The Scaramucci meltdown gets better/worse when you realize that he doesn't actually start his new job until the middle of August. He's only on Day -19 and already going up in flames!

Didn't even make it a week

Wow….Holy crap...

I hope the Mooch and Bannon and Priebus all kill each other.

Oh can it be like this
-
A vote for the skinny repeal is set for around midnight; Paul Ryan has apparently lied to enough people that the House won't just pass it tomorrow that the votes are probably there to get it to fifty so Pence can break the tie.
It does include at least one element the Senate Parliamentarian said would require sixty votes to pass though so who knows at this point?
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
There's also a motion to kick it back to committee as well.
-
Wait, am I reading the reports on the new CBO score right? Forty-three-million uninsured?! Premium increase of 20% PER YEAR???!!!! Jesus Christ what the tapdancing FUCK?!
-
No indications that this isn't passing.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DFxjqj3XUAAoBH-.jpgThe best part is "channeled", because that means he was doing a mocking impression of Preibus lol.
-
So this is basically going to pass, huh?
-
Mike Enzi is apparently going full Thurmond on the floor right now, not even talking about the bill.
-
McCain says Ryan's assurance on a healthcare bill is insufficient
-
I'm hearing this one's so bad even McConnell and Cruz are voting no
N/M this is the vote to send it to committee, but that HAS failed
-
Voting is being held open; if the votes were there at the start, it'd be a done deal.
-
Pence has reportedly left the Senate Chamber but he may be taking a break to go strangle some kittens.

"Um, Mr. Vice President? Can you leave the building for a bit? Whenever you're on camera, this weird demonic being is always shown behind you."
-
Per NYT, McCain is now anticipated to vote No by close sources. This bill likely isn't proceeding.
-
Pence has apparently came back; he ran out of kittens and baby seals.
-
Senate Majority Leader Jimmy Olsen is apparently legit having trouble whipping up enough votes to punt this off to Pence.
-
Murkowski was being swarmed; vote is underway.
Nobody even bothered to try and talk to Collins.
-
48 Aye.
52 Nay.
-
Here it comes in a few minutes…
-
@Cyan:
48 Aye.
52 Nay.
That a prediction?
-
McCain actually voted no and Murkowski flipped back?!
-
No's from both McCain and Murkowski; the bill won't pass. Curious to see how many others jump ship for the 'moral' stance.
-
Maybe mocking him wasn't such a good idea, Donnie.
-
This is just going to keep happening, isn't it?
Hours of terror and then McCain and Murkowski find what remaining atoms of basic decency still linger in the roaring abyss where their souls should be?
-

Hopefully after this the GOP will be out of time and ammo to keep this up. Repeal & Replace, Straight Repeal, and Skinny Repeal have all failed, and come September they can't use simple majority anymore, so that means they'll HAVE to go bipartisan to do anything
-

Trump: "I Call It Operation: Kill All Poor People!".
-
-
Bill fails 49-51. McCain remembers what moral fiber feels like just in time.

I wonder if this will be the signal to move on. This is easily the most embarrassing time for them regarding this.
-
So looks like threatening Murkowski all week wasn't a good idea, Donnie.
-

They had every advantage short of a supermajority and STILL lost. So let's hope.
-
Nor was holding the vote to kick it back to committee first a good idea either.

Heller is a dead man now btw
Why him in particular?
-
-
Why him in particular?
He's an unpopular Senator in a state where the Medicaid expansion is really popular; his own governor was on the record for opposing this bill.
Heller held out to the last to vote and couldn't even manage the courage to vote "No" after it was already dead.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
McConnell is whining about Obamacare but the overall sound of it is that he's just tired of the whole thing.
-
Why him in particular?
Publicly condemned Mitch's Kill Poor People Faster bill, then waffled, then supported it, then voted yes on it when it was clearly dead in the water.
The political equivalent of falling down ten flights of stairs and then landing in a box of glass shards.

The Nevada Democratic Party is relieved that Heller gave them all the campaign material they needed in the span of three minutes.
-
McTurtle's just about to withdraw his head into his suit for a good cry.
-
While McCain joining with Murkowski and Collins will be the big story, the Democrats deserve a massive round of applause for being a steel wall on this. They didn't even try and go after people like Manchin.

No he's just tired of the all disappointment couldn't make Obama a one term president and can't kill his signature legislative achievement with a full majority.

Manchin is the last of the Blue Dogs but he knows when to hold the line. Lieberman wishes he was Manchin.
Behold! The worst Democrat is miles better than the best Republican.
-
I mean, Susan Collins appears to have won the title of Best Republican Senator and she's been pretty intractable for most of the healthcare debacle. She's also voted against the likes of Betsy DeVos this term so I'd say she gets some credit.
And Murkowski might be the real Maverick since she's apparently shielded from Senate seniority repercussions by Alaska's remoteness/weirdness. She doesn't owe a lot of favors from what I understand.
