-
Big Mom swating at flies with her power lol.

-
Bobbin had a smaller bounty then i imagined.

Bobbin had a smaller bounty then i imagined.
Note that Mangastream is also wrong. It's only 105.500 Million.
-
I haven't laughed so hard at a chapter in so long
-
Well this was classic one piece the gag with big mom was very hilarious i cant wait to see it in the anime lol
-
Anime will be good for this.
-
I love how Brook can sleep even in that situation.lol
The spoiler make it seem like the strawhats had an easy time getting Brook away from Big mom. But it took them few tries which I'm glad for.
Nice to see that Jinbe is the one who managed to got Brook (& Nami) out. -
chapter 813
chapter 855
-
Hell will break in the tea party
The downfall of BM's crew is them underestimating the strawhats like how bobbin will go for sanji all by himself now this will be fun to watch :)

-
Bobbin "fixes" things (maybe so well he isn't noticed in the whole scheme). Probably one of Big Moms best assassins. But seems he will be the first person Luffy or Sanji will take out.
Or maybe Sanji will have to overcome him before getting the chance to actually feed Luffy.
-
I actually enjoy the chapter. Brook rescue was so funny.

That tiny Bento is not enough to get Luffy operational. Maybe energy to walk back to the ship.

He'll cook Bobbin for Luffy.

chapter 855
[qimg]http://i.imgur.com/VCWziKz.png[/qimg]Now only I realised what Bobbin meant.
Sanji has to show up to the tea party no matter what as he is invited. He can't disobey Big mom. -
Bobbin's bounty in MS version is wrong. As I told you yesterday in Spoiler thread, his bounty is 105,500,000 Berries.
Bobbin bounty is OK (1億550万 = 105,500,000).
1億 = 100,000,000.
550万 = 5,500,000.Remember, Urouge bounty is 108,000,000 (1億 800万).

It'll be enough, don't worry about how it compares to real world consumption.
-
I enjoyed the chapter. The snap shots of them trying to rescue Brook was funny! I find interesting on how Napoleon can wield a sword. I like the comparison from when WB was sleeping and def. against Ace, it was just too much seeing them overreact over a "fly"!! But somehow I don't like how the whole Sanji meets up with Luffy Situation ended being. Now, gotta reserve myself for the next chapte Oda could have something that will change my mind.
I wonder what kind of ability Bobbin has. Diff. kind of hypnosis? I like the quote he mentions and am interested in the following actions he will take. And wow! Brook with the rubbings! Bad thing is, Brulee and Train dude (I really can't remember his name) know about this fact. And how its going to affect the crew after they leave. Of course everything is going to sh*ts during the wedding but still curious to see the interactions. Can't wait for the chaos!
-
Inside Brooks skull vs space between namis boobs
-
WOW that bed scene was great! Was on the edge of my seat. One of the best in a LONG time!
No break next week? Even better! -
Hum do you really think that when she finally wakes up, Big Mum will think Fake-Brook is the real one ?
-
Classic gag moments made the chapter quite enjoyable. The relative ease with which the crew were able to retrieve Brooks isn't entirely believable and being fooled easily only lessens Big Mom's credit, but the added comical value makes up for it.
On the Luffy/Sanji front, the way each and every one of Mama's underlings thrives to hide problems from everyone else instead of sounding the alarm is becoming disturbingly convenient. That trope was already stretched to its breaking point with Opera and Smoothie, adding Bobbins on top is overkill.
I also don't quite buy how Luffy suddenly looks like he spent a whole month starving in that spot after just a few hours. I am aware the story provides an explanation and Luffy did use his every last bit of strength over the past two days, but the fact we saw him run havoc through the castle what felt like mere moments ago makes his suddenly weakened state too much forced, and the timely reunion too much of a coincidence. So the effect goes wasted on me. I would much rather that he had stayed in that spot the whole time.Good points for the remnants of the Enraged Army to lie there, though. A nice testimony to the hardships Luffy and Nami went through. It makes one wonder, though, how many of these guys were biscuit soldiers or similar artificial creatures, and when if ever does their crew intend to take care of the wounded - some of these guys look human.
-
Solid chapter, however there's one thing I don't like. That is, Brook revealing so openly that he got the Poneglyph writings. Especially with Brulee at others around - this just is stupid. Sure, they cannot do something against it now, but the emphasis lies on NOW, of course.

Anime will be good for this.
With some imagination and creativity, they could stretch it into 2 whole episodes. 3 even.
Well, it was a fun chapter. That rescue was hillarious. I'll try not to think too much on how 4 sheets of paper that big can fit into a human skull.
So, wonder how much trouble Bobbin gives to Sanji and Luffy. Hope this "Luffy incapacitated" situation we've seen so many times doesn't last too long.
-
Hum do you really think that when she finally wakes up, Big Mum will think Fake-Brook is the real one ?
I guess it's really more to trick her while she's still sleepy and before she's fully awake. In order to get as much time beforehand as possible.
-
Reminds me of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Relative ease? They only got Brook back by the skin of their teeth.

Plus her anger at anything that goes wrong will be multiplied immensely since it is the night before the wedding, in which she wants everything to go perfectly.
As for the reunion, it's not particularly surprising that Luffy collapsed right then and there. It's like in many other battle/endurance situations where he uses every last bit of his strength to accomplish his goal, before finally succumbing to his weakness once he reaches the goal.

