yeah, also what i wondered. that'd be great it the authors were commenting their manga instead of pointless stuff

Oda's probably surprised about Kochikame ending.

Probably Oda is surprised to hear that Kochikame will put an end to its 40 years' serialization this month.
This news got released yesterday, but I guess Oda has known it before.
If he had explicitly mentioned Kochikame's ending in author's comment in Weekly Shonen Jump, this news would have been leaked by illegal scanlations before the official announcement, which is why he didn't bother to specify the reason why he was shocked.
Unless Luffy still has something under his sleeve, or Cracker has a weakness that gets exposed, there is no hope.
And Doflamingo doesn't look so impressive now. Guess that's just the difference between Yonkou and their high ranking crew compared with every other pirate.

He's talking about Kochikame. Hardly pointless.

Cracker's hate for pain could be the key for defeating him. His armors can tank g4 attacks, but let's see how he tanks those attacks. With very few enemies that managed to break his armor, he likely didn't get to experience pain many times. His scar could be the only time he even got hit.
I thought I was gonna like Cracker because he looks kind of one of the few trolls in One Piece but, just remembered what he said about Sanji and angered Luffy. and nope, a good troll is independent. not a sassy kid from 4chan.

i meant, that, authors usually speak about pointless things like "hey I've eaten a burrito yesterday, very good" instead of saying stuff like "hey I enjoyed drawing the page in which… " or just something not pointless. well either way,i was saying that this time, Oda didn't say something pointless. ( he didn't the last time too, and the one before also ).

So Luffy has just keep doing what he's doing? XD
Nami should just make a rain cloud and make his Biscuits soggy
Yes, Cracker has been pretty impressive thus far, but I wouldn't throw around stuff like he's stronger than Doflamingo easily because that's really debatable. The only thing that Cracker did better was hurting Luffy in Gear 4, and that's from a sneak attack with a legendary sword. It's pretty hard to just invalidate Doflamingo's feats in the war (where he's eager to take on Jozu, another Yonkou commander, and it's looking that odds are in his favor on that moment) and Dressrosa. In the anime, Doflamingo's God Thread even pierced Luffy's King Kong Gun, but yeah, that's padded scene is rubbish (and absolutely non-canon to me!).

Devil fruit weakness has been a very weak factor for many arcs now. Especially, not against a powerful guy with Haki.
@John:
So, are you saying this whole forum is pointless ? hey, i'm offended and so is this forum. i'm sorry but I have to ask for your banishment. very sorry, just following the protocol.
Haha. I just think its funny that somethimg as simple as a man capable of controlling biscuits and make them animate is what riled up so many people. Many people are okay with people controlling gravity to unrealistic levels and other natural forces yet a biscuit man is what tickles people's bs. Yes, everyone here has bs no matter what sex you are.
The opinions of this forum arent pointless. The point of the forum is to discuss the comic and other things.

That scene was awful. The manga made it completely clear that King Kong Gun was far stronger than the God Thread, and blasted it away, but they decided to make that scene a Kamehameha battle. Like what the actual fuck?

I imagine that water would be quite a weakness for Crackers devil fruit, with some fishman karate expert like Jinbe it could be difficult for Cracker to keep his armors hard.
I do have to say that the Bisu Bisu No Mi shows that the Doru Doru No Mi could be very lethal if Mr.3 honed it even more. I do wonder if Mr.3 has gotten stronger since Impel Down, and has tried to become New World material. On the other hand, he might not because he's now riding on Buggy's reputation and doesn't need to fight as much. I do say that the Bisu Bisu No Mi has to be one of the more creative recent powers that Oda has come up with. And it shows that any power in the One Piece world can be used in many creative deadly ways.
I agree as well, that water could be the thing that could take Cracker down.
Water Luffy is the solution.
I also like that Oda mislead us about what we thought Cracker was going to be like. At first it seems his fruit was going to be similar to Robin's and be a easily knocked out big guy, but low and behold he's actually a strangely attractive man who just uses his biscuit powers in a very creative way.
To me, Cracker is like Kurohige. Although the yonkou has eaten a Logia fruit, he still takes damage when hit and his only way to defend himself is stealing his enemies' abilities, and Cracker needs the biscuit armors. We know that Luffy loves food, although he likes meat more than biscuits. I think he will eat the armors so that Cracker can't create more.

