ahaha I've participated in several AP awards but still make sure to read the rules.
I had to laugh at how you tried to make sure people read and then re-read the rules
I'm assuming this is rule three?=
"Do Not Proceed to Rule Four without Having Read Rule Three. Then read Rule Four. Reading Rule Five first is right out. If you wish to decline to participate, let an Event Staff know and we'll take you off. This needs to be done before voting begins though since that'd be unfair to both the people who nominated you and those who might have already voted."
I see rule four is out of sequence further down (and no, I didn't catch that in first reading) but then did a re-read and notice there is none labeled as rule 3, just that above paragraph
WOW..We are going to have a AP awards this year ? Cool !! I already read the rules and I am ready to join the fun.
What? Is already (near) that time of year?
Ah, that time again!
Gonna actively participate this year.
I've got a few nominations in mind. :D
I've never done one of these before, looking forward to it !
Dem rules. I´m still trying to find the inexistent rule #3. It will be my white whale.
So it's that time, eh?
Looking forward to it! :)
Is 2015 already over?! Guess I slept through it or something…
I swear the new mods could keep up with Robby.
I've always watched from afar, but maybe I will join in this time around :)
Maybe is just me, but I find it quite hard to find bad (or even good) threads this year.
Dem rules. **I´m still trying to find the inexistent rule #**3. It will be my white whale.
Its there, its the paragraph that's not numbered, after rule 2. Of a clear statement, go to the Nomination tread, its there by its self.

haha I go by a really biased system- If I really enjoyed the thread, its good enough to be nominated. If I run out of thread or cringe at idea of reading it ….
True I had to looking because I didn't remember which ones did have me cringing at first as I tend to stay out of a lot. But found a few to consider.
I just kind of wandered into these award threads randomly (I normally stick to just a few threads and didn't even know there were awards) and saw your nomination for me, Katzztar :) Thank you! Seems my decision to make the final Abridged was well-timed. I averaged maybe 1-2 replies between the Abridged and Chapter threads (since I posted to both) for each Abridged, and while the feedback was always positive, an award nomination makes it feel a little less like my work was winding up lost in space each time I posted it, lol.

Even if I didn't always replied, I always laughed at each post and admired the work put in to both alter the text and to put in the humor.

There's a white whale hidden in your ava, right? Good luck catching!
Thoroughout this year there been bits where I think "this is gonna be on the awards", but now that it's (already) here I can't remember any of those parts.
^Yeah, my memory sucks when it comes to these things but I'll do my best.

Search the answer in your heart and you will find it.
I swear next year I will keep notes of possible nominations. I forgot a lot that could be nominated.
Say, where is Ballot Box?

Yeah I'll try to do so too.
Is it me or the noms are kinda slow this year?

I think some people have not discovered its open yet.
Then some don't have a suggestion for the open noms. Such as me, one I'd do for the best debate is already nominated and can't think of 2nd choice.

This. There were a crapton of posts I could have nominated for funniest, but I forgot them all.
Since it was said that the Awards could happen later than usual, I didn´t even thought about keeping track of them.
^Thanks SpaceCowboy for the nomination.
passes him the money
Thanks everyone for nominations! I haven't been as involved as much because of time being eaten up by school and stuff but it's nice to feel the love
Thanks for the nomination, Katzztar.
About forgetting nominations, next time you see a good post or moment in this forums, save them in a file titled "possible nominations for AP awards", I did this this year :ninja:.
No I didn't :v
I took that late nomination by the way. Thought I'd mention it here since people don't always pay attention.
Ah yes, I see that Darth's been nominated for best moment already, nice.
Just a note on what was easily the best post in that whole hullabaloo:
@TLC:
Darth's idea of constructive criticism was constantly whinging on the same nitpicks and blowing them way out of proportion over and over.
Pot, meet kettle.
I keed I keed.
Best Moment: AP "replays" Sonic The Hedgehog, the 2006 masterpiece.
…I have no memory of posting in this thread.
Hey, Outerspec, thanks for the nomination! I honestly wasn't expecting that lol

Your brain put your mind in a defense mechanism.
Thanks for the nod meta! Nice and unexpected too seeing how much I like forgetting most of my posts :ninja:
Poot poot I squandered a year and became more like a lurking butt.
Though I did post some and these nominations are twisty ducking fresh.
You guys probably have this figured out, but is it possible for the us, the people, to purpose categories?
A "best lurker" or "best Other manga/anime thread subtitle" could be fun, even if hard to find some nominations.
Also, "Best Pagaya reference" is a must.

I believe the catagories are all set. However, there are bonus rounds that are done for fun. If enough people are interested in a topic suck as "Best Pagaya reference", then maybe they will make it a bonus round
Out of curiosity, how would we determine the winner of the best lurker? Wouldn't the best lurker, by default, go completely unnoticed?
We have the Lurker thread at General Discussion Salute to help us making the nominations.
Then we vote on the guy we know the least about.
Obviously the 100% lurkers will be rewarded by knowing they win the category by not even getting nominated.
Did this make sense? No? Ok, we´ll still do it anyway.
We did some negative awards like best troll, most annoying, something like that.
I think those would draw people away. Either that or create some massive shitstorm depending on the nominees.
The "Best Pagaya Reference" definitly would not have that risk guys.
Seriously, let´s make this community´s dream come true.
Please.
Closest I can think of negative categories for users in AP Awards past were Most Perverted, Biggest Pimp and Craziest, with the former two having been retired sometime around 2012-13.
With yesterday being new years eve I was unable to vote.
I wanted to nominate Bugs as most articulate writer, darn it. :getlost:
@Galaxy:
Thanks for the nomination!
You're most welcome :)
