I didn't know he supplanted Akira Toriyama, Hirohiko Araki, & Kubo Tite.
Toriyama actually can make very likeable and interesting female characters (Cheelai is one of the best characters he's written in a while). That is until he puts a baby in them. Except Bulma who actually has managed to stay surprisingly relevant and likeable.
I've only seen up to Part IV of Jojo, but, while Araki's character can be pretty cliche and often side-lined, they at least are usually effective in their roles. Plus he gave us Lisa Lisa.
As for Kubo. Well…every character he makes is terrible, so it seems kinda pointless to single out the women.
Kishimoto's portrayal of women, however, is borderline misogynistic.
Oh, and just so this post isn't completely off-topic, I've made it to Corona Kingdom. Really likin' it since Tangled is one of my favorite Disney films to come out in the last ten years.
