So glad Law and the Wano group will not be around during the Tea Party. I seriously need a break from them. I just wish Robin was going along with Luffy too.
I am still confused as how Oden/Inuarashi/Nekomamushi fit regarding the crews they followed, but if anything, if Mangastream wording is correct, this chapter hinted that Shanks and Buggy went to Raftel as well.

Poor Whitebeard Pirates. They fought a war to bring their crewmate back, which resulted the death of the said crewmate and their captain, and now they are broken and scattered, remnants of the (argubably) strongest pirate crew. To make things worse, the one who destroyed them was their former crewmate.
Their lives suck.Waiting for Edward Weeble and Jack touching father-son reunion :ninja:

In past 2 years we had a great battles like Akainu vs Aokiji and BB vs Marco. First one has lasted for 10 days. I wonder how long was the second one…

Any of the WB crew that survived the encounter with BB's crew, that is pretty damned impressive i must say given they have some pretty vicious killers on there.
That being said, it was a clear mismatch. I expect the other commanders are powerful guys, but realistically the heavy hitters of that crew were WB, Marco, Ace, Jozu, Vista…...prolly Thatch too, 3 of em are dead.... they never stood a chance.

So the idea that the Kouzuki clan are stand ins for the Imperial Royal Family is kinda hurt, I mean I suspected it but this lays it out that they're a Daimyo family (the feudal lords of Shogunate Japan). So yeah it alters things a bit with the Tokugawa/Bakumatsu inspirations. Not too much though.
Maybe Oda feels the royal family is a little too heavy and still relevant matter to directly project into a cartoon semi-metaphor or something. Because otherwise all signs point to a Meiji restoration…that I guess won't be a restoration but a new dynasty? -

Ah, I was kinda wondering what happened to the remaining WB pirates. Sucks to hear that they got badly beaten by the BB pirates but that was to be expected I suppose. :(
Anyway, a very nice chapter this was. Can't wait to see the SH crew and the minks duke it out with Jack and his crew! :)

Oda is weaving a lot of plot threads together here though, I wonder how the open ones will come in now.

As for the rest of the stuff, it was awesome, to see Cat Dog remembering their past and talking about Roger, Shanks, etc really enjoyable chapter.

In fact, I think they were supposed to learn about the Road Poneglyphs at this place (which is why Inuarashi says that the destination is redundant now). The Straw Hats actually ended up spoiling themselves.
This would also explain how Big Mom and Kaidou know about the significance of the Road Poneglyphs.

This would explain allot of inconsistencies with the timeline, no?

This sounds horrible and there are no insonsistencies… It was outright stated he lied... Still strange and I hope it will be like that and there isn't a huge shit as Roger actually has been alive and wasn't killed

I'm sure most of the Japanese audience knows about Shogunates and why they were made, but juxtaposing why they came to be in the same way in the series might be a bit too much exposition.

Also a side note, it seems odd that Jinbei never even mentioned the battle between the WB & BB pirates a year ago....despite mentioning other stuff...

It's not Jack's voice. It's the same thing that happened with sea kings on FI. And right when Zunisha started crying.

I'm very excited about the Wano Arc since it will involve a bunch of great characters. But aparently it will take a while until it actually starts. Since the series follows Luffy and he's going to Whole Cake Island first (and this being the Year of Sanji), Wano will probably be next year. Of course, I'm assuming that Whole Cake Island won't be a mini-arc. So now we'll have another half-crew arc, only with the other half. That's ok… I don't mind... I'm excited about everything!

A normal pirate crew would travel to the last island and find that One Piece was related with Raftel and the Poneglyths. With that info they would start searching for poneglyths. Possible Big Mon, Kaido and others pirates did that entire voyage and now are in continuously search and war for the poneglyths and Raftel.

Yeah! The Blackbeards apparently wrecked the remnant of the Whitebeards, if Mangastream's 'overwhelming defeat' is the correct translation. I can't wait for the inevitable flashback of the battle to finally see, and not just hear, Blackbeard and his crew being truly menacing. I'm tired of seeing my favorite character and his subordinates being smacked around. I want him to do the smacking until Luffy and him face off.

There's probably a different explanation. Either Momo wishfully created false memories to be a part of the great story or it's something else entirely.

People are forgetting that Momonosuke knew Nekomamushi and Inuarashi before and knew about their relationship with his father. There is some fishy about Momonosuke age. And now with this meeting Gol D. Roger increased it.

Yep. This is why Roger had to revise his course. He went after the Road Poneglyphs when he reached the end of the Log Pose route.
