@maxterdexter:
Hell, he doesn't even need to be a traitor, just have the common sense of not giving the suicidal warmonger one of the ancient weapons.
Just, who do you think Caribou is ?
You think he's the kind of guy who would go "wow, this Kaido seems too nervous, he'd probably use Poseidon to kill people. phew"
Let's supose that Kaido attacks Marijoa or Fishman Island, they are both very hard targets, but let's asume he gets shirahoshi, and doesn't lose anything big in the process, so what is her rol?
You know, he only has to attack the ship. Not Marijoi.
Also FishmanIsland isn't as hard to attack as you're implying it. Especially for a yonko, he only has to swim there.
Destroy islands before the end of the series?
We will have a glimpse of what Shirahoshi can do. Do you realize that she can't control that power yet ?
What do you expect ? That she'll destroy islands only because Kaido asked her too??
Be the kidnaped princess of the arc?
Yes. We always have one after all.
Escape on her own?
Eventually. But no, it can't happen.

@maxterdexter:
You are assuming that Drake is loyal to Kaido.
What is the point of making Drake the son of a traitor for him to betray the marines as well?
I'm just pointing out that the point of Caribou's mini-story is that the information about Poseidon is "leaked".
Concerning Drake's loyalty. He'll obviously betray Kaido at some point. But Caribou (who has a very similar personality with the other beast pirates) will probably tell Kaido. Did he tell anything to Drake ? I wouldn't be sure about that.
You are proposing that an end game power will be captured by the second to last tier of opponents, when the plot is in collision course with Kaido, and at the very least it will cost him his Phoneglyph, his army, and his wano aliance.
Yes that's kinda what I'm proposing. I think we're closer to the end than we think (in-universe, but we probably have hundreds and hundreds of chapters to go on with), and the Ancient Weapons have to come into play gradually. They can't all pop up at the very end at the same time.
But I don't know how it's gonna happen. I wouldn't say that Kaido will go at Marijois while the SHs will take Wano. As a matter of fact, we don't know where Kaido's base(/main island) is. Is it Wano ? Is this where the poneglyph is ? We don't know that.
I'd be more inclined to say that Shirahoshi will be kidnapped on her way back from Marijoies–- by Jack The Drought. Or just someone else. After all, Kaido himself doesn't need to move his ass to beat up Shirahoshi's brothers.
Anyway, what I'm proposing is that Shirahoshi will be part of the Wano arc at some extent. Because her being an ancient weapon has been "leaked". We know for a certain fact that Caribou (the only idiot who knows who Shirahoshi is) has been captured by Drake. On the other hand, nothing has been ever said about the WG knowing anything about Shirahoshi. It'd be kind of a stretch to assume that they deducted she was Poseidon. And if they somewhat knew about it, I don't get why they didn't send an admiral to capture her before.
Why would they wait a decade and invite her father to the Reverie? Crossing their fingers in the belief that she will one day come with Neptune at the Reverie.
I wouldn't say it's wrong to assume that the WG will get their hands on her though, because the Gorosei probably knows what the Ancient Weapons are. But I'd be more inclined to believe that Luffy will protect Shirahoshi and Fishman Island against Kaido (who will learn about Poseidon) because of Caribou's mini-story.
