifically then. Thanks for clearing it up.

This part is all the answer I can see.
We've got a name with no object, and an object with a mystery name
Basically, Uranus has to be something but there's no substantial evidence as to what just yet, and having the mystery fruit's name be an Ancient Weapon's would sidestep some of the issues with a fruit needing to have two names that believably match its powers. At a glance, it feels like a good way to kill two birds with one stone.

Uranus is a human rubberbased slingshot to shot down the moon people.
It was renamed into the gomu gomu because people making your anus jokes.

Nothing wrong with that. Just thought that there was a more tangible reason to it.
-
Little Ghandi, Gorbatjov and the rest of the young star gang used uranus to chuck rocks at old man Imus moon windows, and they had to hide it when he came down to give them an earful. That is what the void century is all about
-
I believe it's Tamas fruit for many reasons.
[…] And the real name of the devil fruit would be… Tsuki Tsuki no mi, the moon fruit.I subscribe to this 1000%. Tama having the Tsuki Tsuki no mi is the most likely answer.
What connects Wano to Zou? - The MOON.
The minks are reminded of their primal memories in a full moon (望月 mochizuki - perfect pun placement for the tsukimi dango) and are able to become Sulong [[B]Moon Lions]. The moon is what gives them strength, what puts them in their best shapes.
In Wano, all the major noble familiy names end with the kanji for "moon" (all except Kurozumi):
- 光月 - Kozuki - light + moon
- 霜月 - Shimotsuki - frost + moon
- 風月 - Fugetsu - wind + moon
- 雨月 - Uzuki - rain + moon
- 天月 - Amatsuki - heaven + moon
(many of these words have their own meanings related to the moon, but I think the point is made)
The song Hiyori plays, Oden didn't know of and Orochi loves is the Moon Song.
The symbol of the rebellion is a crescent moon, going into the full moon (again, mochizuki)If you read about the Tsukimi Festival, you'll see that the tsukimi dango are made to look like the moon. As Solid said, the tsukimi dango is mochi, and not millet (kibi). In this festival, Mochi is being made to look like the Mochizuki, full moon.
All of these can be linked by having the tsukimi dango fruit, in the story: the dango with the power of the moon, being a national treasure of Wano. To make Zunesha pay for its crimes (against the minks/Kozuki), the user of the fruit, a Kozuki, would order Zunesha to wander with the dukedom on its back.
-
I want to say that it's the time travel fruit, it makes sense why would it be legendary and change the name so people don't hunt it down to time travel.
But oda's comment from jump festa, pay attention to the main character makes me doubt it.
-
Actually Ivotas you are right, I jumped to that conclusion, it has never been explicitly stated that mystery fruit and uranus are the same… but why else hide the name of fruit? what other name do you thing that fruit was given?
Again, it's just an assumption that those are the same yet I think it's a fairly reasonable assumption.
I mean, lets say I am right and that fruit is indeed an AW, if people knew it's original name, as soon as someone got that fruit it would be fairly obvious they had the power of AW hence changing its name. And that deceit makes even more sense if the actual island shattering power that earned it that name is hidden behind the awakening of the fruit because then you have the possibility that someone gets the fruit, doesn't know its potential (and others as well) so they and others never awaken it.
-
May be Gomu Gomu was known as Nika Nika fruit. Hence WG wanted to erase that name…

With his devil fruit he could produce tsukimi dangos, moon viewing dangos, that are meant to look specifically like the moon itself.

https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Enel%27s_Great_Space_Operations?file=Chapter_450.png And the real name of the devil fruit would be… Tsuki Tsuki no mi, the moon fruit. This is a Solid (heh) theory allright and i can perfectly see it being correct in the end.
There's only one missing link in my opinion, and that's how the Elders would make the connection of Zunesha arriving near Wano and the fruit being active or awakened. We know for a fact that Tama never had anything to do with Zunesha, so even if we assume that it obeys to Momo because of the order it was given by the original user of the kibi/moon fruit, it's still that user's power that would be in effect. If that same order is what compels the elephant to roam endlessly, the top dogs of the WG would now for sure that the ability itself was still effective non-stop for the last millennium or so, and shouldn't be surprised that it's "reappearing" now. Again, we know for sure that Zunesha being there has nothing to do with Tama and possibly everything to do with Momo, and their connection has no known bond with devil fruits.
All that is assuming the five elders are reacting to the report of zunesh arriving, which again i don't believe to be the case. I'm sure the fruit they're discussing is relevant to Zunesha, but to be fair we don't even know if they're talking about a fruit ability that is on Wano now.
It's also pretty unlikely that they've been informed by CP0 or other sources about tama's fruit. CP0 only saw the ultimate effect of many headliners switching sides, and that could be caused by a very wide range of reasons in this world of crazy abilities. Kaido's henchment were trying to capture Tama due to her power earlier though, so that little bit of intel coud have been going around for a while and just now reached the elders, but it hardly seems a piece of information that would be considered relevant enough to be shared at such high levels…All of that is really more linked to the extremely awkward exposition given by the elders rather than the theory in itself, which i insist is really well put together and plausible.
And it's surely thousands times better that it being the gom gom.

