That was kind of a nice chapter. I'm wondering how far back that war took place. And if the spinoff will fo much more into depth.

I really wanted to know what happened to the previous kings that their sons succeded. They can't be dead after 2 years right?
-
^prolly retired. Even though it would be a tad surprising, seeing how the current kings were unable to return to their respective countries for various reasons not too long ago.
To me the chapter, especially the scene at the grave, felt like Ohtaka was trying to wrap things up, tie up loose ends and so on (eg. mentioning Rurumu's name for the first time in the main manga, revealing details about Sindria's former destruction etc). And it's needless to mention that David's absence and that feeling Sinbad's experiencing right now are bad omen.

They joined the board of directors of the Alliance and let their heirs take over for them. I think Yunan mentioned it while nursing Alibaba back to health.
It's weird none of them has appeared yet, though.
-
So Drakon is Sindria's new king. I should have known.
Who wants to bet the corpse Sinbad is holding in the flashback is Princess Celendine?
-
Damn… I want David to possess Sinbad D: Now he will get a goofy-goody ending with love from all, i really don't want that to happen.
If Sinbad wants people to be happy, he won't unleash the Djinns by any means. My question is what kind of weapon will Alibaba use to fight?
Hope in some chaps the Judal Vs Aladdin!

Chapter 318 Korean scanlation.

Thanks for the false alarm Ohtaka.
-
Kougyoku with that character development, and verbally owned Sinbad.

Where is your God now?!

Uh oh. He's starting to lose it.
-
Okay, NOW we're heading into the ending.
-
MAKE SINBAD BAD AGAIN!!!!
! please don't hate me I know he have a lot of fans I don't read Adventure of Sinbad so I'm sorry.
But seriously, I never liked that guy.
-
I just finished reading volume 17 so up to chapter 168. I love this series so much dammit!! The urge to read ahead… rising... 100000%... I could just read and read for well over a hundred chapters.
I have a feeling I won't be able to resist much longer.

I think you'll be fine if you decide to wait or go for it. There are only about 30 chapters left they say, so within a year it should be completed.

Chapter 320 English scanlation.
Chapter 321 Korean scanlation.
-
So much stupidity.
-
I don't get what the heck happened, but it was cool.
-
So Sinbad accepts that every person must work to create his on future yet he still tries to impose his vision of the future. You know, the aspect of Magi that has never stick to me was the whole vague discussion on destiny and fate and this ending we're walking through is not doing wonders for me.

Chibi Arba is too cute I seriously wanna adopt her.

At first I thought Sinbad was simply different than David but it's quite possible David started off more or less the same. Then gradually turned into a madman. When we first see him he's already quite older than current Sinbad. I guess falling into depravity left its mark on Sinbad.
Still, I might be more sold if I first read that part in Adventure of Sinbad. Ohtaka could have timed it a lot better, I think. Seeing what happened in the past and retroactively judging Sinbad with different eyes just won't have the same effect.
-
The fault falls on the great mother, she poluted Sinbad's mind and grew his necessity in living the utopia.
! Sinbad Vs Ugo!! I want to know Judar's location, maybe he's in the palace. Him or Alibaba will have to rescue Princess Sinbad from a delusional dream
-
Oh look, the usually calm and plotting Sinbad turned into a stubborn cliched villain. Yay…
Just end the story already, Ohtaka. It's clearly gone on for too long at this point.

Actually if he forever stayed that way it would have been poor writing. His panic, his stubbornness are giving his character more human touch…

Interesting point you make there. And it would hold a lot more weight if Sinbad was 20 years old (ie. young and inexperienced). However, he's over 40, has seen and in fact experienced it all and knows better than that. Sinbad's established his goal, he's achieved the alliance he wants and he's been leading it towards the "right way" (from his POV at least) till Alibaba came along and changed things. How does Sinbad react to that though?
By analyzing the situation, thinking it through with his trusted companions, bound to find a solution by virtue of experience as a tradesman and leader? No. Instead he listens to a little devil Sinbad's been hunting for the better part of life, letting it whisper all kinds of lies into his ear, throwing away virtually everything he's painstakingly established. And what's the worst part? He betrayed Ja'far, Sin's most loyal subject and- more importantly- friend. But sure, let's call it "adding human touch". ;-)

I just hope that Adventures of Sinbad doesn't end up like Magi has. I liked both so much, but Magi has definitely lost a lot of its enjoyment.

I don't see a problem with Sinbad's new way of action. Specially since we have AoS to criticize it.
He said it on the chapter, the young man shipped on the tides of the sea of destiny achieving his goal while denoting his awesomeness to people and creating fans that from that moment exclaim that he's the only one able to change the world… a beautiful brainwashing if you ask me. Which turns to be worse when he became slave, he began to feel anxious cause the lack of success and changed to the motto of 'the end justifies the means'.
He eventually meets Al Thamen, gets somewhat their plan of turning everything into the black Ruhk, defies them till he founds the necessity of being king along with a Magi, watches Alma Torran's history and knows David, avoids war while getting more people to his side and creates utopia thanks to David's help. He's a mere pawn cause the entire series he's been manipulated and since the moment Mother Dragon said that he was David's conection to that world, has been obvious his development and i find it cool... the shitstorm will come when he gets evangelized, hope he gets killed.

322 is kinda out.
! And we finally see the last 3 djinn equips of Sinbad.

What happened to 321?

What happened to 321?
People forgot. They've done it now though

Weird decision to strip Sinbad bare while his own manga still has his character developing.
-
I have yet to read 322 as I'm waiting for sense's version but from what I've seen so far- that particular answer the manga gave to those words of mine- I'm honestly… surprised. Explaining it all by simply saying that Sinbad too is a normal human being, capable of being greedy like everyone else, more so, citing said greed as the reason behind all his actions is... Hmm, I suppose I need to read 322 first.

Chapter 323 English scanlation. Poor translation warning.
-
Well that was something.
-
That was…disturbing.
-
Mother… I am very interested in the next chapter.

Oh my . . . . . . . .

Me after reading
-
That's too quick…....
-
Good! Just what i wanted with the sailor!
Now, some popcorn to witness something like the Kubo Vs Aizen.
-
….
Well.
Uh..we ran out of villains and any way to shoehorn in a last big fight so I guess this will do. -
This reminds me of Orochimaru popping out during Itachi vs Sasuke.
Things are kinda going too fast. Might sound silly, but I'd prefer David's long con was described in more detail.
Oh, right, poor Sinbad. I don't think him being played like a puppet like this can be excusable in any way.
Have fun reading on Sinbad and not imagining him as a roasted head and torso. :ninja:
-
I like this.
It's nice the good guys already having preparations for problems occurring due to bad guys. Like Aladdin, Morgiana and Hakuryuu dealing with Gyokuen
-
Huh…Can something be both epic and underwhelming?
-
This series is just the worst. It just killed off its biggest character in two chapters in a meaningless rushed conflict that was apparently the machination of some master plan (which apparently was also meaningless because it was part of somebody else's plan?). This series is just a sloppy, rushed, mess at this point that has long lost sight of its themes and goals, just let it end already.
