Pence's actual points are terrible, and he's dodging all the questions, but he IS coming off as the better speaker of the two.
Like, Kaine is pulling up some of Trump's negatives again, but he's using the same examples he just used three minutes ago. It just makes it seem like a rehearsed talking point. Especially considering there's literally HUNDREDS of Trumpisms to choose from.

Pence is winning this, issues and answers be damned. I don't like anything he's saying but the WAY he's saying it is way better than Kaine. He's dominating this part on foreign policy.
Kaine is trying too hard to thump Trump, and not praise the highpoints of Hillary and her plans.
After half an hour of this, I gotta say, if Pence was running at the top of the ticket, he'd have a good shot at beating Hillary and this would be a much closer race regardless of qualifications and ideologies. .

Shut up about the tax returns Kaine. Yes, its important, but stop bringing it up every three minutes rather than talking on the issues. It makes you look petty and like you only have two things to talk about rather than the hundreds of actual points, and makes it really easy for Pence to deflect the things he isn't answering.

To be fair it was probably his most relevant attempt to bring that up, as it is at least tied to foreign donors. Unfortunately he watered it down by forcing it so obviously earlier.