The Straw Hats have never been particularly secretive around their hostages. Plus Brulee and Diesel have already witnessed quite enough things that will easily set Big Mom off into a rage.
-
I wonder how many will BM kill among her subordinates and children after this arc surely she will be very angry and hell will surely bent lol
-
"Take Sanji back and leave" Why do I get the feeling it won't be that simple.

I won't be surprise if she end up destroying herself.
-
Got some Red riding hood from this chapter. Sanji with his food basket and cape going to that forest again to feed mummy face, grandma, luffy. The dog that attacked sanji is the wolf.
I'm going to keep my prediction that Bobbin will use his ''sleep sleep no mi'' fruit to make sanji and luffy fall asleep and capture them then he will bring them to BM.
-
Looks like Mama is grabbing onto Prometheus before using Heavenly Fire. Wonder what power she can use when grabbing hold of Zeus.
-
This was a pretty funny chapter, I guess we only need Sanji and Luffy now to end the arc.
-
I have this strange feeling that Pekoms is going to show up soon.

Brook n Big Mom anyone ?? LOL.
this chapter is so hilarious
Brook FTW.
lol at zombie like Luffy :p.
-
Must be getting too old for One Piece found this chapter incredibly stupid. With every passing chapter Oda makes a Yonko and her crew look stupid bet that fake Brook fools Big Mom as well.
-
Give Big Mom bad news –> Get soul taken away / die / smashed to near death.
And people wonder why noone is telling Big Mom anything. They actually value life guys, this is strictly Big Moms own fault and for me quite believeable.
-
BigMom has a certain role in this manga. And its not to be fought by Luffy. She is a Yonko but she will be the one who never wins. Who is always furious but never succeeds.
Again: GoldRoger didnt fight her either. He stole and ran away, too. That story simply repeats and that fits well into the whole story. -
@Kaido:
Relative ease? They only got Brook back by the skin of their teeth.
They sure did and it was a funny and enjoyable scene the likes of which we haven't seen in a few chapters. Nevertheless they did not have to actually overcome any opposition and Big Mom remained sound asleep despite destroying half of her bedroom in which 5 different people intruded. A little too convenient to my taste, but as I said the comedic value makes up for it so I'm not going to dwell on this.
It's convenient yes, but we've seen how unforgiving Big Mom can be when she is in a rage.
Indeed. The rationale is good and the motivation behind each character's actions is a perfectly sound one ; still, the same trope is being used to explain every major slip in Big Mom's crew, which makes it tiresome and more difficult to enjoy when the setting falls perfectly in place for the protagonists. With all the opposition you meet, it's a wonder such a ragtag band of mistrustful individuals ever made it to Yonkou status if everyone keeps anything that might go wrong under wraps at all times.
As for the reunion…Well, as a whole everything makes sense but all the running around kinda ruined it for me - I might have enjoyed it more if Luffy had simply kept fighting the enraged army without taking a detour in the castle. I'm probably biased on this though, as I've disliked this particular choice of Luffy right from the start (the idea that he'd stay in that one spot right in the middle of enemy territory, I mean. The decision to starve I'm fine with, that part was awesome).
-
I guess it's really more to trick her while she's still sleepy and before she's fully awake. In order to get as much time beforehand as possible.
Yes but what will happen when she wakes up and she realizes she has a doll in her hands now ?
It means that as soon as she wakes up she knows some strawhat are safe (will she realize all of them are ?). What will be the consequence on the wedding ? I'm really curious about that. -
Must be getting too old for One Piece found this chapter incredibly stupid. With every passing chapter Oda makes a Yonko and her crew look stupid bet that fake Brook fools Big Mom as well.
Well if you expect Big Mom to be privy to every subterfuge plot then you probably are too old for One Piece
-
That was one of the most hilarious chapters I've read in a long time!
I'm generally not a big fan of Brook (he always felt a little underdeveloped compared to the other strawhats, and he's always on the sidelines) but he was priceless this chapter.
Can't wait to get this chapter in volume format. This entire arc has been so good!
-
Nice. So Brook got all of the Poneglyph, not just the Road one. I wonder what the other ones have, content wise.
-
As for Brook, I don't think she'll realise straight away. You have to remember how Brook has been acting ever since he was caught by Big Mam. He's been acting like a lifeless doll so at least to me it's believable that she will not realise that Brook is a fake right away.
And as for her crew, what people have to remember is that most crews before ever encountering the Straw Hat crew, have been having their way for as long as they can remember. And this is Tottoland (Tot Land or w/e). There's no real precedent of things ever going wrong on such a scale like this in Yonko territory. Big Mom is shown to be relentless and even her children would do their best to hide their failures in order to try to fix them before their Mama finds out or is alerted. The only incident we can compare this to is Pedro and his minks' infiltration mission but they were caught and dealt with.
-
I think the reason why Oda's pacing for this arc ia because he never intend for the SHP v BMC and this is all just a setup to the Kaidou arc since I still beleive Kaidou is the first oneto go down as in literally get dethroned from the yonkou status BM will be like Magellan in which we will never see a real fight nor we will see him have a real loss to the protagonist…
-
You know what I got reminded of?
[hide][/hide] -
Wow. It's amazing how Brook managed to avoid suspicion for so long under everyone's noses.
-
i am wondering about the wedding. if sanji and luffy go trough with it, i am kinda hoping that sanji can actualy withstand the bullet that pudding is gonna shoot. that would show he surpassed germa technology, makes all the build up about the gun being good worth. and IF sanji survives that blow, he has fulfilled all promises and actualy is free to do what he wants.
