I can't help but feel I'm missing something with the Ryunosuke part. The setting sun and crying over a sad drawing looks like a funny deviation of movie clichés, but is there more to it? I looked up the name but aside the fact it litteraly means "dragon herald", I couldn't pinpoint a reference. Is Oda winking at some famous japanese movie/drama here?

Robin in this chapter is so disgusting…
Looking back at her childhood, we all know she never had a chance to enjoy everything cute like other normal child - being slaved, hunted by world goverment, hunted by pirates etc. - it is only now she had a chance to face the true peace beside her friends, so i understand how her inner child now taking over this devil child's feeling especially towards cuteness

Oh man, this chapter was an amazing introduction to Zou. The brief Zoro vs Carrot skirmish has me super hyped for what's to come. Also as previously speculated - Bepo/Pekkoms etc confirmed for minkman(?) since they seem to indeed be based on multiple animal species.
Also, Carrot is reminding me of Iron Knight.
Whoa, I totally see it. :blink: Kinda sorta reminds me of Nashetania too, design-wise.
Speaking of, are those her actual hands or some kind of weaponized gauntlet/glove? Seems like the latter.

I am pretty sure the monkey is not Raizou, but someone who is trying to be like him.
Kanjurou mentions that Raizou was a "Tetete" ninja according to Aohige. "Etetete" would be a pun on that + human monkey (etekou… remember Etemon), like Bariete is trying to be a ninja by mimicking Raizou but OPing it by making monkey references in the middle of it.
Also, I'm pretty sure this Bariete person is the monkey kid. Not only the dialogue makes it kinda obvious, but... Bariete unless the kana is more like barieto

of course it might be some kind of strange combination..like aizou being from zou and having two different names depending on the island,but the fact that after he almost killed kinemon and kanjuro his first thought was about people transpassing..it probably isn't raizou but someone who imitates him,because ninjas are cool i presume -

I hope they will hang out more. I think there could be some really good banter between the two. They haven't really interacted much at all, but the little things we've seen has been classic stuff. Although I think Law has been awfully quiet lately. I hope he will still have room in the story and not just split off when he finds his crew again.
