Official Wano Thread

This arc has way too many brain for my brain to keep it straight. I keep forgetting there's a witching boy that's supposed to be thing and Im not sure I could name all the scabbards.
I just keep feeling lost. Maybe since it is embracing the Japanese folklore more the whole thing is just too foreign for me.
-
Zoro deserves the CoC but will he get it? It doesn't make Zoro any less awesome. He is better than characters who do have CoC.
-
Coc is something "leaders" have. Zoro is a follower.

Ace and Katakuri both have it, though.

@Johnny:

Yes. They were/are "leaders".
-
And Rayleight was a follower too. And its really never seen leading anyone.
-
Rayleigh was literally the "vice captain" of the "roger pirates".
-
Rayleigh was literally the "vice captain" of the "roger pirates".
Zoro confirmed to develop CoC then:ninja:
-
-
His official role in the crew is "combatant".
Even more confirmed now.
Nah, he's very likely to. His ambition is similar to that of Luffy that he has to overcome every other swordsman in the world by pure strenght and will. That's really all you need for, he's pretty much trying to be the king of the swordsmen.
And if theres one arc where he's up to awaken it unconsciously, its Wano.If it dont happen here, I genuinely stop believing he's ever going to. After all this is the arc of Zoro:ninja:
Plus note, its weird to me that some random crew that reached Laugh Tale had a bunch of CoC people here and there, and the one crew fated to change the world only has one.

Katakuri and Ace have it, but I understand what he means.
People with Coc are incredibly charismatic, they draw people to them with their mere presence. They have that certain something. Zoro impresses others by performing amazing feats, but he's average when it comes to charisma.
That those super charismatic people are also often leaders seems like a natural consequence, but not a given if the one he/she is working for is even more impressive.
But who knows, maybe Oda will break the pattern and give it to Zoro anyway. Maybe Zoro himself changes over the course of the next months (manga time). Obama wasn't always the guy we know today.

But wwwwhy would you claim a patter while aknowledging Potato Startch and Mr Donut have barely no charistma.
If theres any pattern here, its the one Don Chinjao told to Luffy 'tryna be a king eeh'.And Zoro is fated to be the king of the swordsman, not that theres literally a crown for this, but neither there is for Pirate king.

Yeah. I'm not saying I'm convinced he won't get it but I wouldn't bet on it. He's just not that type of character. He's a Mihawk type character. Do you think Mihawk has it? I do not.

He's more like Oden actually.
Yasu and Hiyori fell to Zoro similar to the Scabbards to Oden, and both Zoro and Oden seemed disgusted by their company and both Zoro and Oden risk their lives for these people. And Oden had it so…

Thanks. You explained better than I could. I need to work on my English.

Yeah. I think we just have a completely different view on things.
-
Or, there just no pattern in personalities by those who have it..
Nothing really burdens Zoro from getting it, its really more a matter of Oda being intended to give him CoC or not.
-
All I know is if Zoro gets CoC and Sanji doesn't Kishido will have a fit
-
The way I see it, everyone that has it so far is either a leader, or has some "kingly" aspect to them one way or another. This includes the presumed outliers: Rayleigh's epithet is literally "Dark King", Ace is the son of the Pirate King and was stated to have that kind of potential, and Katakuri's status among his family speaks for itself, to the point where several are fine with him leading the crew if anything happened to Big Mom.
As for Zoro, one could easily justify being fine with the idea of him getting it due to Rayleigh and Katakuri having it, as well as arguing that it isn't exactly out there for someone that aims to be the world's strongest swordsman to have CoC. Speaking of which, if Mihawk was revealed to have CoC, that would frankly not be all that surprising. I don't think Zoro will get it though, but I wouldn't say it's undeserved or anything if it actually happened.
-
I mean, is not that much a big deal really, so far in the series the main purpose of CoC have been fanservice and Zoro is getting a lot of that in Wano.
Its pretty much proven that he gets people to follow him from time to time, right now that the scabbards surrendered Enma to him, things are already in motion for every Samurai in Wano to become the main fandom of Zoro.

I'd say being charismatic is just one aspect of it. As with many things, it all comes down to force of will and the many means by which it can be expressed and hold sway over others. A better word – although it arguably all comes down to semantics -- would be 'influence" when breaking down the power of CoC. And as we've witnessed many times throughout, there's more than one way to "conquer" multitudes: beauty, cooking, compassion, music etc....with many more instances to come, I'm sure.
So yeah, I myself am expecting ALL of the Strawhats to reveal CoC -- whatever the form it may take -- by EoS at least.
-
Well. You are going to be disappointed.
-
So in the anime, a few more of BM kids appear on the boat trying to get to Wano, most notably Amande and Snack.
I know it's the anime, but I feel this is something they would consult with Oda to know which characters are there instead of just picking them randomly.
-
All I know is if Zoro gets CoC and Sanji doesn't Kishido will have a fit
Bullshit
Zoro is absolutely getting it and Sanji not
No problem with that so stop your shit talking about me.

I wasn’t shit talking you, it was just a joke because of your love for Sanji, it was a joke, I had no intention of shit talking you

Wow. No sense of humor and too insecure. Bad fanboy.

All I’m saying is I wasn’t trying to be an ass, I was just trying to make a friendly joke
I actually like Kishido

Yeah I know. Let's lighten up but maybe not name people. Some people just can't take it.

I hope so
But please stop with it. Some people believe that with my Sanji love I am blind like some other fanboys.
It ain't 2009 for me.
PS
Zoro is my 2nd fav
-
It would be funny if the only actual king by royal blood sanji is the one that doesn't get king's haki from the crew, but that vagabond of a nobody zolo gets it( kawamatsu words).
-
King? Sanji ain't no King. He will never get king's haki. Don't worry though. Zoro won't get it either.
-
If only we didnt have a bunch of characters that aren't kings and have Conquerors…

But Zoro is much likely to be revealed as a Shimotsuki.
Either him or Master Koushiro. -
Imagine how awkward he'll feel when he realizes he's somehow fulfilling what should be Kuina's destiny.

What should be Kuina's destiny?

I won’t do it again, I’m sorry
I didn’t mean to offend you at all
-
Well, if Koushiro is a Shimotsuki, that means she is too, so she'd be a descendant of Wano nobility (perhaps of Ryuma too). In many stories, that'd be the kind of character that would show up to liberate the country from evil and carry the legacy of her ancestors or whatever. But she died, so her vagabond friend is gonna have to do it instead. Well, assuming he isn't a Shitmotsuki too, cause he certainly looks a lot like that one daimyo.
-
Oh. That, Sure. I wonder though if we will even see a strong female samurai this arc. Probably not.
About Zoro… If he is a "Shimotsuki" I want to know why he goes by "Roronoa". What Daimyo does Zoro look like?

Shimotsuki Ushimaru, can't load a picture sorry I'm on my phone.
The resemblance is uncanny tho.

Sorry. I don't really see it but Zoro does seem to have a strong link with "Shimotsuki".

Maybe like Portgas D Ace
-
Maybe like Portgas D Ace
Zoro hated his father so he uses his mothers surname? That doesn't sound like Zoro.
-
Maybe he will get the fox also to stay by his side.
-
Fun fact; "Zorro" means "Fox" in Spanish.
-
It would be so cool if he gets the fox and makes it carry weapons for the crew :D
-

Or it's the other way around and his mother is a Shimotsuki?
-
Maybe he's an unrecognized bastard.
