Just a theory but …
! In many fairy tale like stories the first child or something similar is often demanded as a price. If the translation is right and the wish began with "your" it would at least fit.

It's Emma's bento. Even prime human brains become stale after a thousand years.
I have no idea what her side of the deal could possibly be. It would be a huge betrayal to her character and the entire goal of the series for her to give up any of her friends or any humans in general. Since day one they've always said were gonna save everyone! no exceptions
but…... I can't imagine what she could possibly give the demon king that would satisfy him, outside of tasty humans. I'm seriously at a loss here
Every time I try to think about what the demand will be, I remember that Emma's wish was horrible.
Sung-Joo's smile in that last panel was perfect. I would love to see a well done live action series of this

Iam on board with you on that and would challenge her believe in absolutely sacrificing nobody.
Also a possibility i would be her soul/mind/friendship or her freedom trapping her alone with nothing.
Sonju wants to hunt humans so we may see him go all out on the hunters. Don and Gilda won't like that.
I lost interest in this series by the end of the hunting preserve arc due to both some weird lurches in the plot, but also a disconnect from the cast. Has the series gotten better at giving personality to its side characters? Or is it still Emma, Ray, Norman, Occassionally A Cool Demon, and the rest?

It's focusing on Gilda and Don a little more.
Personally I've been bored with this for a while. I just keep reading cause it doesn't seem like it'll be a long series.
Something the series did really well in the beginning was taking time to really flesh out the central cast, including antagonists. Creepy faces were especially great.
For some reason, the creepy faces haven't done it for me in a while, and I think the author is struggling to make some of the new additions feel worth getting invested in emotionally. The older characters introduced around the hunting grounds arc were great, but most of the additional cast brought in then were kind of lackluster, and I haven't particularly liked any of the new characters since.
The whole demon royalty/subjects subplot is particularly uninteresting to me.
It's still the Emma, Ray, and Norman Show featuring everyone else. I don't care much about the royalty, but I'm loving Norman as an antagonist. He never disappoints.

So that's why we don't know his name because it's…
! Rupeltinsky
So that's why we don't know his name because it's…
! Rupeltinsky
! If that's true, then instead of himself, he tore the world apart.
! If I were Rumpelstilzchen I wouldn't even know what this puny girl has to offer for a wish that pretty much dooms one side of this bargain into extinction? Let's see what it is.
! I would guess future tasty baby? Cause if she winds up with either Ray or Norman that kid will be crazy smart. Or he wants to trade places with her. Or he wants her to stay with him.
I do not read this series and I have no clue of the context, but: If wishing exists in this world, why not turn every monster into a vegetarian?

! The demons are actually life forms that take the characteristics of whatever they eat. If they ate vegetables, they would lose their human intelligence, and Emma doesn't want that.
Ok, how about this: Make it so demons inherit the traits of dead demons. You know, like how human kids inherit the traits of their parents. Or is the wishing limited by arbitrary rules that prevent trivial solutions?
! As it seems Emma agreed with the condition and the promise was successfully changed, but she seems to know that the price will be too high for her family as she doesn't want to say what it was.
I found the analysis quite interesting, thought the content is worth sharing.

! The demons actually already have solution to stay in their humanoid form without the need to eat humans, this solution is most likely came from another wishing that someone made in the past, if you read the manga, you probably know who and what this is.
Some demons also like to hunt humans just for fun, like sport. That's why Emma came to the solution of separating the two world forever. Also, thinking about it, if demons trait are changed, it is kinda the same as erasing all the current demons and replacing them with a whole new creatures with different traits.

Like they should start Cannibalizing their dead?
My opinion is that Emma doesn't want to do anything that will mess with the demon's way of life.
Mostly because she recognizes their sentience and in a way understands that demons eating humans is not different from when she also had to kill and eat animals for survival. Its the cycle of life, and in her world humans are not the Apex predator.
That's why all she wanted was to get her group of humans to the human side, not genocide the demons.

Ok, so problem solved, right? All that's left is the disposal of the naysayers and the collateral damage.
We still don't know what the promise is:

Of course, it hasn't been even a volume.
The queen is such a skilled Edward Scissorhands^^

I’m not an enormous fan of all the demon shenanigans, but I did really find it touching a couple chapters ago when Emma flashed back to Norman being sick in bed. I think it was the first time she realized that his time at Lambda might kill him, and it was great to see that her feelings for him haven’t changed after all this time and all that they’ve been through.
And she kicked all that butt wearing high heels. What a beast.
Anyone else find her eyes just WEIRD?
Sexy demon eyes, with the second highest grade human veal possible.
It is announced that Yakusoku no Neverland going to have a live-adaptation movie on 2020.

That last page… damn.
! Norman's gone through with his plan, so whatever Emma still has in store, his actions can never be redeemed. I wonder how she and Ray will proceed now. And what's the deal with Zazie? Another one of my favorite mangas heading into endgame, man.
Woohoo, go Zazie! Get that bitch!
Seriously though, is all the demons ever think about is meat?
Finally caught up. Read from 147.
! Zazie's face reveal>>>>>>
! Giran's history and how Dozza betrayed him was predictable.
! Watching Norman stand over Reglavalima felt so good. Went from the nicest guy to a cold killer.
I've been team Norman from the start!
Norman such a stu hope the smug bastard dies.
That was a satisfying chapter. We still have whatever promise Emma made coming to the forefront in the near future, but for now I'm glad Norman was successful.
I want all the demons(even the good ones) to die. It would be the most entertaining.
Glad the Queen finally got hers. Emma not making it on time was the cherry on top. Unfortunately, now is when Team Norman becomes full a-holes going forth. Mujika will have to take over but Norman's gonna want her dead too.
Emma can want to save the "innocent" demons all she wants, but there is nothing about the Queen or the nobles that makes them worth saving.
Promised Neverland is getting a live-action movie.
I want to be Norman's shoulder-devil.
The Demon Queen pulling a Pitou?

! For I become Death, destroyer of worlds.
! All the faces she ate and then going faceless. Horrifying. First chapter I'veenjoyed in a long while.
! Didn't lewis die with only one core??
! Hard for me to care for the Queen comeback, when it's just another obstacle before we finally know what Emma's new promise is. It looks dope though.
! The queen is still beholden by the promise to <scribble>, that is probably why she could be revived.</scribble>
! Krone. My old friend.
