Since this is a Pokemon thread.
I been wanting to play Pokemon Black again recently since it's my favorite, but I quickly got bored and wanted more of a challenge. Not finding the concept of Nuzlockes fun at all since it mostly revolves around grinding, I decided to try a romhack out. Blaze Black looked exactly up my alley, and to my surprise… it actually is! It has every single mon up to Gen5 available, and the distribution not only feels natural, but very varied with alot of possible ways to create teams. Trainers and Gym leaders use interesting new sets(leader keep their signature Pokemon, but I noticed they great synergy really well with the chosen sets), there's a bit more double battles, and some "what-if" tweaking to typings and movesets(like Cut is a Grass move with 60 Base Power, and Wotter evolves into a Fighting/Water type). It feels like the romhacker knew exactly what he was doing, and I've been having a blast experiencing a veteran's version of this game.|
I highly suggest it to anyone thats loves BW, but would like to experience it a little differently. It might be fun to Nuzlocke too since the options to vast, but... do know that trainer sets are pretty damned cleaver. Not hard, but cleaver. Been playing it without the shift option so it's more like online battles along with the rule of using no potions in all battles(unless grinding), and 1-2 heals any match where trainers do heal.
