Why did they put this first before One Piece? I don't care. I'll read the hell out of it anyway.

Acacia was the coolest guy.
Dammit, you beat me to it.
Bullshit and nonsense, and Torikos fucked up moral compass striking again.
"Be it someone virtuous or evil…their appetite alone...will be absolutely pure...and so beautiful and lovely that it hurts.
That is why Neo..could not possibly stand against your boiling rage and anger, Toriko"
WHAT SENSE DOES THAT SENTENCE EVEN MAKE
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Why spend the entire finale making neo a creepy abomination and acacia a royal dickbag only to redeem them instantly
why make anger the central tool for defeating the villain if the hero never emotes
Cuz, reasons man. Reasons.
Oh my god. What the hell happened? Why are they all bros now? Blue Oni really wanting to eat Neo and food literally burst out of Acacia. Ok, that's cool.
Food brings people together, both good and evil. :ninja:
What happened? There was a fight. Now, a pity party for the main villain who was setup to be irredeemable. I don't understand why the audience has to feel sad for Acacia. It's so forced and awkward.
Toriko: I got a feeling so complicated.
Seriously though, I was confused, yet also laughing this entire chapter from how ridiculous everything was. Toriko's fast pace worked well for building up small scale stuff and conflicts. The way it handled all this made this ending just a really strange thing.
Seriously, I can barely comprehend what happened here.
There was this huge, complex plan to use the Full Course to completely revive Neo so he could be completely sealed or something, but also Acacia found out that Neos weakness-ingredient (?) was rage, so his masterplan was to go along with plan A, be a total dick when old acquintances happened to show up, kill said acquintances, hope that other acquintances would also show up and get mad at him and kill him, and Neo getting killed with anger would make everything better somehow.
Considering how little the mangas characters were emotionally affected by Acacias wanton murder and assholishness (save Midora, in probably the most effective moment of the climax), its almost as if Acacia is speaking directly to the readers.
"Yeah, so I realized the final battle was confusing hot garbage, so I took it upon myself to inject some emotion into the proceedings. My goals were so nebulous that they were pretty much unsalvageable, so I compensated by being a momumental shitstain. Now that I am defeated, my burden of being someone the readers could root against has been lifted!"
funy thing is..nothing of the absolute horrible things acacia did managed to make toriko angry..it was put inside him by the nitro guy
acacia's "plan" did jack shit
And what was even the point of undermining Neos threat level by having everyone constantly regenerate, if Neo was gonna barf up everything again anyway??
Yeah I just can't understand what the hell happened either, that was really bad.
Everything Neo eats can never be revived…unless he spits it out yay!

So Acacia figured out things Neo ate weren't dead or erased but are living inside it's own dimension/appetite. After that he figured out the way to put stress on NEO so he would burst out all the ingredients it ate. And not die/revive like it generally does as a Gourmet Demon. This whole plan was this. And it seemed like only Pair had any idea Acacia would go with this plan. Other BNs just wanted to seal Neo without giving any fucks it might be possible to revive all the things it ate.

I wanna read this with kewl's translation too.
Maybe that's why Neo had the biggest appetite, he never actually digested anything.
This chapter was dumb. What's the point in having honorable Acacia now? I need to edit out my sig and pretend I never liked this series. It's been terrible for a long time now.
Well, I enjoyed the chapter, because before I recently rewatched anime scenes from Toguro (YYH) and so to me it was interesting to see that Acacia turned out to have similiar life story to his. Beign actors right to the very end solely for the puprose of attaining their goals.

Sunny doesn´t really deserve it though. Dude has been pretty much flawless through the series and he was barely featured in the clusterfuck that was the last Arc.
I prefer this explanation of Acacia's goals to him being a simpleton that wants to eat and gain power.

