The summary from earlier which seems to be confirmed with the new pic. Translated by Royal-kun of (I'm assuming /a/).
! >131: "Waiting For That Person"
! >Starts with color page, Rindou-senpai remarks "Kuga is losing, this is crazy!" while eating (she talks like a tomboy, by the way)
! >Kuga reflects that Souma and Co. reset their standards to Saturday (Day 4), which sees a surge in people, and observed the attendees
Kuga is frustrated, "I was so close"
Kuga and Rindou-senpai are like an onee-san and her little brother
Enter Rindou-senpai: "You lost in sales, Kugaaa?"
Rindou-senpai was wandering around and eating instead of competing in the Moon Banquet Festival
! >Kuga admits his loss to Souma, Souma says Moon Banquet is 5 days and the fight isn't over yet
He meant to win on the 5th day too, but lost in total sales
Rindou-senpai says something along the lines of "you came up with/demonstrated a great plan but lacked foresight"
Souma had no intention of losing in terms of service and was disappointed that didn't come up in conversation (?)
! >Meanwhile, Alice and Co. on Main Street make chocolate with a 3D printer and put it on curry to high acclaim
The customers are very pleased
! >At Uptown, Erina saved a seat for Jouichirou though she wasn't certain if he was coming
! >Kuga and Rindou talking
Rindou laughs that this year's Autumn Leaf Viewing was just like last year's
Souma had said the same exact thing(s) as Kuga
Tsukasa had a Shokugeki with Kuga and wrecked him
This year Kuga had Tsukasa promise him another Shokugeki if he took 1st in the Central Area for all five days (Tsukasa did this last year)
Rindou and Souma decide to visit 1st Seat's stand at night
! >We return to Erina
Her father enters her shop -
Next chapter sounds awesome.
-
Loving these colour pages.

Haha oh wow I just assumed she was Yoshino until you pointed her out
Tbh Hisako looks nothing like herself in that colourspread. Hair, glasses, facial expression, mannerisms….

Finally got around to watch last week's episode and I'm disappointed that they skipped out the Ping-Pong chapter…

Whoa.
The girl has the same hair color and eye color as Soma and Joichirou.
Yeah a lot of people mentioned it back during the Elite 10 reveal in 118-119 color versions but I guess now it is official.
! Also she act very similar to Souma in the chapter… Plus she is 2nd seat like Joichirou. Really seems like there will be some familial relation reveal at some point.
-
^you mean like, she'll start shoving disgusting food down other people's throats?
-
The same hair colour and eye colour is kinda conspicuous…especially when it's the same as the main protagonist. It's definitely deliberate on the author part.
! The 2nd seat can really eat and she so skillful in holding the food. How much have she spend for the past 5 days?!
-
Huh. I didn't see it posted. But there was a couple inbetweener chapters this week. http://casanovascans.com/read/shokugeki_no_soma/en/0/130/3/page/2

Kuga backstory, 1st seat hype, and also Rindou in action! I kinda had a feeling she would be a big eater, since Kobayashi is also the name of a famous competitive eater. For real. And last but not least:
!
Final Villain spotted! -
God lord. I love his character design. That was definitely unexpected.
-
He might not get the Shokugeki battle that he wanted, but Soma won something even better. A date with Rindou!
-
Screw Megumi.
Screw Alice.
Screw every other girl.
Kobayashi Rindo is best girl.
Period. -
Awesome chapter! So much character info, cool food, competition and serious HYPE

The last page gave me a small impression that we are gonna enter a stage where cooking will decide the fate of the world.

Thankfully the title of this manga is not Shokugeki no Toriko.