I voted for the Gum Gum Fruit, but now I feel like I should have thought about it some more before voting. (Wish it was multiple choice.) But People in this thread brought some good theories in this thread especially the one about Tama!
Though honestly at the end of the day, I still think the false name fruit is Luffy's, since Shanks took it from the government and it had a lot of importance. It would also explain why in Chapter 1, Shanks was so furious at Luffy at eating the fruit. So, there feels like this might be yet another connection. And for why the Five Elders only mentioned this now? Maybe they always knew, but it came up in more importance as they believe Luffy will awaken his powers soon. There is a possibility that the real name has something to do with how awakening works with the Gum Gum Fruit.
Besides that I also feel like it might have to do something with Zunesha, who mostly likely may have a devil fruit of their own. I mentioned them since that's when the whole conversation even came up. So, it feels like it either Zunesha or Luffy for the more basic thing. But I do like the idea of it being Tama's since there were some good points given about that! That and Law's, as his is extremely mysterious with how his is supposed to work, and it not really fitting with the name as much.
Uranus is a human rubberbased slingshot to shot down the moon people.
It was renamed into the gomu gomu because people making your anus jokes.
Oh my
May be Gomu Gomu was known as Nika Nika fruit. Hence WG wanted to erase that name…
What does nika mean?

Luffy leading the poll makes no sense. I'm triggered people find it okay to turn the gomu gomu into the plot-plot no mi.

Luffy leading the poll makes no sense. I'm triggered people find it okay to turn the gomu gomu into the plot-plot no mi.
Well, like I mentioned earlier I voted for it as it feels like one of the most obvious choice. Though I don't have an issue with Luffy being important if it does come true.
I honestly like… the idea. sweat drop -
It's all about the awakening, right? Considering that even Law's bullshit powers still behave like the very same bullshit only applied directly into your surroundings.
So the implication is that if the fruit awakens, everyone would instantly see the huge disconnect between the previously assumed rules and the new awakening rules.
I think Solid really is onto something - especially with the moon.
My guess is: In truth, the animals don't even have to eat Tama's dango. Instead you only need an object which looks like a full moon. And with that object you can form a controlling pact without them needing to eat or even touch the object. And what better full moon-looking object is there in the One Piece world than an actual real full moon. Which can be reached by the fruit user via awakening to tame and call all the animals on the world who happen to look into the moon.
That's why the Gorosei came to the conclusion that Zunesha was called via the full moon when they heard it.

Yeah, that does make. I'm really liking this theory even if I'm still sticking with it being the Gum Gum Fruit xD

For sure it's Someone that is relevant beyond wano. Like they may only reveals the fruit in future arc. Can't be zunisha because they were talking when cp0 ships didn't even know what they were seeing.
-
Not really.
After the CP agent notices Zuneisha there is a line cutting the left side of the panel, something Oda uses to indicate the passage of time. After that we get the scene of the Five Elders discussing the fruit and a view of Zuneisha over the ships. We could read it as the agent seeing the elephant and (offscreen) informing the Elders and they start discussing the fruit.
The scene where Zuneisha is towering over the ships doesn't have to be simultaneous with the guy spotting him. It could be a few minutes after CP agents saw the elephant approaching and after they reported it to the superiors.Oda likes to leave some things pretty obvious. In the chapter where Komurasaki was introduced he finished with a cliffhanger of Momo saying bascially "by the way I wonder what happened to my sister, she should be older now". So the mix between the scenes with the Elders and the elephant seems to indicate a conection between them. I don't remember other cases of a dual cliffhanger being used in a chapter. A same panel being used for two different and not conected cliffhangers?? Seems weird.
Of course, it could be misdirection, but, as I said, Oda leaves things obvious sometimes. The misdirection could also be to make us thing that Zuneisha is the fruit user, but it's Tama instead.

One of the craziest fruits it could turn out to be: the elder's finding out about chopper's human fruit after someone reported him slapping queen
-
Zunesha ate the Uranus fruit, that's the crime it committed and why it was sentenced to walk the seas for eternity… :ninja:

@Solid made quite a convincing argument back there eh.
You know, now that I put a second thought into it, it actually makes sense that Tama's fruit wasnt named in-story because its fake name is from the WG and the WG simply doesnt have any influence over Wano, no way any of those devil fruit books ever landed on Wano.
I do recall Hitetsu telling her not to show off her powers in front of the Beast Pirates, and unlike most Wano-kunians, Hitetsu seems to be somewhat well informed about the existence of devil fruits.
And I guess this whole mystery fruit leads right into Uranus(?).

There’s also Hitetsu somehow having a teapot mixed with a devil fruit, even though apparently only scientists are able to do that and Hitetsu not calling himself as such.

I think Luffy’s fruit still makes sense. He is the main character after all. Shanks wanted to get his hands on especially this fruit. Someone got punished for letting it slip into enemies hands. And it was said, that they fear the AWAKENING of this fruit. It was always a power that was not as threatening as a logia or stuff, more like a toy. And previous users might not have been able to take it to the extend of a awakening just because of this. But have a look at how far Luffy was able to get with it even without awakening. Most of us are thinking if he awakens it, he’ll be able to change the environment into rubber. He can basically switch the rubber everywhere between being just rubber to be hard as diamond.. Add his haki to this. He can create a two walls and knock every opponent between the two of them till he is done for, no matter the size or the power of the enemy. No one can escape this trap unless he has a stronger power of will - which will never happen because Luffy is just the main protagonist of the series. And to take it to the extreme - he can trap ships in between, multiple enemies, even hole islands.. nothing would be able to withstand this for a long time.

A neat outcome would be if this led to Tama reconsidering her powers. I don't think anyone who learned about Zunisha being forced to wander for millennia thought it was a good thing. Maybe Tama would learn about that from Momo and realize that controlling people, even if they're evil, just isn't right. Or at least that she has an obligation to free them from her control.
