@Zar:
So in some thread someone (I think it was you, count?) presented a theory that Carrot might be the Zou traitor.
Let's put aside whether or not it's plausible for a second, and think about what it could mean in the future. Let's pretend Carrot or Pedro is actually an underling for Kaido and sold out their homeland. They went with the Strawhats to get away from Zou before the truth comes out. But what if there's an even bigger motive? What if they actually went with the strawhats to steal the poneglyph papers they made?
Imagine it. After the wedding they could easily say something like "hey brook can I look at those papers?" and then run off before the SHs can catch them. Then they go back to Kaido and either try to bribe him with it or simply give him it. If we assume they also copied the Zou Poneglyph that'd mean Kaido could potentially get his hands on three road poneglyphs.
Of course the question whether Carrot or Pedro are traitors is up in the air. It's not 100% impossible but it's hard to imagine sweet Carrot or loyal Pedro to take that role. But it's an interesting theory.
Well… of course. There's not really any other reason why a spy for Kaido would accompany the Straw Hats to Whole Cake Island unless they REALLY like Sanji that much lol. Good point about the Zou Road Poneglyph possibly already being copied! Whenever I imagine either of them going traitor, I keep imagining them pulling a Baratie Nami and stealing either the Thousand Sunny or a nearby ship to Wano Country. I can't see another way for them to escape the island.
It is hard to imagine. Pedro seems to diehard for Sanji's wellbeing to be a spy since he was willing to sacrifice his life against Baron Tamago. Although he IS the one who suggested to get the Poneglyph scripts, and he's actually spent years adventuring out in the sea to research Poneglyphs, and he could have met Kaido before or after catching up with Pekoms. It can still be him, as he may just be loyal to both sides in a complex way. And with Carrot, there's not not really anything to go on when it comes to her somehow making outside contact despite apparently spending her whole life on Zou (although, personally, I think it would be genius to have her act of sneaking on board the Sunny and bribing Bariete be due to being a spy).
I will say this though. If there even IS a traitor, the only way that plot point can be effectively executed is if it's Carrot or Pedro. They're the only Minks, besides the dog and cat rulers, who are actually fleshed out relevant characters that have bonded with us enough to make a betrayal feel like, well, a betrayal. As well as cleverly built-up. Those effects can't be harnessed if it's just some other random Mink nobody remembers.

@Monquito:
so I been over-thinking soo much about this, and I'm certainly not the first and only one.

so we get that picture at half the journey in the GL, and at first, when that chapter came out I was like uughh, dafuq is Shirahoshi doing there? totally ruined the whole thing. and then, we got the reveal that she's an ancient weapon; Poseidon, and that kinda made me happier about it, like ohh! now it looks cool af.
we also got Luffy asking Jinbe to join and the most recent reveal of Sanji being royalty. and so the thing is, it's kinda starting to look like Oda wanted to show us the complete crew(10 people+Sunny, 11) and its most notorious strength along with it, portraying an ancient weapon right there.
and while we do have one ancient weapon confirmed in the picture, there's been lots of speculation about the Sunny being Pluton, or having plenty of characteristics from Pluton, or being 'attachable' to the actual Pluton ship., if any of these theories turn out to be certain true, then. there isn't only 1, but 2, or at least 1 and part of another ancient weapon in the pic, assuming the Sunny it is or is related somehow to Pluton.
then, only thing left is Uranus, from which we have no clues at all. and at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Uranus is too in the picture, most likely related to Luffy but, at least from the entire crew, seems like Nami would have a secret origins story. even tho, I'm more inclined to Luffy.
however, it would be indeed immensely cool, if at some point in the series Luffy and Sunny get confirmed as Uranus and Pluton, and there's been a picture around with the full crew and the 3 ancient weapons since the SH's reached half the way in the Grand Line..
The Ancient Weapons are most likely going to be split between the Straw Hats, World Government, and Blackbeard Pirates in the Final War. There are three of them after all. One for each big faction. Luffy having two or even three Ancient Weapons by his side (at least from the start) is way too overpowered and gives him a narratively unhealthy advantage over the opposition. I also agree with Koliber that it's a bit cheap to have Franky burn the blueprints and all of the meaning behind that be washed away with just "Hey, I can make the Thousand Sunny our own Pluton". I'd rather see him stick by his choice. Plus, the original one likely still exists somewhere. The blueprints were just for building ANOTHER Pluton.