Yeah but as much as I kiked Sunny. He's not been able to do anything. Same can be said for the majority of the cast. But I'm wanting to cut ties with this. Him and Death the Kid don't get to stay in rank S any more lol.
What…what happened???? I came back to be sure Acacia was indeed a good guy when Toriko stated he (Acacia) wanted to be hit by 'angry attacks' cause of Neo, but this is way too much. If Ichiryuu was an asshole back when Midora lunched his Meteor Spice all over Human World, how could you describe Acacia with his risky (yes, only a little, though...) plans???
And now what will go on after that? Why is Toriko's Blue Demon so happy? And what about "Blue Ingredients"? Oh my, maybe this is not the end of the series...
EDIT: the author stated that the battle between Acacia and Toriko was long...really???
Acacia having a plan at all gels terribly with what was actually presented on-panel; namely, the fact that he barely did anything to further his "plan" before the last possible moment. Acacia being alive, having Neo, working with the Blue Nitro to cook the earth etc is all extremely new information as far as the mangas characters are concerned, and people barely interact with him prior to his last-second cataclysmic defeat! His "plan" was only in effect for the total sum time people were fighting him at the very end!!!
Beyond that, the ridiculous pace kills any sort of emotional response to these reveals; the status quo is so unstable, new info is dumped so frequently, that it all becomes a disorienting clusterfuck of "AND NOW, THIS!!!" Nothing gets to sink in, so nothing feels like it mattes.
now it's time for space cosmic and extra WTF adventures :ninja:
Acacia and Pairs masterplan of deception:
Daz is so dumbfounded that he can even resume his thoughts into one concise and witty post as usual.
That´s how fucked up this chapter was. It broke him.
…What happened?
…What happened?
the bad guy fused with a greedy little monster and had a figth with every body, he ate them all in half, but he had a weakness, you had to be mad at him, the the hero Toriko beat him like that and then actualy he was not so bad so it was sad for most people because his appetite cells were so pure or something… but now the stick of flavor is broken and there is some flashback and some people are dead but come back as spirit to knock the planet explosion but I didn't follow were is the big frog now
I really, REALLY wish that somebody can have the patience and editing skill to make an Acacia version of this:
!
…What happened?
At least on some level you had to have guessed this might happen. He goes from revered food sage who is only remembered fondly by his family members to complete womanizing jerk who wants only to satiate himself, and there is no doubt in your mind that his sudden change in personality is an act?
At least Jirou came back…Kinda.
This ending made Naruto's look like a masterpiece. For a year or more it's been rushed like crazy.
Someone can explain to me what's the white demon inside Toriko?
nope .
I don't even think we know why the Blue Demon is around in the first place, let alone the White Demon lol.
It at least was set up over a volume ago, so at least is not a complete asspull.

Either way White only exist to put Neo in his place.
Someone can explain to me what's the white demon inside Toriko?
I'm pretty sure it came from the golden can that he ate from just before God showed up, so it was something that had been sealed away like Midora was. Though its identity is still a mystery, and it seems to be little more than a deus ex machina to make it so Toriko could beat Acacia, kind of like the Final Getsuga Tensho in Bleach or the power-up from the Sage of Six Paths in Naruto.
Wasn't that white demon on that cruise ship in the spirit realm that Komatsu saw while he was tripping out while searching for ANOTHER?

Me i thought that it was the purest apetite when Toriko and Starjun were left alone. Let's see if they explain that.
Yeah, of course, Acadia was a good guy, all along sure why not =P. I would say I'm surprised but this was so clumsily handled, I honestly don't care anymore.
So is it over? Or do we still have to take care of the Neo remenants?
The question is: Toriko is ending or they will start a new arc?
They could always go to space, I think.
The manga will end it with they entering the Space Clam.
Why would shima continue after dragging this series into the ground? How can people claim that the series would continue after Toriko ate GOD (his goal) and filled his menu (all gourmet hunters goal) and saved komatsu?
Why shueisha would let shima continue after the rankings and managing to get the series to a serviceable ending?
Toriko has just saved the entire planet, and by extension universe by defeating Neo. His super secret Twin Brother and Famous Daddy have been revealed and dealt with. I know the latter in particular was a bizarrely underwhelming footnote in the grand scheme of things, but still, thats all classic end-game stuff.
Jeez, this manga is limping to the finish line. (even more than before I mean)
It looks like Toriko possibly going to end on Issue 50 of Shounen Jump (if not, then it'll end on Issue 51).
@Kaizou:
It looks like Toriko possibly going to end on Issue 50 of Shounen Jump (if not, then it'll end on Issue 51).
It will most likely be 51. Toriko needs nine chapters to complete a volume. Volume 41 ends on chapter 378. If we assume that Volume 42 ends on chapter 387 by having a minimum length of nine chapters, then Toriko at the least has to end on chapter 396. A double-sized chapter finale can switch things up, but I doubt that will occur if Bleach couldn't get one.