Double funny because this whole series is based on making your food your weapon (devil fruit) if you really think about. XD
Doflamingo's hardly weak seeing as how he tanked an extreme amount of damage yet managed to drive Law and Luffy to their absolute limits. But it was established very early on that he greatly fears Kaido, and pales in comparison to a Yonko.
Make of that what you will.

It seems a bit unlikely to give him such a weakness that a single punch would take him down.
After all he charged into Luffy, after his dolls dodged that Kong Gatling^^
But would it really matter how much pain he exactly could withstand , when he gets hit by gear4 without protection almost anyone would go down.

I honestly think he'll be one-shotted (by a Gear Fourth attack that manages to hit him). Otherwise, I don't understand why Oda would've brought up how Cracker can't handle pain.

I think Cracker is like those people who over react to the slightest amount of pain. Most of the time people are exagerrating but for Cracker, its literal. I use to hate getting shots too. The shots dont really hurt but when youre thinking about it and freaking out, your mind tends to amplify the amount of pain that needle is gonna cause you. Its a simple prick but some people just cant stand it. Its psychological really. Your body can withstand much more than a needle going into you.

I'm wondering if his aversion to pain will make him angrier when he gets hit, thus making him more dangerous.
Pain and Damage are two different things.
Something like that makes me forget how I'd like for Zoro to fight Cracker.
You really are talking, specially when Cracker is an opponent for Zoro to defeat.
When Ha starts, the year of Zoro will be on us.
In this week we can talk about how Zoro is stronger than Luffy or what a fail is that when Luffy is cut, it bleeds and the air does not escapes the arm.
Pain and Damage are two different things.
Depending on how someone's sensitivity to pain is, it can make one faint/lose consciousness. Which depending on the situation can be just as bad as severe damage.
Didn't read the whole thread so this may have been mentioned, but does anyone get the feeling sanji chopped his hands off from that panel? If I'm remembering correctly weren't they cuffed or something?

Those handcuffs don't have chains. Besides his hands are still there.

having the cuffes explode on his haki coated arms is better than cutting them himself

Yeah it's a lot better to have his hands damaged beyond use, or better yet blown into pieces, rather than having them cut off and reattached.
Although nothing is going to happen to Sanji's arms.
@Kaido:

How does he plan to reattach them although sanji is just scared of his brothers
Idk, try the explosion with coa or just cut off the hands is like last options he has.
The most ''safe'' for now would be if Sanji goes on one of his mister prince mission and steal the keys from big mom's neck when she is sleeping.
@Sang:
What makes you believe that ?
After knocking out Dofla the first time, when asked by people why he doesn't stop bouncing, Luffy says he can't.
http://read.powermanga.org/read/one_piece/en/0/786/page/4
It's not clear if Luffy means that he can't stop bouncing in G4 or that he can't stop G4 once it's activated. However, since it's a pretty powerful move in which he molds a shitload of Haki, it would make sense that he can't just jump in and out of the mode. Besides, he kept using it even though Dofla looked beaten. there were a couple of moments before he realized cage was still up. So at the moment, I think that he's stuck with it once he activates it, until he drains his Haki.

Funny thing is that I also thought that we should get to see fullbody gear second again and how fast it now is. We seen glimpse of it against Smoker in Tashigi body, it could be good to manouver between Cracker Biscuit soldiers. Luffys smaller, more dense body should be less vounerable to cutting as Luffys body would not be stretched out.
As for finishing move- for third time - snake shot, doulble would be bedst, followed up by Kane finisher.
@Myu:
Problem is Luffy was blazingly fast against Doflamingo in G4.
I'm referencing this page http://www.mangapanda.com/one-piece/784/11
He was fast, but he was limited to using Geppou in the air because his bouncyness causes problems on the ground. I feel he would have more freedom of movement in G2, not to mention he'd be a smaller target.

