Speaking of Bonsai trees, is it safe to say him being the antagonist in Wano is no longer just a theory?
Well if the good translation still calls him "Lord Kaido", then that's a possibility. I'm not sure, but I think those powerful rulers of Japan were called "Daimyo or lord" around the Edo period.

Well, if Kaido has that much influence on Wano I'm sure we are going to see Moriah soon. He sure has some tooth to pick with that guy - and Wano unknowingly has a tooth to pick with Moriah, seeing how he stole Ryuma's corpse from there.
And I really hope that's Enel appearing before Urouge. His comeback is imminent and tying it with Urouge would make too much sense.
I like how Sakazuki was portrayed this chapter. Yes, he his an extremist, but still a firm believer in his (warped) justice, who won't take too much shit even from the Gorosei and the Tenryubito. I wonder if this will be already the end of Fujitora's marine career, since it's pretty obvious he won't take Luffy and Law.

Never reading Panda translations again.. But amazing chapter regardless. Fujitora and Capone will probably be in the spotlight for the next couple of chapters, assuming the translation is somewhat correct.

my guess is because they are the only crew who doesn't have an enormous number of members and allies..every time we saw shanks and his crew they were always chilling by themselves on some island..also they don't see the kind of guys to run big business-like activities with lot of henchmen,they are basically the equivalent of the mugiwara..few guys but extremely powerful

It seems like Shanks has the smallest crew/resources of the emperors (probably due to Shanks' attitude rather than a lack of strength).
That alone could make Shanks the logical choice for an uprising amongst the Yonko.

Haven't read bleach in like a year but I know thier Naruto translations were better, seems like whoever translates the One Piece chapters is not a fan of One Piece and is not a fan of English either.

What I found out most interesting (besides Kaido, of course) is that Akainu is having a conflict on 2 fronts; besides Fujitora, he is also arguing with the Gorosei on their position when it comes to the Celestial Dragons (whom Akainu doesn't seem to like).
Glad to see Oda breaking the usual formula of things calming down as we get ready for the Strawhats' next adventure; instead, things are now escalating at break neck speeds with Akainu/Fujitora conflict, Kaido and the world reacting to DD's defeat. -

It was a natural assumption to make given they're referred to as the world's highest authority, they live in Mariejoa…..and as for asshole attitude, ordering the annihilation of Orihara ranks up there does it not?......That is a huge disappointment if that is the case, i was expecting there would be more to the 5 of them, if they're not C/.D then they're just a waste of time, and pawns of the C.D's who hold the real power over the world to do as they please....

The central crew would certainly still be a massive challenge, even for the 3 allied crews, but their chances are still much, much higher with that strategy.

They'll certainly have a tougher time of it then they would fighting against any one of The Kidd Pirates, The Hawkins Pirates or The On Air Pirates individually, though.

This could be it, but all emperors seem to have a large territory around them, so even if they have smaller numbers compared to BM, BB and Kaido, i wonder if there are serious personal reasons, or if Shanks has more to him than we know (he looked pretty sinister in that panel and in the colorspread of the New Age for example)

First time in a long time I feel like I've read One Piece and it was like golden days before timeskip. Don't even know what to say, but since I've been harking about Kid I guess I'll start with him. RED HAIR?! R.I.P bro, I thought he was smart but nope, the sad thing is I bet his reasoning would be "there's only room for one red hair in this new age" (followed by trademark forced laughter)
In all honesty, they might get help from Blackbeard as some have suggested earlier because no way in hell would Shanks and crew ever lose to these wannabes, I'm actually really disappointed their alliance are targeting someone that strong. Mainly because I wanted to see them go further in the story, not be destroyed like Whitebeard did to Crocodile. So they're Shanks' hype tools.
Luffy would have to defeat Shanks at some point but if his rival does it it would raise the bar on their so-called rivalry because other than their bounty levels being close and having same goals we don't see much rivalry going on between the two where it's actually personal.
Fujitora isn't bringing anyone in so I think Akainu will do away with him, sadly. Was good to see the bastard with scars of his own though.
If that is Enel what's he doing back from space? That was most certainly NOT Kaido's silhouette, it looked more like a palace and does it look like there's a blizzard or something?
Five Elder stars assigning Cipher Pol with what mission exactly? Take out Strawhat? That part was confusing.
I have no idea what Bonney is doing and she seems happy that her fellow supernovas are performing miracles. Capone looks to be a sellout.Amazing chapter.

Ordering the annihilation of a civilization that could threaten the existence of the world is a whole different kettle of fish to the pretty, spoiled and ultimately vicious attitudes of the Tenryuubito.
The Gorosei killed the oharans at least on the premise of maintaining world peace, The Tenryuubito kill and enslave for fun and personal gain.

There will still be a lot to them, even without being Tenryuubito themselves.
Who are they really?
Where did the come from and how did they get their position?
Do they actually support the Tenryuubito or are they simply a political juggernaut that has to be appeased?

Good chapter. Plenty to get stuck into. Of course Shanks isn't going to lose to these upstarts but I could see it as the beginning of the end for him.
Shanks damaged but on the verge of victory after a punishing battle… then Blackbeard moseys on in to finish the job on a weakened opponent. Wouldn't be the first time.
