There's something about Shima's brand of exposition dumping that leaves me slightly unsatisfied. That is to say, this is not a bad chapter, but. . .I don't know. Maybe it's the fact that I can't get behind the overall conflict? I don't know. Anyways.

Since I've become a bit tired of Komatsu, an arc all for him doesn't sound all that appealing, but it seems like there'll be some aquatic adventures before Matsu can go on his cooking thingie, so I hope those aquatic adventures are great. I'm a sucker for giant sharks and the like, so here's hoping Shima goes coco bananas with that scenario. I want megalodons left and right.

I think its already happening with Toriko. There has been some focus on his right eye after he ate Air.

Well, at this point, that would be hilarious (or a guy with triangle related powers or something), runing gag turned serious, but if he did it always, it's not special when he does it.

Almost all of Kinnikuman's iconic characters were based on submissions from readers. Warsman, Neptuneman, Asuraman, even Robinman.

At this point it's just Toriko's "thing" that most of the monsters are taken from reader suggestions. It's still up to Shima to actually finalize the design and then implement it.

Oh well, guess it's not like we haven't seen it before, naruto's war took forever.

Well, a month can be a long time if done right. The whole of the pair arc was only 3 days. Hell, Dressrosa's arc is 1 day (as ridiculous as that is).

if Shima plays his cards well, a month can be just the right amount of time to get all the ingredients without it feeling rushed or the manga reaching the end of the line super fast.

Hopefully his time striking out on his own will give Komatsu some powerups. Between strengthening his heart and awakened gourmet cells, this looks like the perfect opportunity to completely shake off his comic relief status and start actively contributing to fights.

IMO Toriko might end in around 3 years.

We still have to see who is gonna be the FV, Midora,Starjuun, Joa or Accacia.

Not sure how it stands up in the original text, but going off the translation -

Recent chapters suggest that the world is about to change. Entirely possible that Toriko's Blue Oni is waiting for that change to start consuming things. I definitely could see a scenario in where Toriko's Blue Oni changes hosts, and we get some sort of Red vs Blue chapter late in the series.

Well, at least we got a reason for the Acacia-Nitro alliance. So either they are subordinate to him cause of the demon king, or the eating each other part allowed them to communicate.

Still don't know why he had to fake his death to his disciples and exactly how much Ichiryuu knew.

I'm assuming they use different words for EARTH and the actual Earth in the Japanese version. English for the former, Japanese for the latter.

Also, I think the real Acacia really did die – the Gourmet Demon inside him just took over his body after he died, and allied with the Nitro.

Hrmm, so basically you're speculating he's like Joa to Frozhe? That would be a pretty interesting design to see.

Yeah. Notice that he has differently colored skin in the recent chapter, instead of the light skin in Midora's flashback – it looks like the skin color of a Gourmet Demon.

The map had the same characteristics as the real world, terrian, gravity and such and they put a drop of pair in the center, where Another is supposed to be. The mold found an optimal way to reach it.

Finally, a chapter I really liked. Interesting use of a power and ingredient to figure out the safe path to the next destination. Brunchi and Starjun entrance was quite cool, and look forward to the later conversations with him. The old nitro offing the creatures with a fish was pretty cool as well. The idea of the giant snake leaving tornados in its path was also pretty cool.

Crazy world with crazy powers, that's what I like to see.

I liked the chapter a lot too, the sea monster was really great (even though actual electric and fire monsters living in the sea would be even more amazing), and i liked also getting some insight on the snake king for the future. Didn't expect to meet Jiji so soon, but the faster the plot moves the better, here's hoping that he will be the best hermit since Chichi was just a dude with a gag seen since forever, and Kaka was just an info dumpster without not much else (by the design though Jiji is already the best).

The moving islands were really cool too, i wonder if we will get to see them a bit.