I just miss Zoro fighting a strong swordsman his own size, with an ability that can strain Zoro. Pica was shown with a big sword in like one panel.
I guess most of the air is inside the bone. The cut isn't really that deep when you compress it to Luffy's normal arm size.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Luffy is unable to evolve from his simplistic fighting style and the enemies are topping Doflamingo's bullshit powers (whats next? A tofu paramecia that can create tofu nuclear bombs?)
That made me giggle.
Seeing how we probably won't see Cracker's full extent of powers, I wouldn't be so sure he himself can't make cookie biscuit shrapnel bombs or something like that.
Well Leo can use the ability of his fruit to reattach Sanji's hands.

Yeah G2 doesn't use much energy and Luffy can activate him when he wants and it's fast. If Cracker is fragile, I think Luffy would defeat him with this gear
@Kaido:

I thought the same thing. Even if he said he despises pain that doesn't necessarily mean he cannot tank it. Getting furious and losing control and a clear mind is a possibility. Because the idea of a Yonkou commander losing to just some pain is silly. The way I interpreted it it may very well be that scar or some other experience shocked him and left him psychologically averse to pain but there's no way he can't tank a strong fighter or he wouldn't be a commander.
So fight was skipped to next day.
Maybe the reason was so the surprise of cracker's defeated body landing on BM's lap when she exchanges gifts with vinsmokes will be even bigger( for us too, not just bm)

I think he wasn't really beaten to a pulp. There's a higher chance Chopper figured out how to trap both him and Brulee inside mirror world, before breaking all the mirros from inside and then the last one from outside.
That way, Brulee and Cracker are out of the picture until someone brings more mirrors to WC.
Perhaps Brulee was defeated by Chopper and Carrot, but I think Cracker has a Den Den Mushi and was called by Big Mom to be prepared for the wedding and the gift exhange because he is the Minister of Biscuit and a Commander, so the fight was not finished. If he is going to be defeated, I bet it will be just before the wedding.

Because, biscuits don't exist. But okay, we've already seen some fucked up DF like Jora's art DF but this time, this isn't some pointless character BUT a youkou commander. Which means we're going to see him for a long time (probably) with this ass-pulled DF.
what's newt ? burrito burrito no mi ? tacos tacos no mi ?

Asspull? It was more of a Twist!
First we thought Crackers Fruit would be similar to Robins Devilfruit.
But we all were mistaken and Oda showed us the true Power from Cracker.
Crackers Fruit is like a custom, made for this Arc.
Crackers fruit fits in this Arcs theme as good as Brulees or Perosperos Devilfruit!
The same wilg goes for Kaidos Crew, Mammoth for Jack, T-rex for Drake, and say we as a speculation sabertooth for are a other Commander.

We don't know what the nature of devil fruits is, so you can't tell which powers make sense and which don't. It all depends on what they really are and how they came to this world.

as I've already said, it makes absolutely no sense for this DF to exist. it's cool and fits with Totland but still doesn't make any sense. same about perospero but don't care about him, Cracker is the one fighting right now, not him.
also you didn't say anything about his DF in itself, but just that it fits with Totland's theme.
and yeah, Cracker trolled everyone with his DF, it was cool. the WG doesn't even know what he looks like. i liked it. but that's all,
AND, don't get why someone with a biscuit DF is hiding his true identity so well while Bentham, the guy that can literally change his appearance doesn't.

Unlike Mr 2, Cracker probably never got caught. Plus he has to fight in his original body.
What is the limit on devil fruits? Like what would be the problem of having a burrito burrito no mi, he would probably wrap you and it would stink from chilli. Nom nom.
But seriously, what is the extent to which something is okay, and others are not.

There are no rules for Paramecia, it's anything goes.
Logia and Zoan fruits seem to have set boundaries, with the former being an "element" associated with a force of nature and the latter with an animal.
The Grand Line Review is out!
For the heck of it: the Viz version's released and named the chapter "Chobro"
Also I noticed something in the final page spread I hadn't before now (but may have been mentioned already): Sanji's eyebrows curve in the opposite direction of all of his other siblings.