Rindou is awesome, +1 for the Soma harem

@TLC:
Rindou is awesome, +1 for the Soma harem
But she looks different from all the others. As much as she says she likes soma, I feel she can say the same thing about other guys. Which makes her look stronger. She also looks independent, smart and carefree. An amusing character to me.
-
I feel like we're getting 2 chapter in one. So much stuff going on.
I love the fact that Kuga will probably offer a shokugeki out of acknowledgement of Soma's skill instead of revenge. I think many of us expected him to be outright pissed at Soma and take his revenge on Soma through the shokugeki. I'm glad that the author didn't take that route. Instead, we get some positive character development for Kuga this chapter.
Tsukasa's pretty cold-blooded. He's like "I will gladly accept your shokugeki and then proceed to murder Kuga in a cool-blooded fashion". Also, Tsukasa taking 1st place for all 5 days in Central area last year is pretty impressive. Make me wonder why he isn't doing that well this year. The uptown area may not be the same as the central area but coming in 5th for the first day is a bit weak. Maybe he improved over the days?Rindou interaction with Kuga is fun too. The loud-mouthed and hot headed Kuga can't do shit against his senpai. Interesting that he uses senpai for Rindou but not for Tsukasa. I guess he's closer to her since he call her by her first name too.
Rindou is definitely a contender for best girl. For a second seat, she sure is carefree that she didn't even bother opening a booth. Instead, she spend the entire festival eating. lol I'm pretty sure Tsukasa would have something to say about her irresponsibility. I'm quite looking forward to the interaction between Rindou and Tsukasa. Their personality is bound to clash. Wonder if he's able to handle her with his timidness.
Rindou is already making more progress with Soma than the other. She's literally asking him out on a date! haha. I can imagine Takumi and Nikumi being all jealous next chapter. And, of course, Erina's dad. For some reason, I think he will pull an 180 personality shift next chapter. I just don't think he's an outright serious guy but more along the line of a troll. Next chater, it could be revealed he bought Joichirou along with him just to mess with his daughter. If he's a serious guy, I imagine he will be something similar to Asano Sr from AssClass.
My personal crack theory:
Despite being a talented chef, Daddy Nakiri has perfectly the art of making outright terrible food. He use his family members and friends as test subject. He's essentially a jerk that like to troll. He constantly challenge Erina to cooking battles and each time she loses, she has to taste his absolutely awful food experiment. After too many loses, she got traumatized and scared of him. The reason why Erina look up to Joichirou is because she think he's opposite of her dad…:ninja:Kuga backstory, 1st seat hype, and also Rindou in action! I kinda had a feeling she would be a big eater, since Kobayashi is also the name of a famous competitive eater. For real.
Haha! That's pretty neat. Though kobayashi isn't exactly an uncommon surname.
-
Admittedly Rindou was also shown snacking
Reading the Tea Ceremony again, there wasn't any explicit foreshadowing of Kuga challenging Tsukasa before. Buuttt, there is one panel which has Rindou gleaming knowingly. It's not only Rindou being awesome, it's also becuase she's having Deja Vu lol.I'm just super exited to see was the 1st Seat's dishes are. I don't even know anything about food, I just want to see what's the author wants to show us. What is the cooking of the best cook in Totsuki? Why's is he the best? It's similar to our first glance at Kaido, and similar to the fact that I like (well done) top 10 lists.
-
I think Daddy will turn out to be an Asano from Assassination-Classroom kinda guy.

Who are the girls in the middle and on the far right of the color spread?

This chapter was great, interesting information regarding Kugo's past and his relationship with Rindo. Erina's father looks quite ominous so far.

The girls from left to right:
1. Ikumi, Megumi, Hisako, Erina and Alice. -

As far as we know, Rindou could be the main girl in Tsukasa's harem. The first seat need a harem too! So, Soma already lost there.:ninja:

! The first seat is a pretty interesting character. He came a long way from his initial appearance.lol
Dude is a nervous wreck once he stop cooking. LOL
Tsukasa needlessly worry about the air-conditioning, the seating and the general wellbeing of his customers. BUT he never once asked his customers "how does his food taste" as he's extremely confident in his cooking. -
Part of me wants this to really go the Yakitake Japan way just to get a good laugh out of it.
Go full on cooking rescue arc for Erina from her father. But then it kind of would be a waste. Oh well. So anyone having any thoughts on why they Hisako and Erina would be so shocked/afraid anyway?
I can only think of "tasting abuse"(sounds so wrong lol) from her dad. Pretty much just using her talent for his own cooking experiments.
Might also explain why Hisako's medical cooking was such a good fit for her. That way she could help to cleanse her plate/help her health from whatever she had to eat. But who knows ¯_(ツ)_/¯ -
SunnyBlue's theory about Daddy Nakiri being a troll most likely is false; but he might be right in pointing that Daddy Nakiri and Jouichiro oppose each other in some respect very important for Erina. The thing there it's how to develop the characters so that Erina doesn't felt in love of Jouichiro (the teenager that idealizes a mature man for having all the goods her dad didn't had, she admires him, she felts in love of him etc etc…). At least that the authors want that to happen. Anyway, it's nice the plot is not predictable now.

I was mainly joking with that theory.
However, SnS is a light-hearted series with some ocassional serious moments. So, I don't really see Daddy Nakiri as an outright bad person contrary to his appearance. At most, he will be this huge jerk that can be redeem later in the series. Like all the "bad guys" we have seen in the series so far.
Shinomiya, Subaru and Kuga were all jerk but were shown in more positive light later on.
There's still Eizan though…but he kinda fails as a villain...Also, there's trend of super skilled chef being slightly "quirky". Eg: Senzaemon with his stripping, Isshiki with his nudist lifestyle, Tsukasa with his timidness, Gin with his crossdressing, Joichirou with his horrible experiment etc, Leonora with her poor japanese skills.
I'm kinda expecting Daddy Nakiri to be this "overly enthusiastic doting dad" one minute and then switch to 'ghoulish dad" the next minute.
I'm guessing Daddy Nakiri'sI don't think Erina love Joichirou in that sense. It's more of an admiration kind of love.

-
I'm just here impatiently waiting for Casanova's scans, but in the meantime I theorise that whatever makes Daddy Nakiri evil, he's gonna inflict it on the 1st Seat. I'd hate to say so, but right now he's a perfect target (or jobber) for His Evilness.
Well, I don't think that Daddy Nakiri is doing any food-related abuse, whatever it may imply. I suppose he's just an arrogant ass in general, just with a superb cooking sense.
Maybe a bit like Kaibara Yuzan (I have all 7 of Viz Media's Oishinbo compilation. I don't even know why.) -
! Where are the foodgasms of tasting the first elite ten food, uh? Not good. :getlost:

A shokugeki between Soma and Tsukasa would be like a knight vs samurai themed or something,
-
-
"But I would've preferred to eat a dish with your "passion" in it, Tsukasa."
Rindou clearly wants the first seat.:ninja: -
Tsukasa is such a nice change up from the standard best of the best at whatever the main character tries to overcome. Usually in a competitive style series the curewnt best to beat is overly stoic too cool for school. This guy has a hint of that but is mostly just so neurotic and panicky. It's great lol. I'd like to see Tsukasa, Megumi and Shiomi stuck in an endless panicky apology loop.
-
He's cool about what he does, and not much else, is like eiji from bakuman, but instead of eccentric, just plain nervous.
-
The author chose a really cool and effective way of demonstrating his skill,
with the way Megumi shuddered when Soma pointed out that the only thing he wasn't nervous about was the taste of his dish.I could feel the chill through the page.
-

I wonder if not putting his passion on his dishes is his Achilles heel. At least, not wondering about the flavor of the dishes to the dinners is rather an odd style of cooking. I mean, not-putting-your-passion-on-your-dishes, and erasing all sign of you on them is rightly the opposite of Putting-your-heart-on-your-dishes. Two different styles of cooking.
In fact, Tsukasa is obsessive and neurotic. And I wonder if he's happy when he cooks. After all, cooking is like a celebration of life. Personally I don't like his style: being obsessive and searching for perfection but not enjoying what he makes. But sure he's a great and interesting character; and his introduction enriches the plot.

I'm gonna have to stop you because I can't keep reading your post. The correct spelling is "cooking".
