Well, the action part was nice. Mashima can do good work when he feels like it, and he managed to draw one person being overwhelmed by 3 others decently.
And damn, that first panel. That had to hurt. Look at her land on her boobs, on a dry wood, sliding forward. The friction alone… :/!
The forced fan service part… not so much.
Making enemies disappear... It makes some sense if the creations are fed by person's mind. But what's with the name dropping again.

Ikaruga, she fougth erza way back in the tower of paradise, her sword can cut any magic, so erza had to figth her with mundane weapons and the nakama pants.

I was more thinking of Stain from Hero no academia. It's a trope used quite often and I think it worked well considering they were projections. Them having a moment of doubt or losing their will to fight themmade them disappear.

This might just be the worst Erza chapter ever to be conceived. Its literally "Because shes Erza!" But even worse.
She got completely manhandled by all 3 of them, she is about to collapse and faint. So what does she do? She gives them an intimidating look, and for some reason that makes the other 3 shit themselves and disappear, when they are in a prime position to kill Erza because shes out of gas.
Wtf kind of nonsense is this? Like even if Erza wasnt about to be KO'ed, this would still be stupid, but its amplified even further due to the fact she was about to be knocked out.
I told ya guys, When an enemy has an insane power, where its so OP, the only way for them to lose is through the dumbest shit means in existence.
Though I guess you can technically say Neinhart defeated her. But now it seems hes shitting his pants because of her relation to some nobody named Eileen. (Not to mention Jellal looks like hes going to summon 1 million meteors)
I mean just think about what this means for the other Neinhart creations. They will lose not because of them actually being beaten in battle, but because of their opponent intimidating them away or w/e
The only saving grace of this chapter is more bondage Erza. And hopefully Eileen is some mega milf if it turns out shes Erzas mother.

These guys were extracted from Erza's memory, and they behaved like Erza remembered them and proceeded to overwhelm her with abilities she already experienced. It wouldn't be that weird if they'd lose power after she stopped seeing them as real opponents, and started seeing them as the past they actually are.
Probably a combination of that and the magical power that runs in her family. That Eileen person is probably either her mother or sister. Probably one of the 2 remaining Spriggans.
I'm not trying to make FT look as something more than it is, but there's valid criticism and then there's inflated criticism.

It's rather perplexing that most of powerful mages in FT didn't train enough to figure out their own magics' logical weaknesses and how to get around it. It's actually embarrassing for people of their caliber.
I can understand why superluccix wasn't convinced with how Erza beat her historia zombies. Probably because the "Death Glare" will be an exclusive conclusion for Erza in this matter. Huge chance that the rest of historia zombies won't be dealt with the same line of thinking, especially when Neinhart is about to go down before that's allowed to happen.

Though that is just assumptions, and big one at that. What we know is that the guy takes the info of people minds and bring them back to life, literally! They don't behave how people remembered, he manipulates how they do! Remember, The other girl's(the one with Jellal) Brother wouldn't attack them, nor Ur would attack gray. The skeleton even says that he is a puppet, Ur also says something of that manner.
Nothing was said nor implied that the "Historias" would disappear by the state of mind of their adversary, or by intimidation. The only relation of the Historias had with the adversaries is they belong to their past somehow. Saying that "wouldn't be that weird if they's lose power after she stopped seeing them as real opponents" is the same as "maybe a way to exorcise souls is by intimidating them with deadly stares" .
In fact the theory that they disappeared because she didn't see them as real opponents and they came from her mind is refuted in this same chapter. The guy that makes the Historias(I forgot his name) explicitly says why they disappeared: "My Historia…They cowered in fear...and vanished". So it was intimidation and nothing more!
Also the problem is not only that intimidation would make them disappear, but also the fact that they got intimidated with just that and worse intimidated in that situation. This is basically another Lyon in the Grand Magic Games(others all beat up, him in a mega advantageous position, intimidation stare, wet his pants and gives up).

But really, Neinhart only had Simon card to play against Jelly? That's beyond pathetic. I'm perplexed that they let this miserable sack of joke wander by himself whereas August who's dubbed as strongest member had two fellow Spriggans with him. Meh, Neinhart is barely a character anyway. He's just more of a tool for resolving Erza, Jelly and Kagura's conflicts in one fell swoop.

Seems like Mashima pours his effort more into decorating the finishers and keeping them clean instead of showing the force of their impacts with more flair. Everything feels like skip-to-finisher-of-still-frames than actual flowing fight. It may have something to do with how he utilizes dash/zoom lines or lack proper use thereof.
If you take notice, the zoom-out scene which shows the waters where the ships are floating on look unnaturally calm. It's like a giant pond with no wind around whatsoever.

The females should've been obvious, I way overthought it with Dia. I only just now understood the 47 reference, and would've put august in the other place. I don't remember any butlers unless we are talking about the guy that sticks with Zeref.

Somehow her using that ultimate time magic allowed her spirit to stay in the time realm, which Dimaria entered or something.
