@Chrior:
Yeah, sure, mate. Oda designed Jinbe to be part of the Straw Hat crew back in the 1990s but since he started watching Game of Thrones last year, he suddenly decided to kill him. That makes total sense. Keep telling yourself that it makes as much sense as any other thing. Yes, characters will die before Luffy reaches One Piece. Their name is, most likely, Shanks and, most likely, by Blackbeard's hands. We had 2 deaths in the present story in the entire series and they provoked Luffy's breakdown and the timeskip. What the hell would Jinbe's death accomplish in this arc when the build up for the big bad is against Kaido and not Big Mom? What the hell makes you think such a thing? What death flags do you see when other people only see new SH crewmember flags?
Jeez.. how dense..
When it comes to Jinbe joining I will use example from my own life- some time ago I was given a chance of opening real estate agency with my own name and responsibility. All thanks to investor that strongly believes in what I am capable based on few years of experience.
I said that first I have to solve a number of things/issues with my life being unable to say no right away as it was very big life changer for me. I postponed my answer and said that we should back to subject after around a year when I sort out stuff and get ready to start. Year passed and in meantime I already had a job that I was really happy with. So no real estate agency happened in the end, I didnt felt it since start and I stalled for time.
For me it feels similar when I think of that with Jinbe decision - he partially agreed and asked for time to solve things that tie him to some other people. In my opinion he partially stalled for time and that might very well be reason why he will never really Join Strawhats in the end. Possible reasons being - he will end up crippled or dead. Thats my speculation based on obserwing character decisions. It feels as life-like as Bellamy inner conflict when it comes to Doflamingo and If I will be right with Jinbe it would mean that Oda succeeded to add into story some more of elements that make his characters humane.
Also we have scenes with Jinbe like this one
!
or this from earlier
!
where it looks TO ME like Jinbe is pushing bigger value onto greater people or their well being than on his own life. If Oda would make a scene where Luffy is about to die and Jinbe could save him, sacrificing himself we would call those scenes foreshadowing I would say.

@$;3645683']I find it funny how people pull statements out of thin air like "Jinbe will die" and when asked for proof, conveniently ignore the request and provide bullshit reasoning saying "Game of Thrones" and ignore the purpose of Ace's death and timeskip and when criticized for the same start crying aloud saying "cool down", "teen mentality" etc.
How is it funny and who exactly is ignoring what ? Elaborate please.
